    Welcome to the third installment of my Bayesic Training series!
    In this video I break down the coin lines, mushroom strategies, and NISCs for Sweet Sweet Canyon on 150cc. Pretty straightforward course to learn if you're not doing baby strats, with the only advanced strat being fast glider. Not only that, but the fast glider on this course in particular is a lot easier to execute than some of the others

    i havnet played mario kart in a while. when i use to i was about 3-5 seconds behind on laps from the wr back then. ima catch back up quickly by watching this series. also i was the 100th sub !! wtf !!

      Yoooo much appreciated haha. My benchmark for being satisfied with a run is usually around 1.5 to 2 seconds off per lap, and it sounds like you’re not too far off of that already
      Getting it much faster than that almost always requires stuff that’s ridiculously hard to learn / implement

    Yay! I was struggling with the donut, even with this guide, but finally decided on the last lap of one of my runs that I wasn't going to do the first drift before the donut hole, left it out, just drove normally and found I could line up to drift through the hole better, getting my 3rd lap down to 40 seconds, which was enough to get me down to 2:06 total with 2 slightly lackluster earlier laps utilizing both drifts...poorly lol. Not great, but certainly enough for the staff ghost. Thank you so much, this was immensely helpful.

    Frick this track especially the donut portion. I was going to beat the time trial until I clipped the edge of the donut.

    I would reccomend doing a mini turbo trick off the pink ending ramp at the end of the split path

    • @Bayesic
      @Bayesic  3 года назад +2

      Not sure if that saves time / how much time it saves. I know it's possible to build up another MT as soon as you come out of the turn right before the ramp, but the setup is pretty weird and less consistent than just driving straight. I think it might not even be possible to save time at all if you're using the Dry Bowser / Wiggler setup that I use in this video since the only examples I could find that build up an extra MT use the Waluigi / Biddy build.
      I kinda based my approach to this track from a combination of the last WR that didn't use baby strats and the fastest shroomless time with video proof that I could find, and neither of them did the extra MT on the pink section

    I have a 1:53.319 using wario biddybuggy and I think button tires. I haven't been able to get close to it since.

    As a beginner, I’ve had MUCH more success with Rosalina, Biddybuggy, and Roller. I use a little less intense strats toward the end, but have achieved a time of 1:54.788.

    I can't even beat the stupid dev ghost.
    I have no clue how that donut drift thing works at the end, I always hit the wall or fly off track

    • @Bayesic
      @Bayesic  3 года назад

      I usually start my left drift and then try and go straight through the donut hole while holding right on the joystick… And then maybe like right after I get through the donut hole that’s when I start holding left

    Is it harder to get close to the wr on 200cc or 150cc?

    • @Bayesic
      @Bayesic  3 года назад +2

      It kind of depends, but I’d probably say in general it’s harder to get closer to WR on 150cc. The thing with 150cc is that because you’re going slower, there’s a lot more room for tiny optimizations, which add up to big time saves over the course of a run. The usual saying is that 200cc is hard to learn, but once you’ve learned it it’s not super hard to get good at. Whereas with 150cc, its really easy to learn, but insanely hard to even be halfway decent at
      For reference, my average 200cc times are typically between 3.5 to 4 percent slower than the WR, but my average 150cc time is typically between 4.5 and 5.5 percent slower than WR. Of course I’ve practiced 200cc a lot more than 150cc so take that for what it’s worth haha
