I impulse bought a 65" TCL 6 series for $400ish at Best Buy right before covid hit. I'm so glad I made that purchase, because TV prices went crazy after that. And it's still going fine thousands of hours later.
I bought a $250 75” tv for my patio about 3 years ago, still solid and great picture quality (4k QLED), but I would never buy that one for my home theater setup, can’t compare with a 75” OLED 4k TV. But still, those cheaper TV’s are great.
@@daveclark8337 I think that is the exact TV I replaced and will be going into my bedroom. I got it early 2019 for $800 though. $400 would’ve been a steal. Workhorse TV for sure.
I bought a Hisense 55” TV in 2019 Black Friday for $250 (the cheapest at that time for 55”) and it still works. Picture quality not bad either for a basic LCD TV. With all that said, I did just upgrade to a Bravia 7…and I’m wondering if that was necessary. Oh well, it is a nice TV.
Excellent TV and fantastic for gaming at 4k 144hz. The game mode on it is crazy good plus all the streaming apps for gaming make it the perfect TV for a gamer.
I’m glad I got my 65” 4K TCL for $300 in 2017. It was a great gateway into the world of 4K and it ignited my hobby of collecting movies. However the HDR was absolutely terrible and it got a dead spot near the top. So I upgraded to an LG C3 last year and love it. But I’ll always have a soft spot for that Black Friday special TCL
Its also taking off your enthusiast hat off a second. Two years back, i bought a tcl 5 series 55" for 180$ at best buy. 100% full screen sdr brightness nits is 530. The lg g4 is 317 according to rtings. Im not talking about stupid overbloated 1% peaks. Full screen sdr, the number that SHOULD matter to people. Yes its local dimming wont be nearly oled good. But when were talking saving THAT much money, and actually beating out more expensive models in ways? Thats a win win.
The deals that you should skip are the off brands that you typically see a 75" 4K LED TV at around $500CAD. I remember a few Black Fridays ago Walmart stores in my area had a TV for that price. I wasn't able to get shopping on the Friday and went shopping the next day and there was literally 4-5 different people walking into Walmart either to get their money back or get an exchange that very TV.
4:30 Thanks brother, I am going to use this language with my customers tomorrow! Door busters arr meant to get folks in the door, it's my job to show them additional options that can improve their TV experience and help the ROI make sense for their needs. The incentive for me is to increase conversion rates and ASP. I love helping folks get the technology they will enjoy for years to come.
It is not like it was 10 years ago. Cheap TV's on black Friday, it just as cheap as there are on any other day. For the most part, the are good enough for most people. A TCL is is $300 now, and $200 on black Friday, is all the same. It will not be a worser TV just because it is on sale.
Im getting the 55" QM7 tomorrow. Sending back the LG C4 OLED. (I know it sounds ridiculous.) But, for my use case Mini LED will be better than OLED and Not having to worry about Burn In at all is a big plus since I run my TV as a Secondary Monitor that I keep on most of the time. Plus I can take the money I save and Put it towards something else like upgrading my PC.
I got a 55" "Technicolor" big screen 10yrs ago at a Shoppers Drugmart "Black Friday" sale for $400 Cdn. It's a dumb tv and it has served me well for 10yrs. I like playing pc games on it. I will probably keep it as my main tv until it dies. (I REALLY like that it is dumb.)
As somebody working in the space the thing I think we need to talk about is consumer denial. Yesterday I had people asking me what the deals were going to be on Friday when I’ve been telling people all month the deals have been here. The cheap ain’t good and the good is already $500+ off.
To me, the marketing people play the normal yearly pricing cycle and have you believe that certain days are special. The graph (for the people who know where to find it), looks the same every year. Prices fall steadily until the new model comes out.
@ bingo. LG C series will be $1500 at 65” week 2 of October through December week 1 and they’ll return Jan week 2. It’s consistent. Every year. Buy or die I tell them. It’ll never go below that.
