Sadly one of the best lavender fragrances I have ever encountered is Tom Ford Lavendar Extreme. I don’t understand why it was discontinued but it’s just stunning. Only have a bit left in my bottle and I use it only for special occasions now.
My favorite lavendar is Gris Clair by Serge Lutens, although I do have an older bottle so I’m not sure if it changed. Also love Miller et Bertaux Spiritus land #2. 😊
I consider lavender to be unisex. I grow and harvest my own lavender and leave it in antique baskets around my house as well as make a blackberry lavender cake (I use it to turn into a simple syrup so it doesn’t taste “soapy”). I adore all things lavender especially the aroma
Naxos is always lauded for its tobacco but im glad you’re highlighting the lavendar because its what i really get from naxos the most! And i just love ittttt
Thanks for a great video! I love Chanel Jersey - no one ever talks about it! I’ve been using L’occitane Lavendre edt for years. Lavender is one of my favourite notes!
I wish Creed would bring back Aberdeen Lavendar. The combo of lavendar and lemon was amazing. Molinard Lavande is a great scent though, nice to spritz on a pillow before bed
Lavender is completely unisex in its true form. What an amazing scent. I tend to wear masculine fragrances since the idea of gendered fragrances is absurdly outdated. I favor the notes in "masculine" fragrances over traditional "feminine" fragrances, and maybe I'm biased, but i think they're blended better.
I keep preaching about a recent discovery for me….. from Xerjoff. Beautiful barbershop lavender vibe. Casamorati Mefisto Gentiluomo, I think it’s astonishingly good.
Rehab is still my all time favorite fragrance out of thousands I’ve smelled. Diadem from Thameen is very similar and a great alternative with added frankincense note, which ironically you can achieve a similar result by layering Initio’s Magnetic blend 7 & Rehab.
I’d add Hermes Brin de Reglisse and Ormaie Le Passant to this great rundown. I tried Le Passant at the ZGO event and had to get 100 ml bottle. If you drink soda, a brand called Dry makes a lavender soda which is fantastic.
Beau de jour is really a nice barbershop scent. It’s got an interesting modern but classic smell. Unlike replica at the barbers, that just smells like cheap edge shaving gel foam.
I am a huge fan of Lavender and this is why Layton is my number 1 fragrance ever, but I think you missed AdP SANDALO (edp) which is really a lavender bomb...problem is lavender is used so much in home-cleaners that it ruined the experiance in fragrances...
i fall in love with lavander after the trip to Provence. So its definitely femine for me and its about warm sunsets, lavander coffee and ice cream, little fresh as Verdon and i am trying to find such parfume. I bought there one consist only of lavender oil and it was great) for now i found neo cologne lavender mist and floraiku flowers turn purple
I wish I could see at least on one lavender list at least a faint mention of Antiheros by ELDO. Yes, it’s by far the most known and popular from the house, yes, it’s been discontinued since forever but to me at least, it is probably the best lavender centred fragrance out there. Who knows, knows.
My favorite lavender fragrances are Lorenzo Villoresi Wild Lavender and the discontinued Lavandula from Penhaligon. They are true realistic lavender scents. Like a lavender oil almost. I also want to try the lavender scent from Santa Maria Novella in Florence.
The same is with rose, many guys think that rose is feminine likewise lavender is on the same boat but in my opinion both can b blended in to such a beautiful masculine fragrance spruce them with great oriental fragrances n see what an exquisite aroma is derived
To me, lavender is the scent of old men. Lavender (and rosemary) are part of a lot of old school European aftershaves and colognes (think of 4711 Cologne). And when I was young, a lot of older men put that on as an aftershave. But also a lot of women have put that on some towels in the summer to refresh themselves 😂
I really love your videos Sebastian ive been keeping notes on some of the greatest you've mentioned and I'll buy them when i can afford it i just enjoy you talking about fragrances. Thank u for your videos 😊
I have a lot of lavender growing in my garden. It's great for attracting pollinators and Monarch butterflies like to rest amid the leaves. I think we all have had lavender tea. I think it can be either masc or fem. I like it tempered with vanilla. That said, I don't care about male/female-targeted fragrances. I will wear anything I like, based on how it smells on me. Thanks for this list. I will put some of these on my list, especially the fougere versions.😊
Pegasus belongs on this list. One of my favs. Maison Margiela Replica stuff I no longer like.... Realized quality isn't good and they all just EDT's. Beau de Jour is right up there are prob the best barbershop, Zino if u want a cheap drugstore price version. And lastly, I'd say Naughton & Wilson Gravitas belongs here too.
