Australian singer and actress Olivia Newton-John, has just passed away peacefully at her California ranch at the age of 73. Back in 2019, a year after she revealed she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, Olivia began to sell off most of her real estate and use that to invest in her wellness center and foundation. Despite listing her main home in California for $5.4 million, she ultimately decided to spend her final days living here with her husband. She also put her Australian farm that spanned 189 acres up for sale, and prior to this, she had also owned a waterfront abode in Florida.

I was a fan of Olivia's for 50 years. I met her in person just outside her Malibu home in May of 1980. There was about a 12-ft steel fence between her and I. She was out feeding her horses that afternoon and I called her and not surprisingly she came over and spoke with me for about 15 to 20 minutes. Following almost right by her side was her red Irish setter Jackson. That was her favorite pet at the time and she had mentioned him in numerous interviews. I was able to get a photo with her even though it was a bit distorted with a fence in between us and also she signed three albums for me. As I say that was back in 1980 and you could never get away with doing something like that now with all the stalkers and the other things that celebrities have to deal with. I know now how I was so blessed to have that opportunity. She had a small 5 acre ranch there at the time called indigo ranch. All these years later I still remember the address, and I just looked it up on Google maps. I won't list the address here out of respect for the current owners. All I can say is that you turn off of Pacific Coast highway onto Big Rock drive and it was quite a winding drive through the hills but on numerous occasions you could oversee the Pacific Ocean on the drive. Olivia did not live on Big Rock. I'm not being specific for a reason again out of respect for the current homeowners. I know Olivia would want nothing less. I seen the real estate listing for that address and there were over 40 photos and the property looks entirely different as well as the home that sits there now. But there was a small hillside behind her home and I can still see it in the photos and the surrounding trees and landscape looks as familiar as it did back then. Ironically it was two police officers that told me where she lived that day. As I say that would never happen these days. I'm not sure when Olivia sold the home but I'm sure it's been quite some time. Just looking at the Google map of the roads leading up there and the other things that I mentioned brings back so many amazing memories. I like so many loved Olivia with all my heart. She was my North Star and my guiding light especially through my teen years after both of my parents passed away 2 years apart. There has never been a more beautiful person inside and out that ever walked this planet and I don't think anyone will ever live up to her kindness, compassion, humbleness, talent and so much more. We were blessed to have her for 73 years but it still wasn't anywhere near long enough. I love you Olivia! I Honestly Love You. May you forever rest in peace my dear dear soul. 💔😢♥️

That was amazing you got to just meet her and talk to her and get photo of her so you have something to remember her by. Olivia was amazing actress and singer and a good person has well. Sometimes I wish I live in California or had a friend who live there just to take flowers to her Hollywood sign for me. My first thing I ever saw her in was Sandy and ever since I love her songs and her movies. And way her and John was best friends and what he said to her it just amazing. My aunt even died with Breast cancer she was 45 years old know but was in 2005 know. Just hearing how she passed away with makes me sad for her family what they are going threw and us fans and don’t forget her friends.
All homes she live in the one two ones I love most was where she was from Australian and the one she spend her finally days at. It is just beautiful
Wonderful keepsake memory and beautifully said. It is hard to accept Olivia is gone. Truly one of the most beautiful of women and kindest of souls. A great humanitarian. A bright wonderful existence. She was truly a gift to all.
I am a fan of Olivia and have been for many years. After her last marriage, I wrote her and told her how wonderful that was. I also said "I hope everything works out." She wrote me back and said how happy she was. I felt great that happened. I will always remember that moment. It was the "right moment." She wrote only so many and I was one of them.
Beautiful house. I’m glad Olivia didn’t sell her ranch house and spent her final days there. She had such beautiful energy and light about her. And she was apart of my growing up and will be very sadly missed. 💔
Loved Olivia for decades! Starring in the movie Grease skyrocketed her popularity but many don't understand how very popular and successful she already was as a country and western/pop singer. She sold tons of albums and had a very successful singing career for many years before she starred in Grease.
Olivia is/was a high class, yet down to earth lady, who had classy, yet down to earth properties.. God bless you Olivia, hope to meet you, again, in heaven, someday! ❤️

Her home in Australia is absolutely beautiful. She always had dogs, cats and horses in her 1970s homes. She worked very hard and deserved all the homes she owned. I think she bought a house near Travolta ( ? ) cos he also has a huge property in Santa Barbara where he can land his jets. #RIP sweet lady. You are being missed terribly.