When I use to be out in the Black Friday lines I used to chuckle when I saw the people running to the $400 75in tvs. They couldn't help themselves...."look at the screen size for that price". Hilarious.
in 2003 I spent $3600 on a 40in LG Plasma, 20 years later 10% of that ($320) could get me a decent 55inch. If you've been in this hobby for awhile its amazing the quality you get today for what you pay
Why buy during black friday if prices are going to drop constantly? Wait two months and in January prices will beat those from black friday. Any other opinions on that? (I am in Europe)
Pretty much the Black Friday deal tvs that are sold at a specific time are the ones to avoid been told they are left over cheap parts from different tvs thrown together for Black Friday deals.. the ones you want are the normal good tvs that are on sale all week/ month
@84jdgregory Yes and no. I have every intention of keeping this phone for at least five years. And it's not that the performance won't be good enough after that. It just probably won't get anymore security/software updates at that point. I paid a lot for a (at the top) very high quality laptop 11 years ago. It still works perfectly fine today. A bargain bin laptop from the same period would almost certainly not. Regardless of that, stuff like this, in my opinion is like the toy you get in a kid's fast food meal. Fine for the moment, but quickly forgotten about or replaced as soon as you can get anything better.
@ so for most people. Like 99.9% of people…a phone is more wasteful than a TV. I don’t know anybody upgrading TV’s every few years. And when I upgrade because of a jump in quality, I typically just sell my old one for super cheap so it gets more use. Everything eventually breaks. TV’s are usually good for 5+ years.
@@84jdgregory It's like your purposefully not listening to my argument, or have misconstrued it. Of course phones become e-waste and more often than other devices. It's world's different for countless reasons, than a TV. Which is what this discussion was about. The displays that were being talked about in part of this video for an unbelievable sales price, are what I would consider below entry level. I've worked retail. We'd RMA a ton of these. I've seen the exact same part number units have different back lights even, giving wildly different color temperatures. I guess I'm just being elitist or something though.
Sam's Club had a TCL 75" S571G for $378. I picked one up to replace a Samsung 55" from 2019. So far, I'm happy with it. It's not amazing but it's better than a 55" sitting almost 12 feet away.
I just watched this video. It was informative, but I have some points. The image on my screen is NO BETTER THAN my Flat screen values. You mentioned the processor and refresh rate. I would think that the faster is better. What is an acceptable refresh rate? I have never thought of the processor, but it is an important total operation. What is a Good, Better, and BEST processor for the current TVs group?
Best Buy is full refunding my S90C that I bought in October 2023 cause of Screen issues and Burn in (Had burn in since November of last year). Should I go for the S90D or go back to Mini Led? Mostly for gaming and RUclips. I'm hesitant cause Samsung hasn't figured out how to prevent Burn in.
If you can get the LG G4. Comes with 5 year warranty for free. The S90C is VERY similar to the S90D. The only difference is that the S90D has slightly better upscaling for low content, slightly brighter screen, and the matte screen finish.
Black friday was the biggest sale in terms of discounts. Then it became black week and now we have black month followed by cybermonday, the sale after the sale before the new year clearance. After that there will be more sales!
I just bought a 77" B4 OLED to replace my 65" Samsung Q80T for 2.000 EUR (MSRP 2700 EUR). Here in Greece believe me it's a very good deal. I LOVE it! (maybe the lg magic remote not so much). I want to thank you Caleb for your precious advice and your excellent work on showing us the way all these years! The last part of this video is 1000% accurate, you 're a legend!
@@coryglueckert1665 How many years ago was that? Philips, Sharp, and many others used to be good brands. That has not been the case for several years. Digital Trends are now talking about TVs in 2024, 2023, and maybe a few last good models in 2022 (if they are left). As well as what is coming in in 2025 Not about older models and brands years ago.
We are not saying that all cheap TVs will not last. Just that many cheap TV models tend (not always, but tend) to fail faster than MId to High End TVs. Also, I bet that I am seeing this video with much better quality image with my High End TV, than that Sharp cheap TV. Which is also an important point. Quality of image or lack of. Yet, if that works for you. Then that is cool. As long as you know what you getting into and happy with it. Which is his main point.
@@MuahMan I just pulled the trigger on a 85 inch and ill tell you what. Once it gets here on 3 days ill make a review since apparently no human being has ever shown this tv or reviewed next to other sized models. All I could find wasn't helpful and I needed to know how much having less dimming zones would affect quality compared to 65" and 75" with its ads pro panel.
Even though I fully understand about getting bargain prices for TVs, I am a die-hard Sony guy. I will look for the best prices on those TVs. Not saying that the other brands are bad, it's just my preference.