Lavender is my favorite note, the Fougere is my favorite genre, and I think that lavender is the one masculine floral note. I don't like the lavender in Naxos. It's amped up and is obnoxious with the uber-sweet and strong honey. But some of my favorite lavender: Serge Lutens Gris Clair Creed Bois du Portugal Tom Ford Beau de Jour Houbigant Fougere Royale Yardley's English Lavender Amouage Bracken Man Czech & Speake Traditional Lavender Atkinson's Lavender on the Rocks Floris Elite MDCI Invasion Barbare YSL Rive Gauche Pour Homme Chanel Boy
It’s quite interesting how varied the same note can be. Le Male Elixir and Naxos were both scrubbers for me, but I love the likes of Layton, LNdH, Argos’s Fall of Phaeton and Penhaligon’s Endymion.
PMs Lavande Romaine works beautifully on my skin. I also would mention Scotch Lavander from Oriza L. Legrand. It is a very authentic take on Lavander with Tonka, Amber and Benzoin in the Base (by far my favourite).
I love this, lavender is one of my favorite smells. I find it to be mostly masculine. Homme de Caron is great and I can't wait to try the parfum version. Also, Frank Los Angeles No. 2 is a wonderful fragrance. You don't hear about that brand much anymore. They had three fragrances, and then one was discontinued. No. 2 is gorgeous. Also, Amouage Sunshine Man is so beautiful. I think they discontinued it, so I'm conserving what I have. Any suggestions for something similar?
Thank you Sebastian for the great video....Lavender is one of my most favs That and Patchouli 😂😂😂 I used to spray Lavande de L'Occitane like there's no end But since they have stopped bringing to the US Ive been more conservative about it I love Santal 33, by Le Labo and would love Lavender 31....but yeah....if its too weak, its very disappointing I think based in the description of notes, I might enjoy Absynthe Best regards!
Luna Rossa Ocean, Guerlain Mon Guerlain, Burberry Goddess, Initio Paragon and Bond No.9 New Haarlem are all worth mentioning in this for great lavender prominent scents.
I'm still missing a good portion of those amazing lavender scents, haven't sniffed them yet, but I really enjoy Platinum Egoiste from Chanel, which is also a fragrance where the lavender has a good spotlight.
I love lavender, it's my favorite herb. I love it in tea, pastries, and ice cream. Oddly enough, though, I don't have that many lavender-focused fragrances. I really want to try Molinard Lavande. That Maison Cravelli Absinthe Boreale sounds really interesting too. I love icy and metallic scents in the summer.
Sartorial is a masterpiece and my favorite lavender scent! In regards to Lavande 31, I noticed that it's veeeery similar to Jo Malone's Silver Birch & Lavender. The Matcha also reminds me of Jo Malone's Fig & Lotus Flower. These two recent releases have me wondering if Le Labo is just making slightly more sophisticated versions of Jo Malone scents now.
Excellent Video! Quite the eye opener. If you would ask me if I loved lavender, I would say I like it. I own 80% of these fragrances. I guess I love lavender!😂 Cheers! 🎉🎉🎉🎉😊
Hi Sebastian. I love Jersey, very cozy and comforting lavender. Music for a while is a weird one in combo with the pineapple, but I like it And the craziest lavender has to be MEM, what a beast!
I believe that eau noire (Dior) and masculin pluriel (mfk) deserve a spot in this top ten list. Both were created by Francis Kurkdjian. Guess he really knows his fougere!
I've started to realise that lavander is a lovely of mine, it kind of snook up on me, iris is my first love but I've been realising that I love lavander too, Alexandria II from xerjoff is a really different take on it I call it "dirty lavender" with the palisandre rosewood and the oud but lavander is definitely a main player and I just love it
I understand that every lavender fragrance can’t be featured in this video but I’m quite surprised that Rabanne’s Phantom did not make it to this list. It’s a very prominent lavender in the top, mid and base note.
Frankly agreat efforts goes in to making a video then ensuring the cintents are correct and no copyrights have been encroached in too and after that broadcasting the same we the viewers should seriously like and share these videos as they are not only informative but they r very educative especially to those who would like to start understanding the basics of the fragrant industry, from the bottom of my heart i thank you personally Sebastian for all the hard work u have invested in this God bless you
SUCH a funny coincidence. I'm sitting here watching your video, ruminating over what I really think of lavender and whether I really like it or not--is it "floral" in a sweet way or am I put off by a kind of semi-medicinal soapiness? And how do I really feel about its suggestion of femininity? And even as I was watching and pondering, I was sniffing today's fragrance on my arm, one I love and just can't stop sniffing. And then... no-o-o, can't be.... It IS. What I'm sniffing right now is simply screaming "Lavender"! And, yeah, turns out I love it! I just didn't realize THIS was THAT. It's Bentley's Momentum Unbreakable. And this is a fragrance that's never said anything to me but "Masculine!" Well ain't that a kick in the head. So funny.

