What? Gucci guilty elixir not potent? It is a beastmode, i cannot wash it off myself and stays on clothes even after washing. Quentin bisch made such an awesome job with it
What YSL Y did with the double price increase and halving the size of the bottle, with a fragrance that wasn't even an Elixir concentration, was a bit criminal.
La Male Elixir has gotten me so many unsolicited compliments from complete strangers, and it's my wife's absolute favorite scent of all time, so it's a win for everyone! Good list
Great video! I only have Sauvage Elixir and Gucci Pour Elixir. While I love Sauvage Elixir , but I have yet to actually wear it! The scent is so potent, I need to figure out the best time to wear it. On the other hand, Gucci Pour Homme Elixir is potent as well but its intenseness is definitely friendly to wear and smells amazing.
Sauvage Elixir is best for cooler weather (below 50 degrees F, 10 Celsius) and if you're going to be outdoors for most of the day. I personally do two sprays, left and right side of my neck. it is very potent.
I literally just bought Sauvage Elixir from someone, and this video popped up on my phone immediately after. I'm a huge fan of Sauvage Elixir, and I can't wait to get it EDIT: Yeah, I also tried YSL Y'Elixir at Sephora (they're awesome), and it just didn't differentiate itself enough to warrant a purchase from me. The performance was just not enough either
There's a few more Elixirs out there, Thou some where limited editions or from "Hiden Gem" Houses that just getting into the Main Stream in popularity. But you Ranked and Own all the important ones.
The entire concept of elixir is new to me as a movement. I like beastly, sweet, exotic, and gourmand fragrances and now realize I have gotten too many designer fragrances. I wonder what you think of MK's Oud Silk Mood -- is that at all niche? It is strong. From this group, the Hugo Boss Bottled Elixir and Sauvage appeal to me (I have had my nose on the latter and like it). I imagine this is a future trend if these perfumes are concentrated and potent, as that seems to be more popular than colognes or EDTs. 🤔🤔
I was pleasantly surprised by Boss Bottled Elixir and had to get a full bottle. Sauvage Elixir didn’t inspire a full bottle purchase I ended up with the Parfum instead. I need to re-sample the JPG and Gucci elixir.
I don't like Boss Bottled Elixir because it's straight up a clone of Sauvage Elixir. I'll die on this hill lol. They took away the licorice in the beginning and otherwise mostly copied it. It's good, though.
@@Knoxy598 I think you confuse 'Elixir' with 'Extrait' which is Parfum concentration, from here, you are dealing with Attar or pure oil. These are coded in law as far as perfumery is concerned but Elixir is not!... I'm sorry to bother you, I thought you were asking because you sought knowledge and not because you already knew the answer... Keep smelling good!
Sauvage Elixir is the only sauvage I like and own, girls love it. I did not like Gucci Guilty Elixir. I have Le Male Elixir and it's alright 8/10. One Million Elixir is super great, girls love it too.
Boss bottled elixir is great. ATH hard candy elixir too. Le male elixir is good but not dense enough for the name. The Scent Elixir is great. Very crowd-pleasing and punchy. I wish the name Philter would take off for romantic fragrances.
I wish they would stop with their BS and just give us our monies worth from the get go instead of the flankers. I was around purchasing perfumes pre 2000 and the 90s and everything on the market was strong and long lasting. There were no EDTs either. Who ever heard of them before now. It angers me and I see what they are doing. This is why I won't buy designers. They start with a weak watered down version and then go up with intensity but honestly they all are still weak with a hour of performance tops. That's how I see the womens perfumes anyway
I have a feeling Gucci kept thier Elixir a bet more tamed to help keep it close to their DNA road map and so every Fragrance have a chance to shine. Crating a well balance Cologne which last a few extra Hours on the skin without having to do a Mid-Day touch up.

