That place really has it goin on with those large "real estate" rocks. The eastern Axialfest is more of a trail truck stomping ground. Much more of a comp crawler feel to the "fest in the west". Great video, man. I can't wait to watch it on the u-tube.
We are lucky to have these rocks. Even in socal by the beach while you think it would be awesome views weather etc. There is almost no rock and only sandstone. In San Diego there are surprisingly few slabs to crawl which think is the best. Let's you do crazy lines. Our spot is called "del Cerro"
Hi Josh , great watching ! A couple weeks ago I watched your live prep (later on ) and your weekend at the Nationals , that was just Excellent watching your trip !! .. 👍 ✌
I run a 1.9 wraith as my backup rig. It is stock except wheels, tires, links, and steering servo. It always works and has yet to let me down. Oh yeah I forgot I have your chassis reinforcement/turbo mounts lol. I have dubbed mine the "Turd". Because you know $h1t gets everywhere.
Looks great, have you had any issues with the front bumper on any of yours. I snapped mine off twice before I just said "screw it" and ran with out one.
On the first one I had before they adjusted the frame rails, I made some braces, I may install those again in a modified fashion to work with the adjusted frame rails also.
I broke mine and reinforced it with a piece of brass until i finally got the new beefed up rails and reefs bumper brace. Now i have no worries about it breaking again.
Hey Josh question, what would be the maximum overdrive you would use on a crawler on average? It seems people keep climbing up the overdrive ratio specs, like its not uncommon to hear 30-35% difference. How far will it go?
Depends on the use of the truck, the weight, the power system, etc. 20% range is fine for normal trailing with most quality power systems. 30% you want to monitor temps, especially if adding weight, and any more than that is pretty much best for comp only type use unless the truck is light weight.
And that wraith is awesome!!!
I’m working on upgrading my wraith 1.9, I have a Holmes revolver 1800kv and a momba x going in this week.

I feel like there are some good rocks here, just not big enough for Axialfest to be based off of
The actual location of Axialfest has some of the best terrain, more large slabs for awesome crawling.

The wraith is looking good! I actually crawl at Rainbow quite a bit. Pretty easy to get to which is right off 80 and has awesome spots to crawl.
Must admit those 1.9 trenchers looks great, might try them on my capra but pretty happy with my RC4WD Baja MTZ 4.6" so far
Damn!!!! What a sweet spot you get to camp at!!! So are you going to walk the 5k!?!?
Looks like a great setup, why no Hurtz dig on it tho?
I was just throwing it together as a backup type rig, my Ripper will be my main ride.
Surprised you didn’t give it that fastback look like you did with your original poison spider wraith
That’s coming, I just didn’t have time yet. It’ll get done this week.
What's the update on 50k truck giveaway? It's been how long, a year?
Still waiting on the body to come from the painter.
What would guys recommend for like Baja style without going to paddle/scoop tires
i so want to upgrade my own wraith now xD
For your sum it, it would be easier to say you kept the chassis rails, roll cage and panels. 😂
I kind of did, I said I stripped to the chassis 😁
That wraith is 🔥
9:28 - YEET!!!!!
Dude what’s up with the trx4000? Are you trying to be a brasshole? See what I did there???
ho josh someday VP will have more rockjock on stock?
They’ve been going up regularly, just have to catch them when they are in stock. More were done today already.
Is that Tahoe area? It looks like it on the way over Nevada in route to Tahoe.
Is west of Donner by about 10 mins.

@@HarleyDesignsInc Perfect thanks man appreciate the response. Keep up the great vids
Nice...! 👍
💯💪🏾
Nice I krawl about 6500 to 7000 everyday ✊🏽👊🏽
Its axial fest, not vanquish fest.. only axial parts still on your rig are the frame rails and body cage.. thats really pushing it..
As long as the upgrades are based on Axial vehicles then that’s the rules.
We made Badlands and wanted to do SC but work first i guess. Booo
Lol. Cromoly outputs.
As is the top shaft, spools, front universals and rear axle shafts.
no one know what your talking about!!