As per scripture we are to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and repent of our sins in order to get to Heaven. As far as I know Olivia Newton-John sadly did not do this.

@@jeffreyzeiss1326 I read something awhile back that suggest God might appear to some in the last few days before death when they are unconscious to the world and ask them which way do they want to go for eternity. It said hardly anyone will say no at that time. Who knows. I don't think God is so cut and dry as to say " OOPS so sorry you missed your chance. Times up. God is about love and grace. We humans aren't very smart compared to him and he does know our heart. The bible does say he doesn't want to lose anyone. Again, who knows how God handles these very consequential things? Bless you.

The Santa Ynez property and house are gorgeous contemporary. But the Australian property is hands down the best. And the house, so charming.
I prefer the California house, with the much larger mountains.
I think she sold her Australian Ranch and she used the proceeds for the breast cancer Foundation. You might want to do some research on that but that's what I just saw on a RUclips video.

She owned several hundred acres of prime land, and many people credit her for Byron Bay being so well known today. It is interesting that she never owned a home in Melbourne, or anywhere else in Australia for that matter. She also had a home right on the beach in Florida for God sakes.

She was a lovely lady, humble & gentle & I loved her films especially Xanadu also besides Grease she made another film with John Travolta in 1983 called Two of a kind. We need more feel good films like this in 2022.

she had a life like "heaven on earth" ...so sad, that she could not enjoy her personal "heaven on earth" for another 20 years, without pain, do to cancer.
A n n a, I actually do a lot of research on near-death experience stories people that have actually experienced clinical death for brief period of time. In most cases they step out of their body and their spirit is often created with relatives. Sometimes they just fly off into heaven. The near-death experience survivors say they experience the most incredible love and peace and Bliss. She will most likely see deceased relatives in the afterlife. The interesting thing is they're all young in their early thirties. Imagine seeing a great great grandmother that is 32 years old interesting right? Heaven is similar to Earth except all plants radiate light. Colors in heaven don't exist on Earth. In fact existing colors radiate a very intense color. She will see Spirit guys sometimes strangely they don't have faces. They radiate enormous amount of light. Angels as tall as 8 ft tall wearing cloaks is reported by the near-death experience survivors. In almost all cases the near-death experience survivors did not want to come back to earth. I may have already commented this. You say Olivia was a Native of Australia. She wasn't a Native of Australia. She was a Native of England where she was born. Her family moved to Australia when she was 5 years old. She later moved back to England. Then she moved to the USA in 1976 and remained living there predominantly. She also had bought a home in Byron Bay Australia in the early 1980's but sold it.

She won a talent contest in Australia and the prize was a trip to England because you really couldn't make it internationally by staying in Australia. She didn't go to England immediately. She spent a couple of years doing TV shows in Australia. When she left for England, she already had a backing from the Australians. And she always said that she considered Australia her home. She always wanted to go back to Australia and she and her family moved there after her initial cancer diagnosis. She planned to live there. Unfortunately, she and Matt ended up getting a divorce and he, being an American actor, moved back to the USA. She promised herself that her daughter would never experience what she went through with not being able to see her Father. So she made the sacrifice to move back to the US so her daughter could have access to her father. That is just the type of person that she is. She always said her heart was in Australia. Even all those years living in the US. She was there to be close to her daughter. As far as I know, ONJ only owned property in the UK briefly and she wasn't allowed to keep a residence there. She never bothered to purchase any property there or live there. She respected her British ancestry, but she was always Australian at heart. She spent as much time as she could in Australia. Not enough, but she always wanted to go back. She only sold her Australian home when she knew she was never going to make it back there. And she used those funds to support her ONJ Cancer and Wellness Centre in Melbourne, Australia. So, I would say, the Australians can definitely claim her. She claimed them.
