For all of your constant support I present to you all my very first full length special, a selection of audio stories by You Tuber Tardis9. I highly recommend checking out his channel and all his other stories he's done.
This is the story of two engines from the NWR's past that caused a great deal of trouble. Unlike the others, these two didn't have names, only numbers, 98462 and 87546. Both were as bad as each other, but their behaviour would soon come back to bite them.
Please note that this video is in no way shape or form connected to the universe of SDC so please don't get them confused. I hope you all enjoy this video.

That final crash was based on the Quntinshill rail disaster on the Caledonian Railway in 1915, it involved a double collision involving 5 trains, and exactly 226 deaths and 246 injuries.

I have heard of it, though it took place during world war 1 and this took place around the early twentieth century

Actually it reminds me of the Harrow and wealdstone train crash when 3 trans crashed bc 98462 & 87546 pulled a passenger train and crashed into Edwards coal train then Gordon’s express ran into the wreckage

That very unfortunate situation about this and never be happening again
The accident that killed 98462 and 87546 was a real event that happened, and the signalman in real life suffered from memory loss, also an engine crashed into the wreckage, in real life, 246 people were injured and 226 had died. Aka: one of the worst accidents.
It happened in the middle of The Great War.

For as horrible as 98462 and 87546 have been, it must have been hard for Edward to stand there, unable to help as he saw his fellow engines slowly die in the massive fire.

It is the Claughton class. Poor engines. They were great 10 wheelers, but those LMS fools never saw value in them.

I love how Edward said he was damaged to the point he had to be rebuilt to his old shape, yet, he was a good few feet away from the entire crash
Edward is an old engine and is kind to others Buț he needed to be built in His old shape bc of the accsident and 98462 and 87546 didnt listen to edward and that how end ITS not hes fault ITS they re fault bc They didnt listen to the other engines

It’s mostly because when it comes to the accident parts of this recreation, the accidents weren't exactly depicted well. If you listen to the story while picturing the events in your head, it starts to become clear that the recreations in this video are… well to be blunt, shit.

This Rail Disaster at the boarder of vicarstown on sodor on September 5th 1924 has got to be the worst rail disaster along with the Harrow and Wealdstone Disaster.
And also, September 5th was just a day away from my birthday on September 6th.

The crash that killed the 2 steam locomotives happened in the U.S.A when 2 steam locomotives were pulling a passenger train when an engine named flying Scotsman got his goods train in the way causing a massive accident which made 98462 and 87546 come off the rails and made a huge flame of fire then an blue tender engine named Gordon smashed into the werckage and got his pony truck derailed and as the fire was put out by the rescue engines 246 passengers were injured and what made matters worst was that 226 passengers had died out in that terrible crash and the 2 engines who were off the rails turned into scrap.
Edward needed a rebuild, but he was unscathed, and Winston could have backed up, because Edward wasn’t blocking him?

The end crash was like Quintinshill, where a careless signalman forgot about a train parked on the main line, another train hit it, and another train hit the wreckage. The coaches were even gas lit ones like in Quintinshill!

They don’t exist in this story. In this timeline, the two engines never got their names because of their foul behaviour, and so were scrapped before they were given them.
