Welcome to the fourth installment of my Bayesic Training series!
In this video I break down the coin lines, mushroom strategies, and NISCs for Thwomp Ruins on 150cc. This course has a ton of stuff going on, and will probably take a while not only to learn what the strats are, but to execute all of them properly in a single run
Couple of notable differences between my strats and the world record ghost. First, it's possible to build up SMTs on the ramp at the start of the track, but it's very difficult to do it without screwing up your lines in the first bit of ruins. Ditto as to why I don't build up SMTs coming out of the final bit of ruins.
The second difference is on lap 3, where I trick off the ramp instead of doing the weird glider stuff that the WR currently does. This is because I think it's only faster if you use motion glider strats, which as I've discussed elsewhere, I will not be doing in my tutorials. Игры
The most consistent way I have found to always hit tricks off ramps is to trick when your back wheel leaves the ramp. The game for some reason tends to eat your input sometimes if you press while you are still in contact with the ramp, but has very generous timing when it comes to how late you can trick.
Thank you for this. I read this comment a year or two ago and luckily, I remembered I read this advice for Thwomp Ruins, but I couldn't remember what you said. Stupidly, I'm having a problem consistently tricking off the NISC ramp in Mario Kart Stadium. I'm hoping this will help.
It was discussed in later episodes, but for those who still don't know, difficult tricks can be buffered by shaking your controller, effectively making you trick as early as possible, without having to time your jump. Quite effective on this track.
Great video! It’s really cool to understand all the advanced starts in MK.
I see that this type of video is more TT oriented but it could also be really interesting that you share some additional shortcuts that can be used in online races in specific situation (if you have multiple shrooms or if the guys is front of you is holding a red shell for example).
Anyhow, thanks for the great content 👍👍
You know, that’s actually a really good idea. I think going forward I might actually start incorporating that into the rest of my tutorials. Thanks for the suggestion!
Thank you!

Got a 2:00:158 thanks for the bayesic training dude, this training series is awesome!
thanks for the video, i love this series
Thanks man appreciate it!
These videos are awesome! Im cutting time everywhere!
Like and comment dropped here ! Ty for these tutorials!!
Great vid as always, nice to see you doing a tutorial on a good track for once.
🤣🤣🤣
Some parts of this track do not allow for a jumpboost. It makes me believe that Nintendo actually designates zones where this is allowed or not.
Found this video yesterday, didnt implement it perfectly but managed to improve by over 5 seconds to 1:58:015. Thanks so much!
Edit: up to 1:56:667!
i love it
Thanks for the tips! Managed to beat your record, getting a 1:55.101
Legend
to be honest, i only just found your channel
and i love it
these mk8 deluxe hints are awesome and really help me in learning the game
are there certain strats you would recommend a beginner in mk8 deluxe (only played wii before) to train?
Or do you have certain tracks to "warm up" before a round of online kartin?
I mean the main thing is honestly drifting, and in particular trying to learn how to soft drift as soon as you can. If you do that well you’ll be better than like 99% of people that play this game lol
Other than that I don’t really have specific tracks that I practice on to warm up
*THIS IS THE 6900TH PLACE WHERE THE GAME CAN EAT YOR TRICK INPUTS FOR NO REASON*
Shaking the controller prevents the game from eating your tricks! (Got that from JPGiviner)
It can help for the glider and end of track ramps, but the lap 3 glider and stair ramp there’s sometimes nothing you can do about it just cause of how the course is designed
@@Bayesic oh ok thanks!
Do you think the shaking strat used in mt wario could work to eat the tricks less?
I’ve tried and it doesn’t seem to help. It’s something about the stairs causing you to get a little bit of air time. At least that’s my theory haha
Question: Why change up for the different laps? Thanks for your videos. :)
Not sure what you mean
@@Bayesic I tend to go the same way in all 3 laps. I noticed you go different ways for the 3 laps. Just curious. :)
For this one, he goes up the wall lap one to grab the six coins
@@patrickandresen4356 Yep, and the shortcut across the middle of the temple pool in lap 3 isn't available in laps 1 and 2.
Am I the only one doing this for the golden wheels?
and now there are baby strats
My hands hurt enough from the non baby strats man…