Technology over brand, imo. Like, my search would be limited to OLED only. Then, depending on where the TV is going, I would narrow my search even more to Sony.
It is a Full Array Backlight (meaning not an edge lit). Does have VRR support. Still. No Local dimming. Which also means no Full Array Local Dimming either. 4K 60Hz (meaning not 4K 120Hz). Has around 300-nit peak brightness Not so bright for a bright room like sunlit room. Not a QLED aka Mini LED. Decent quality for the price. Still with a little more money you can get a much better experience with a QLED aka Mini LED with Full Array Local Dimming, higher peak brightness, and 4K 120Hz.
@@Aaron-ox8ye It is not bad as what it is. In fact I was going to recommend the 43" version to Cosmin Vilcu. Since this model does have array of back lights, VVR aka Variable Refresh Rate, and some other decent features. Since they said they could not afford more than $200. We just need to know what we are getting into with x model that we are getting. Just not at the level that is acceptable for Digital Trends recommendations. Still, a decent TV for that price range. In fact, I would say that is a good call for that price range.
The best deal on a quality TV, if you can still get it,it’s sold out in my area(Atlanta), at Costco you can get the Panasonic 65 inch mini led TV for $799 with a 5 year warranty
Oscar Award goes to ***drum rolls*** Caleb Denison! The last segment is truly b/s at its finest in a very very good way... you're truly a gem! thank you!
I picked up the 55 inch Sansui Oled from microcenter for $760 with the 3 year extended warranty that covers screen damage and burn in. Running the Goggle 4k streamer and my Samsung Q symphony soundbar. It is probably the perfect combo for so cheap. Oled quality is so good, it beats out my Samsung Q80r I bought back in 2019 and I love that tv. Definitely a tv to consider with that warranty protection and the feature set it has. People say that 500 nitts HDR is not that bright but in a dark and light controlled room like my bedroom, it was so bright it started hurting my eyes.
i'm glad my significant other trusts me when I want to purchase certain tech things. Thanks to you and other reviewers I did go for the tv I wanted and got a decent november deal. Thanks again for answering my question back in june or something :)
Big thanks! I spent the past couple of months looking at your videos. Ended up going for a 65in S90D, and managed to get a decent discount on it. See in 5/6 years for the next one 😜
I've watched the LG C2....THE C3 & C4 go on Sale. What about the C2 hardly ever goes on clearance. (55) & other sizes. Then most stores put the 2023 Samsung S90C (65) on clearance...$999.99 basically less expensive than comparable 55 models across the premium models. Why? And Why haven't you or others even Brought it up to folks attention ⚠️? Most are now gone, or off Clearance. 😊 I impulsed one.
Some less expensive TVs can be OK. I'm using a TCL 50" S525 I bought from Amazon for $350 more than 5 years ago. It's still good enough that I can't justify replacing it.
Relax 🤣🤣 Caleb, the writing on this was hilarious , you absolutely kill it. Appreciate you my man. I was playing video games on Thanksgiving on my LG C3 and my wife said...wow that looks great and I said "Thank Caleb :)" It's the first TV where I have regularly just stopped to just watch enjoy the picture. It's beautiful. Thanks for helping us find the right one!
I’m in the market for a gaming TV (XSX/PS5) and i’m eyeing both TCL QM7 or Hisense U7N… been waiting basically all year for this moment but I still can’t decide whether to buy one or wait.
ABSOLUTELY U7N. I have seen it SO many times in person in store since I live 4 min walk from bestbuy that I have seen all sorts of tvs. U7N 65” Looks like $1800 TV. Its So strange they make it so elegant. Contrast: SONY X93L --73000:1 (High gloss type of semi gloss) 😊 SONY X90L--42000:1 (Matted screen, fine grain starch visual ) Bravia7----100000:1 (MATTED crusty screen) 😮so will Still look Worse than U7N. N its Pestle. U7N ----- 89000:1( Upgraded using 2023 U8K flagship HIGH Gloss type of semi Gloss) Qm7------67000:1 (Matted screen )
The Hisense U7N and TCL QM7/QM751G QLED are closely matched, with the Hisense U7N having a very slight edge overall. The Hisense has better contrast with local dimming enabled, but the TCL has better blooming and lighting zone transition performance. The TCL is also a bit brighter in HDR, but the Hisense is much more accurate in HDR and SDR. The Hisense also has much better reflection handling, making it the far better choice when watching content in bright rooms, with the two TVs being more or less evenly matched in darker rooms.