Sadly one of the best lavender fragrances I have ever encountered is Tom Ford Lavendar Extreme. I don’t understand why it was discontinued but it’s just stunning. Only have a bit left in my bottle and I use it only for special occasions now.
I see lavender, I click like
How much more proof do you need.? I can't believe the number of folks still staying with Drake. The delusional is real.
Omg me toi. I clicked like even before the video started playing.
My favorite lavendar is Gris Clair by Serge Lutens, although I do have an older bottle so I’m not sure if it changed. Also love Miller et Bertaux Spiritus land #2. 😊

Yes, please do an overview of Molton Brown. I have some knowledge on them but not a lot.
Thanks for a great video! I love Chanel Jersey - no one ever talks about it! I’ve been using L’occitane Lavendre edt for years. Lavender is one of my favourite notes!

Oh wow Sebastian thank you so much for this❤❤❤ have a wonderful weekend❤
L'Occitane Eau de Toilette is a great, natural smelling lavender frag that to me is very underrated, and inexpensive too!
Sebastian! You have forgotten the most amazing Lavender: Tom Daxon's Midnight Saffron! 💜
surprised you didnt mention Prada Luna Rossa Carbon.... the ;lavendar is that is incredible.
Glad someone mentioned that, that lavender is amazing
Good ol’ L’Occitan for me! Fresh, crisp, clean.
I keep preaching about a recent discovery for me….. from Xerjoff.
Beautiful barbershop lavender vibe.
Casamorati Mefisto Gentiluomo, I think it’s astonishingly good.
Yes please a video on Molton Brown, indeed underrated. Thanks for this great video.
Sure thing! Will do. 😀
@@ThePerfumeGuy Great, thank you. 🙏🏾
Rehab is still my all time favorite fragrance out of thousands I’ve smelled. Diadem from Thameen is very similar and a great alternative with added frankincense note, which ironically you can achieve a similar result by layering Initio’s Magnetic blend 7 & Rehab.
Mancera Black Gold lavender and incense this is a amazing definitely signature scent worthy I love this fragrance
I’d add Hermes Brin de Reglisse and Ormaie Le Passant to this great rundown. I tried Le Passant at the ZGO event and had to get 100 ml bottle. If you drink soda, a brand called Dry makes a lavender soda which is fantastic.
Brin de Reglisse is a favorite of mine, so good
I have TF Beau de Jour and I like it. To me it's an old school barber shop fragrance that I enjoy as an office scent.
I love Layton and Naxos on a man😀!
Lavender is one of my favorite note for sure! 👍👍👍Nice video
I love Invasion Barbare by MDCI, incredible to my nose with the lavender.
Rimbaud is one of most realistic and most besutiful Lavender. At first it smells pure essence oil lavender but it will leave u a beautiful scent.
Beau de jour is really a nice barbershop scent. It’s got an interesting modern but classic smell. Unlike replica at the barbers, that just smells like cheap edge shaving gel foam.
CHILL! At the barbers fire too!!!
@ThePerfumeGuy Definetly Nishane B612
Sad no Platinum Egoiste
All great suggestions. I have and use some of these. I would add YSL Libre line and MYSLF, Mom Guerlain line, 4711.
Royal Scottish Lavender Creed too bad it was discontinued.😔
Have you reviewed Byredo 1996 Inez & Vinoodh? Thanks
Not a lavender fragrance, just asking if you have.
I am a huge fan of Lavender and this is why Layton is my number 1 fragrance ever, but I think you missed AdP SANDALO (edp) which is really a lavender bomb...problem is lavender is used so much in home-cleaners that it ruined the experiance in fragrances...

There is a French herb blend called Herbs De Provence with Lavender. I’ve made several savory dishes with it (usually chicken) and it is delicious!
Just got Lavande 31. Truly hope my batch performs like a beast!
I'm still nursing my bottle of Antiheros from ELDO. My favorite lavender centric frag.
I am generally not a fan of lavender forward perfumes, but I adore YSL Libre.
Percival!?
Yes I agree it has lavender .
The same is with rose, many guys think that rose is feminine likewise lavender is on the same boat but in my opinion both can b blended in to such a beautiful masculine fragrance spruce them with great oriental fragrances n see what an exquisite aroma is derived
Weirdly for me (a man) rose is more wearable than lavender. I do like the modern takes of lavender though (rimbaud)
I have a lot of masculine fragrances with rose. Lyric Man, Porpora, Zino, Spice Must Flow, Rose Malaki. Mmmm.
Purple suede is my top one
Caron Pour un Homme is ruined, the new formulation smells like some artificial candy and even like it's turned
Thanks Sebastian. Could you please review Nissaba Provence? Would love to know your opinion about it.
Noted! I do enjoy it btw. Smelled it several times.
I'm surprised A2 wasn't mentioned. All I can smell is lavender, when I wear it.
I really love your videos Sebastian ive been keeping notes on some of the greatest you've mentioned and I'll buy them when i can afford it i just enjoy you talking about fragrances. Thank u for your videos 😊
"Le Labo under Estee Lauder" this doesnt end well unfortunately :-(
Jo Malone London Silver Birch and Lavender is one of my favorites!
I think lavender is unisex and I love it. Dior Homme and Initio Rehab
Lavender and lilac are wonderful. Any advice on black licorice/anise colognes as well?
I love also the lavender in Music for a while Frederic Malle ❤
Beau de jour is absolutely perfect love it
sooo good
I only have Jersey from this list, the edt, and i love it so much.
The lavender in Sauvage Elixir is the real deal. Soooo good.
I have a lot of lavender growing in my garden. It's great for attracting pollinators and Monarch butterflies like to rest amid the leaves. I think we all have had lavender tea. that's odd, Rehab to me reminds much more Spicebomb extreme
Could you imagine doing a lavander video without Caron?