can you imagine a Dior Homme Elixir?! @ThePerfumeGuy 🤩
Bottled Elixir is my favorite fragrance the last weeks
Boss bottled elixir is the best and the most accessible price-wise. I also think that most of these are for cooler weather.
What? Gucci guilty elixir not potent? It is a beastmode, i cannot wash it off myself and stays on clothes even after washing. Quentin bisch made such an awesome job with it
Agree
Agreed 100%, this monster stayed on my bf's skin for almost 48h, after taking two showers lol. The longevity is INSANE.
Same! Lasts on my skin and clothes forever!
Yeah but it smells bad though
@@adrians5875 might be too niche for your taste. If you looking for designer fragrance, this might not be up to your alley
Boss bottled elixir is absolutely top notch
Quite classy of a fragrance! :)
What YSL Y did with the double price increase and halving the size of the bottle, with a fragrance that wasn't even an Elixir concentration, was a bit criminal.
I love the whole Dior Sauvage range.
Have you tried their new body products? The face wash I was surprised how good it was! :)
Dior Homme Elixir!!!! Sounds good....
Le male elixir restored my interest in fragrances. It’s so good. And garners compliments.
Completely agree with Invictus Victory Elixir. So robust and beastly .
La Male Elixir has gotten me so many unsolicited compliments from complete strangers, and it's my wife's absolute favorite scent of all time, so it's a win for everyone! Good list
You were it in cold weather only ? Or in hot too ?

You can only spray it once and rub it on places where you want to smell making the scent more versatile. Thank me later.
Remember to spray it once.
Sauvage Elixir is best for cooler weather (below 50 degrees F, 10 Celsius) and if you're going to be outdoors for most of the day.
I personally do two sprays, left and right side of my neck. it is very potent.
Bottled Triumph elixir is just as good as bottled elixir. I have both and enjoy both equally.
Boss bottled Elixir and jpg Elixir should be in top 4 👏🏾💯 great lists sebs
Appreciate it

I love the boss bottled elixir haven’t tried the rest in the boss line.
Ooh you must try the Absolu it's so good.

Sauvage élixir is king. The quality is unmatched
I wish they took the word "Elixer" more seriously in a thematic sense. So many times, it's a flanker by any other name
Gucci Guilty Elixir last like 3 days on me
That just shows how skin chemistry is so different with fragrances! ;)
Still Rocking Dior Elixir but thinking of getting Boss Bottled Elixir ❤
I want Dior to do a Fahrenheit Elixir!
Oh that would be incredible! I want that too!

Dior Homme elixir, sign me up!
Boss bottled elixir is the best
I'm really surprised we haven't seen a Fahrenheit Elixir yet. 😅
I want that so badly
Sauvage Elixir in my opinions is more potent compared to the other elixirs listed here.
I won’t be surprised to see an bleu the Chanel elixir and JPG Le Beau Elixir
Chanel wouldn't do that.
Gucci Elixir is the best in my opinion.
I don't like Boss Bottled Elixir because it's straight up a clone of Sauvage Elixir. I'll die on this hill lol. They took away the licorice in the beginning and otherwise mostly copied it. It's good, though.
Have you tried out Bad Boy Cobalt Elixir? I enjoyed Bad Boy cobalt, it is a bit invictus-y
Sadly, I’ve been disappointed with Carolina Herrera Fragrances lately, but I might check that out if you think it’s good
Is there a standardised concentration level for what counts as an elixir?
No! 'ELIXIR' is not a fragrance concentration.
Actually it is. 20-40% apparently.
@@Knoxy598 Actually, that's Parfum concentration not Elixir! There are edt's and edp's called Elixir,so, it's just a name not a classification.
Parfum is generally 20-30, Elixir is 20-40. None of these classifications are coded in law though.

Azarro elixir? Older than Sauvage elixir
Oh yes I remember that one. I think it’s discontinued but it came way before any of these did. 😀
Le male elixir & boss bottle elixir.

Don't like anything from Loewe!

Boss bottled elixir gives Sauvage elixir vibes
Dior Sauvage Elixir smelled to me like men's body odour covered with Lynx / Axe 😂