Unless if I am mistaken, i didn't see your channel's review of the Sony Bravia 8. I already have 2 Sony Oled Master Series from 2019 and 2022. Is this TV worth it to buy as it is on sale right now?
Aside from your always excellent reviews this was one of the best "FYI" videos you've made. Thank you. I never impulse buy a tv, and this is why I still have the last Panasonic model plasma tv. I recently bought an LG43" 4k for $250.00 at BB for the bedroom because my wife is a political junkie (while I could care less about watching ad nauseam) and she was using the plasma tv almost 12+ hours a day. Did my research for about a full week and pulled the plug on the LG. The first time I watched it was a 4K college game and I think I just stared at the pic for 10 minutes. However, I would not have purchased it for my HT system but it is just fine for the bedroom. So thanks again for another timely video.
🎉absolutely! I have seen U7N in BESTBUY beside X90L , Bravia7. U7N look better than both ! 😊 I thought 💭 I was biased , so I brought family member to see it . They were even MORE wow 🎉by it than me ! Wanted 1 right there 😂
FYI …. SHARP TV used to produce 2010-late 2011 GLOBAL LED 🎉. Anyone has “ my $4000 SONY . LG …LED from 2010, 2011 “ they r saying they have Sharp TV . But they don’t know that . Hisense Bought Sharp in 2015 , Toshiba in 2018. They r d modern BEST LEDs ! 🎉 If any one ☝🏼 hear u Rave about yr U7N n mocking u . lol they mistake your U7N as 15 lb light weight plastic Hisense Roku tv 📺. Like the Apple headphones there $20 we always mock them how crappy they r ! They do not reflect the high quality Apple 🍎 Air bud pro2.
Question. If i use a Nvidia shield as my streaming device, does it matter if the tv processor is slow? I use all the apps on the shiled, sonit sjoildnt matter if i biy a LG B3 over a C4.
Was debating if a $219 Hisense QD6 55" was worth it at Costco. But seeing your and others' steller reviews of the Hisense U7N for its usual price, I saw it was on sale for $477, which is practically stealing. Got the U7N instead. First new TV in 7 years.
U7N is D UTTER BEST EVEr tv for ANY price. U will be WOW 😮 by it . U7N has--2023 U8K Screen ( exact screen). NO smudge, NO matted weird tint, no Weird SONY SAmsung TCL rainbow 🌈 smear. U will LOVE that Tv.
the brand of TV will determine if it's a real deal .... there are certain brands that make low quality TVs and should be avoided (RCA and ONN have a bad rep for poor quality) but if you can find a Samsung or LG at a good price then buy it ..
I'm eyeing the 75" Hisense U7H as a bang for my buck TV. I was also looking at the Sony Bravia 7, but the extra $$ doesn't seem like it's worth it besides it being a Sony. I've been looking at so many TV's, I'm cross-eyed now.
I would def pull the trigger on the Hisense...I had the u7h for 2 years and I was going for the u7n 2 weeks ago but they sold out so I got the u8n and it's the best tv I've ever owned and maybe ever seen... The u7n is really the best deal and bang for your buck TV
The sony is definitely better. It's just better built and refined. Easier to live with Just expect more bugs or weird issues like soundbar randomly disconnecting or screen flickering with the hisense. But other than that the price can't be beat for the hardware you get
i just ordered a u7n, are you saying the blacks are not very dark and look gray instead of black? i hope not because i will be watching mostly streamed content in a low light room
Hey, I’ve been planning to buy a 55'' OLED TV for my bedroom, as I’m a big movie fan and will use it for watching movies and series about 70% of the time. After doing some research, I’m torn between the LG C4 and the Sony A80L. Where I live they are at similar price, please help me decide! Buying this black friday
In a bedroom, I go with the Sony because it’s smoother and not as bright, actually a perfect room for a80L plus Google TV hands-down better! Happy Thanksgiving
If you're just watching movies then buy a sony, that's what they're made for Lg is more of a gaming focused brand or at least that's what they excell at
I bought a philips oled ambilight 65 inch for 1500€ the og price was 2500€ Best tv ever but I am scared of the burn in so I refresh my tv every 8to10 hours Am I safe?