I love Perris Monte Carlo and hate Lavande Romaine!
Lavender is my favorite note, the Fougere is my favorite genre, and I think that lavender is the one masculine floral note.
I don't like the lavender in Naxos. It's amped up and is obnoxious with the uber-sweet and strong honey.
But some of my favorite lavender:
Serge Lutens Gris Clair
Creed Bois du Portugal
Tom Ford Beau de Jour
Houbigant Fougere Royale
Yardley's English Lavender
Amouage Bracken Man
Czech & Speake Traditional Lavender
Atkinson's Lavender on the Rocks
Floris Elite
MDCI Invasion Barbare
YSL Rive Gauche Pour Homme
Chanel Boy

Absolutely agree with the similarities between Celine Rimbaud and Caron PUH. Love the fragrance, but find it redundant.
Hi Sebastian, I also like Oxford & Cambridge EDP by Czech & Speake
Thanks I love lavender. Caron, tf BdJ, & Molinard. Will you consider making a new / updated “versatile” video? Loved the one you made 4 years ago!
1725 Histoires de Parfums is pretty nice too
I have Lavande 31. Great neroli-bergamot fragrance. Comes alive in very hot weather. I find longevity & projection to be decent for a summer frag.
Ooo can u do another coffee videoooo , barista here lol
Luna Rossa Ocean, Guerlain Mon Guerlain, Burberry Goddess, Initio Paragon and Bond No.9 New Haarlem are all worth mentioning in this for great lavender prominent scents.

ORMAIE - Le Passant 💚💜💜💚
Hi Sebastian. I love Jersey, very cozy and comforting lavender.
Music for a while is a weird one in combo with the pineapple, but I like it
And the craziest lavender has to be MEM, what a beast!
Molton Brown overview, please!
Have you heard any rumors about Beau de Jour? My TF counter person at Nordstrom says it’s being discontinued.
Love lavender, it smells so great to me. And i love barber shop scents. My favorite category.
I believe that eau noire (Dior) and masculin pluriel (mfk) deserve a spot in this top ten list. Both were created by Francis Kurkdjian. Guess he really knows his fougere!
Eau Noire is discontinued.
@@ThePerfumeGuy No it's not. It actually had a remake since Kurkdjian became the in-house perfumer for Dior.
Great review. But how come no mention of MFK Masculine Pluriel? One of the best if not the best lavender out there.
I've started to realise that lavander is a lovely of mine, it kind of snook up on me, iris is my first love but I've been realising that I love lavander too, Alexandria II from xerjoff is a really different take on it I call it "dirty lavender" with the palisandre rosewood and the oud but lavander is definitely a main player and I just love it
Jacqueline by Gritti is a gorgeous representation of lavender with an almond-y lactonic dry down.
I understand that every lavender fragrance can’t be featured in this video but I’m quite surprised that Rabanne’s Phantom did not make it to this list. It’s a very prominent lavender in the top, mid and base note.
Sir chanel boy
Pdm Percival
Yes and yes. 😀
I love lavender! I was trying to get some herbal lavender fragrances (not fougers) and this list will help!
Whenever I see Rochas man, I am reminded of Tim. Pretty good stuff 👍
Mon Guerlain is my holy grail lavender fragrance 💜💜💜
I got to try it!! It’s been a while!! 😀
I love Le Labo and a bunch of their offerings but some are indeed light like Creed and Jo Malone fragrances.
Women also wear JPG Le Male
Okay im requesting an ultimate guide to cardamon fragrances!!! Please
B612, fougere d’argent, Zaharoff signature are also great options
Great video. Was hoping to also see one of my favorites - Frederic Malle Music for a While.

I looked it up on Fragrantica to make sure it was lavender and, sure enough....
Rania J Lavander 44 es la mía ❤. Gracias Sebastián 😘
