    Using the ADJ Airstream DMX Bridge, can you control 2 groups of the S4 Minis with only one donner transmitter or would the 2 masters have to be on the same channel as the donner, which you said is not a good idea?

    • @NukePooch1
      @NukePooch1 Год назад +1

      The Donner transmitter has the same group colors as the lights. One transmitter will control one group color.... There are no master lights when running on wireless DMX...all the lights are the slaves. The master/slave configuration is when NOT being controlled by wireless DMX. ADJ Airstream has 1 output, so you can only run 1 Donner unless you use a DMX splitter.

    • @DJRickWeb
      @DJRickWeb  Год назад +1

      With wireless dmx like mentioned there are no masters. You put them all on the same wireless dmx group. You can then have groups via the different dmx channels. We have two different programmed channels in our setup (different numbers)

      You should ALWAYS include uplights in your package. Clients will often opt to not go with them if they are an additional charge. In my opinion. Just make your package more expensive. People like paying more when more is included instead of having to have to add on things. At least that’s the case here

    Hi Rick,
    I use my s6 for almost a year now and never had a problem, till last Saturday.
    I use my lights with an wireless transmitter and everything works fine, but suddenly during a slow song my light are going crazy, one after the other starts to strobe.
    I looked and see a group laughing. I went to the light nearest by them and turned it off and everything was good again.
    So what happend they took the light and messed with it and put it on strobe, automatically it becomes a master and start interfering with all of my other lights.
    Is there something i can do to prevent this for happening?

    Thanks for the tips! In fact, I just turned my shrouds around.
    Just an FYI, Li Ion batteries don't need oxygen for the chemical reaction to have a "thermal runaway." So having the covers closed on the chargers won't stop the runaway process if it does happen.

    • @pablomiami
      @pablomiami Год назад +1

      Agreed, heat and batteries are a dangerous combo. case sealed will build up heat, and like Kyle said, when those batteries go it won't matter that the case is closed, the reaction will be pretty agressive, look up electric scooter battery failure videos. most of the time the mfg will have a protection circuit that detects heat or current but if they fail, it can be very bad. I wouldn't take a chance considering the mfg specifically stated to charge them open, in the case of a fire you're insurance will not cover you. if you're gonna keep them close, I would suggest cutting a vent (or more than one) holes, put a hard mesh on the holes (maybe a PC fan if you want to get fancy) but at least some sort of way to vent these things.

  • @DJNONSTOPP

    The fact that they talk to each other really screws you, BECAUSE - If you lose signal from your transmitter they try to sync to each other and you literally have to go and turn every single one off before re-launching your transmitter before they’ll reconnect to DMX

    • @DJRickWeb
      @DJRickWeb  Год назад

      No they dont. If you are running dmx and they loose the transmitter they just turn off and wait for another signal. They only talk to each other in master slave mode. As long you dont have any masters they will never do what you said