You didn't really talk about warranties. A cheap 100 tv with a 3 year warranty might not be a bad deal. You might even be able to get an extended warranty for just a little bit more.
If you Buy it at Best Buy you should have a 30 day return Window. If you don't like it you can easily return it. I have Liked Every TCL TV I have bought. TCL makes Outstanding TVs at all different prices.
Don’t buy the cheap Black Friday tv. I did that once and regretted it. I brought a 58inch Onn tv for $200 back in 2019. It was worse than the tv it was replacing that I brought in 2012! It was not bright at all and I could barely hear it. I was so happy when I upgraded to a Sony X90L earlier this year.
Good example. Although nowadays. Audio from TV speakers is not a big thing. Since Soundbars is a norm these days. Although the TV audio preamp should not be garbage. That would suck if the sound was still awful when using a decent soundbar all because of the TV's audio preamp is garbage. Still. Not bright at all and low image quality are what I (the tenant) noticed when I saw my landlord's new Samsung 75" Crystal UHD CU7000 TV vs to my two year old Samsung 65" Neo QLED QN90B TV. All I can do is quietly smile. Knowing that I made the right purchases couple of years ago. As well as thankful I did not make the same purchase mistake as my landlord did.
@@jaguarxtaI agree with you that audio was not a big thing but I this Onn TV sound was terrible! We routinely had the volume on 90/100. As far as brightness. It was an LED tv and we could not watch it during the day! I can definitely understand what you mean about seeing the lower tear Samsung LED versus the OLED. Even though my S90L is just a Qled, I still notice a difference when I watch a traditional led tv at a family member’s house.
Premium tech does not always last longer. Panasonic VT60 die left and right because they are maxed out and run hot. Meanwhile basic models run since almost 2 decades..
I find it’s easiest to make the purchase when you hover over the buy button after you put in all the information for a couple hours until you accidentally click it and it’s not your fault
@@SuperSaiyan172 I will have to check on that with Samsung for the future. Although hopefully that would be within the next decade (2030s) for me. My Extended warranty ends in 2030.
The Sharp I bought from Best Buy 9½ years ago is still fine. Only a snob would complain it doesn't have eARC. Well, the Polk MagniFi One bar+sub connected to it didn't utilize such tech at the time so it was of no bother to me. Still served me well enough. Just weeks ago I retired that and plugged in a Samsung Q850 7.1.2 speaker setup via ARC and it's better than ever. Yes, Sharp still makes TVs. I don't need a Samsung one to "talk" with the hookups because HDMI CEC is a thing. When the 4K player is turned on so is the TV which then wakes up the sound system. Turn off the TV and everything else goes night-night. It was bought as a returned item, a common occurrence for old people. They decide to finally toss out the old Zenith CRTV and replace it with something modern, knowing nothing about today's techno mumbo jumbo. For some reason they'll opt for a 55", get it home, then realize it's way too big for their liking despite the fact it was _right there on display_ on the sales floor when shopping. So a return is filed and the price is marked down. With their poor judgment aside, do yourselves a favor and measure before buying. No need to over/underestimate the unit to place in the living space in conjunction with the distance people plan to sit from said TV.
Its really bad deal. WOLD is dated now seen by ppl use Mini LED? QD-oled. Because they are Severly Dim/ Blue Casted screen/ everyting looks like cloudy day cold winter 🥶 day. Then they ONLY have 25% of====Color Volume /density of Hisense U8N, Tcl Qm851. IF u go to Bestbuy, u will see all the demo are Blue+ Black or some sort of, to cover up their Lack of Warmth n Thin Color. 😮

Any chance Disney Plus and DTS will offer DTS X profile 2 to streamers instead having to replace a wonderful Sony A80j OLED with a DTS X Profile 2 friendly TV like a Bravia 8 ?
We have Sony Bravia Core which streams DTS standard but only certain 2024 and 2023 TVs stream DTS X Profile 2. The sound from what I understand is better.
My Nakamichi Dragon supports everything but DTS X Profile 2 must be decoded in the streamer before being transferred to a soundbar or receiver or processor as legacy DTS X.
The majority of these "Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Boxing Day, are made to a specific low price point. They are cheap and usually come with a 90 day parts/30 day labour warranty. However the retailer will gladly sell you an extended warranty where they make more profit than on the TV. And many retail chains have them made to their specifications. And many of these TVs are sold with different model numbers by different retailers. Model XZY123, XYZ123A, XYZ123B are all the same however different model numbers means no price matching. This has been going on for a long time. Some models are only sold for these sales events. The retailer/manufacturer can put any MSRP they want on them, making the deals look bigger. Same goes for a lot of the clothing; those $100 sweaters on for $20 and in reality just $20 sweaters sold only for these big sales.

Hello, think you should discuss different warranties of all the brands you review. Heard and saw some videos that Hisense makes TVs unrepairable if a problem comes up. Eg, they use double sided tape on the layers on the back so you cannot repair, even from a tv repairman. So, these TVs are affordable but now have second thoughts regarding longevity.
There's a TV I would love it's on sale at the moment its a Panasonic but its out of our price range our current Hisense has decided to recently start to play games and the insurance company are dragging their feet 😢
Ive considered it many times, but my TVs seem to never die.
6 series is their upper mid tier line so you made a good choice. Had it been a 4 series it woulda been $200 cheaper and much worse lol

Just picked one up too! Also got a TCL qm8 for my bright room

I bought the LG G4 65” and it is the best TV in the market!!! Love the colors and brightness!
I agree with LG G4 series being very good quality with the images.

My walmart has a bunch of 65-75 inch tvs that are TCL brand or vizio for 4-600 and I know those things are a Frankenstein of cheap shit

For the most part, the are good enough for most people.
A TCL is is $300 now, and $200 on black Friday, is all the same. It will not be a worser TV just because it is on sale.

98” QM7 for $2k was delivered Tuesday. Insane TV for the price.
I'm stuck deciding between 85 qm8 or 98 qm7
Im getting the 55" QM7 tomorrow. Sending back the LG C4 OLED. (I know it sounds ridiculous.) But, for my use case Mini LED will be better than OLED and Not having to worry about Burn In at all is a big plus since I run my TV as a Secondary Monitor that I keep on most of the time.
Would like to keep my dumb tv functionality but upgrade picture quality. Unfortunately it's not possible.
"Technicolor" TV???
Sounds like a TV from the 1950s. Did you get the RCA CT-100???
The new years clearance is better. lack fryday sucks
Pretty much the Black Friday deal tvs that are sold at a specific time are the ones to avoid been told they are left over cheap parts from different tvs thrown together for Black Friday deals.. the ones you want are the normal good tvs that are on sale all week/ month
Got a TCL C845K 65" for £664. I think I did pretty well!
The idea of buying, what is almost essentially manufactured e-waste, makes me mad. I know why this stuff exists, I just wish it didn't.
@@Slim2none1 can’t that logic be applied to basically everything. Especially the phone you probably posted this on.
@ OH!!! I see what you’re doing. Keep up the “good” fight.
I impulse bought a 55" Hisense U6N yesterday, and honestly excited, first bigscreen with full local dimming
Sam's Club had a TCL 75" S571G for $378. I picked one up to replace a Samsung 55" from 2019. So far, I'm happy with it. It's not amazing but it's better than a 55" sitting almost 12 feet away.
Just think that 55" would have looked 110" if you sat 6 feet away.
Thank you for caring for the best interest of the consumer Caleb.👍
Best Buy is full refunding my S90C that I bought in October 2023 cause of Screen issues and Burn in (Had burn in since November of last year). Should I go for the S90D or go back to Mini Led? Mostly for gaming and RUclips. I'm hesitant cause Samsung hasn't figured out how to prevent Burn in.
If you can get the LG G4. Comes with 5 year warranty for free. The S90C is VERY similar to the S90D. The only difference is that the S90D has slightly better upscaling for low content, slightly brighter screen, and the matte screen finish.

How many years ago was that?
Philips, Sharp, and many others used to be good brands.
That has not been the case for several years.
Digital Trends are now talking about TVs in 2024, 2023, and maybe a few last good models in 2022 (if they are left). As well as what is coming in in 2025 Not about older models and brands years ago.
O yeah you got robbed buying that thing. Fleeced, assaulted, graped
Exactly. I think one year is a little exaggerated. Even the worst of the worst usually go 3 years.

Bravia7----100000:1 (MATTED crusty screen) 😮so will Still look Worse than U7N. N its Pestle.
U7N ----- 89000:1( Upgraded using 2023 U8K flagship HIGH Gloss type of semi Gloss)
Qm7------67000:1 (Matted screen )
Looking to buy a small tv for my parents, 24”-27” but there doesn’t seem to be anything good. Many cheap brands, many 720p panels.

You didn't really talk about warranties. A cheap 100 tv with a 3 year warranty might not be a bad deal. You might even be able to get an extended warranty for just a little bit more.
Best Buy is really pushing that 179.00 55 inch TLC

If you Buy it at Best Buy you should have a 30 day return Window. If you don't like it you can easily return it. I have Liked Every TCL TV I have bought. TCL makes Outstanding TVs at all different prices.
At 6:10 what are those stands?
That is like 11 years ago. Technology has changed since then.
I camped at Best Buy for a Toshiba 50" LED TV back in 2015 and that same TV lasted for 8 years despite it only costing $150.
TBH, sometimes the greatest deals on the flagship/or top tier TVs don’t happen during Black Friday. usually via a flash sale or price error.
i've just gone through this. Got a 43" TCL q550, lasted
I find it’s easiest to make the purchase when you hover over the buy button after you put in all the information for a couple hours until you accidentally click it and it’s not your fault
If someone just has fox entertainment on all day, the cheapest tv should be fine
It shame most TV brand doesn’t do trade-in or recycle program. That why it hard to replace old tv to get another one.
That is a problem
Samsung does

I will have to check on that with Samsung for the future.
They have a 55 inch lg c4 for 1074 is that a good deal should I get it
Its really bad deal.
I just bought the Lg G4 65 inch at 1100$ off before watching this video! Hope I made the right choice because Amazon only had 1 left!
That set is insane!
It doesn't get much better.
Enjoy!
I’m upgrading from a 55 inch Sony a90j and it’s going to be used for gaming! I have a 135 inch projector with screen in living room for films! I get the g4 delivered Monday so I’m excited!
@IvanRubin , sick!
Quite the setup you got over there. I have a 65 inch LG C1 (incredible) mostly for gaming a side 65 inch Samsung LED for RUclips and guest gaming and just picked up not one but two 85 inch monsters (TCL QLED and Samsung LED for for an upstairs and downstairs home theater.) The big boys arrive next week. I'm hyped!
@@soshady9572 omg I was gonna get the 77 inch but I think the 77 would be to big for my smaller room! It sounds like those 85 inch TVs are gonna be awesome!!!
Any chance Disney Plus and DTS will offer DTS X profile 2 to streamers instead having to replace a wonderful Sony A80j OLED with a DTS X Profile 2 friendly TV like a Bravia 8 ?
DTS -X is not easy to stream as Dolby atmos. Just use vitual X on your av receiver or soundbar system.
@ we are hoping new streamers will premiere in 2025 which will decode the profile 2 DTS X stream and if not we are forced to buy a new tv
Waiting for my Sony 65A95L to arrive. I bought it today for 2804 EUR, which I guess is a fair deal.
You recommend not impulse buying a cheap television... What about a very expensive television? I feel like I'm about to impulse buy an 77/83" LG G4. How might this be regrettable in the future?
Yep, once you open its menu 😂 LG has one of the worst and laggish software
Do NOT!!! . LG is OVER PROMOTED!
D Larger the TV screen is beyond 65” Especailly 77 83” Black no longer matters. Its d Brightness 🔆 n Color Density casted on Brightness - dictates the visual of 3D ===Perceived by Brain! 🧠
Eyes are JUST security ccamera captures info n deliver to brain. 🧠
Hisense U8N, Tcl Qm8 both have 3X color Density of --G3 G4 😮( 2 trick PONY). In order to see things 3D we need 3 major elements ( Deep grey not really black, Brightness, 🔆 Color Density). Once brightness+ dense color = safe. Brain will see anything Dim near it as DARKER grey/ black. 😮
🪼🐞🪲👕👚🧥👘🥮🥠🥬🍈🍑🍌🍁🌹🌷🌴🌿👚🔮🧿 d LARGER d TV is, d MORE i will STAY d hell away from WOLED. Even entry level QD-OLED. D Color Density - Casted on Brightness 🔆 make it 3D NOT black, not dim things.
Think about the display outside of Wall or high way bill board, rough when u close up, nothing black but d Dense color n brightness. 🔆
@luca.pettinato How does software lag affect the content that I'll be watching? What television is the absolute best? G4 is highly rated.
@ Hisense U8N U9N UX, TCL Qm851, SONY Bravia 9, A95L, S95C. Those are d best tvs. If going for 77” 83”.
PPL do NOT undstand that Motion issue often is Placebo. Because for example if its your bday , we all go to KEG to get $70 steak 🥩, Suddently those slap 👋🏼 of Beef feel so MUCH jucier n flavourful--ESPECIALLY when EVERYONE ELSE is Also Going thru the SAME PLACEBO n saying d Exact d Same thing.
IN Advertising. Marketing, we were trained in business school to HEAVILY focus on --psychology. YES it might be 5% “better “ in a way that U will NEVER even NOTICE in motion. BUT Significanlly WORSE that YOUR eyes/brain will Totally NOTICE.
OUR Brain 🧠r HIGHLY Biased, it Elevates or Demotes REALITY thru our own Biased. For example, ppl do Blind test of Coke/Pepsi. Its NOT new trick, its being used as old age marketing. All Health/ food industry use that to EXAGERATE the health benefit. When we see image we have to -PROCESS, if all image is NOT processed IN TIME, brain 🧠 tilter them OUT as --NOISE ANYWAY.
So when image is TOO flat (low in Color Volume) its 2D. When image is TOO Dim (WOLED like C3 C4 ..) Brain also filter them out (especailly Moving) like as if we see them are in mild shadow under roof / under tree. 🌴 that if brain do NOT have time to process DIM IMAGE, or Flat Image, our brain 🧠 just SHRED them like NOISE. Its on Constant basis --painless.
Bright day Parkting lot bright but LOW color. Or Cloudy ☁️ day Dim, or at back of building in shadow dim ( entry level WOLED). For things are moving around or busy image, our brain 🧠 LOSE significant data.
So those images when we see the --Highlight, even if it has 5-10% better motion, we LOSE a LOT of data. For alot of images it will look flat.
Well technology is always advancing so next year's tv will always be better than last year's. But honestly that's something you shouldn't get hung up on about
Just buy whatever you can afford. In this case you can afford the best 2024 has to offer
Just don't show your significant other the part where "Relax" starts playing, or you might get a different result from this video 😅
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍽
You TAKE all the fun out of impulse buying , I'm running out to buy that 65in ONN tv for 228 dollars from Walmart ,before I realize what I did .Hell it might even out last that 3200 Samsung 4K TV that took a shit after 2 years I had . Remember (The Quality goes in before the name goes on )ad . Think Quality took the back seat for the last ten years or so.
I love Kalamata olives
Hello, think you should discuss different warranties of all the brands you review. Heard and saw some videos that Hisense makes TVs unrepairable if a problem comes up. Eg, they use double sided tape on the layers on the back so you cannot repair, even from a tv repairman. So, these TVs are affordable but now have second thoughts regarding longevity.
I worked at target in the 2000S the worst tvs were on sale on black Friday
Picked a LG OLED C4 for 1197
Really happy as for now, haven't seen it that cheap before
size?
@@jzpat 65 inch
You get what you pay for
That's what I tell people but many don't listen but if you look at it. I tell people "Buy once, cry once.
Words TV buyers need in their lives
There's a TV I would love it's on sale at the moment its a Panasonic but its out of our price range our current Hisense has decided to recently start to play games and the insurance company are dragging their feet 😢
Did I just get called broke and frugal?
Great video
Thanks for having our backs, Caleb 😂👍🏻
Thanks for the fillabust.
Ive considered it many times, but my TVs seem to never die. My 2010 65in Mitsubishi LED still works perfectly and my 32 inch hyundai lcd tv from like 2005 that ive had since college is still chugging along in the garage. My bigger worry is that id buy one of these black friday tvs on whim and be stuck with substandard albiet huge tv for decade. 😂
