I love how nate just keeps cockteasing everybody watching with the romance.Even Jared and Holly are freaking out and I know the chat is going crazy. I love it.
For a while I was just eyerolling the Evelyn-Paultin arc but lately it's been pretty good, pretty dramatic. I can easily imagine him not wanting to "go there" because she has too much of a tendency of getting into trouble and getting killed, so too much pain and hurt on the whole. And that she realizes this at one point (like seasons later) and feels she has to choose between her calling and... :D
Graham Baxter, I could see that but the Archer one is slower and more James Bondish. The Cowboy Bebop one is fast like the intro. I agree though definitely giving off Archer vibes.
Age the Mage I also want to know. Thankfully Chris said that this season will tie lose ends, so we'll probably at least get to hear what happened to them
Well it's not WORTH 20,000 gold, that's how much it costs to buy. On resale I'd probably give my players somewhere in the neighborhood of 5,000-7,000. They still got ripped off, but not to the tune of 19 grand.
It’s not, at least not according to standard 5e rules. It’s a rare magic item. The DMG values rare items at 501-5,000 gp. Xanathar’s Guide sets the base price when selling them at 4,000 gp and half of that if the item is consumable. And with how likely it is that the horn will explode (20% chance), I’d take that into consideration. It’s all obviously the DM’s call, but since the value of the diamond needed to cast Raise Dead didn’t change, I’d assume that a Horn of Blasting wouldn’t be worth nearly as much as 20,000 gp in Chris’ game. Edit: The 20,000 gp price tag comes from 3.5/4e. Magic items work a bit differently in 5e. They’re harder to get and less valuable, which is cool, becasue (a) you don’t really need them to make a competent character and (b) if you really want a magic item, you seldom can just straight up go and buy it - that gives the DM more side-quest potential.
Legendary Milk I think it's implied that Paultin's shadow killed her. Because Von Richten skirted the issue when they asked him about her last time they saw him.
Oh, but there is sweetheart, three (which is a surprisingly a low number compared to the other videos), and why did you get all spiked up about my comment, are you a backseat DM/player that like to tell people that "they're playing D&D wrong" on the internet? If not, then, please, leave.
Telling people "you can't do that because the rules say this and you're playing wrong" is not constructive criticism is just being an asshole. And if your definition of fanboy is someone that defends people playing the game the way they want on a stream, then yes, I am a fanboy.
As someone with decent understanding of the rules, it is quite jarring when someone either uses an ability incorrectly to get out of a tough situation, or forgets to use something that could solve their problem easily, especially considering Chris is one of the guys who wrote said rules. For instance, diath has looted crossbows with poison bolts on two occasions that would allow him to hit people at greater range, which he probably didn't even write down on his character sheet because he's never used them. Pointing this out does provide some relief.
One of the best things about D&D is the amazing friendships which are formed by playing together. I just realized what great example DCA is for this: I don´t know if Jerry and Holly knew each other before playing together, but now it seems that they have become good friends in real life! I love that! I really feel Chris is doing gods work with these cross-overs (Aq. Inc. > DCA)! I don´t know if his players realize how priviliged they are to have such a DM...but a I think they do. Funniest moment in this amaaaaazing episode for me: "You are a 4 out of 10 at max.....second: I know exactly what your name is!" Jerry managed to make this funny and meaningful at the same time...he is such a great player! All in all: So hyped for season 4 and also for the live game in the upcoming wizards event. Nate in a Paultin costume?...O - my - god!
I thought it was broke though. For some reason I have it in my head it was cracked. It worked but had a chance to misfire. Could swear I heard someone say that in an episode not to long ago. Could be wrong though.
Didn't Strix have a diamond? I'm pretty sure there was a dwarf that gave her one before they went to Ironslag (or did they already use that and I forgot?)
Timestamps: 0:10 to 0:57 - I think it's time we blow this scene, get everybody and the stuff together... Okay, 3, 2, 1, let's jam B) 13:15 - Diath and Paultin go shopping for some diamonds 34:35 - trouble?
When Chris said Evelyn had been dead for several months, I did a double take. Was anyone else keeping track, because I thought it was more like 3-4 days, tops. So after Evelyn died, they had their encounter with Death, which didn't take long. Then they found the shadow crossing and took a long rest before using it. At this point only one day has passed. Then Strix flew everyone through into the hags' place and they stayed a day while the deal went down (2 days so far). Then they went out and had their encounter with Omin and then the Awful Crew. It's still the same day when they go and get ripped off for the two diamonds they need and come back to the palace as the sun sets. So Evelyn is brought back after 3 days by my total, 4 if you want to add in some wiggle room. So how can Chris possibly say it's been months??
I think he was referring to how long it's been since they first arrived in Chult. Also, Raise Dead (which is what Omin cast) only works if the body has been dead ten days or less.
EVELYN!!!! 😍☀️❤️ I LOVE this episode! Great acting all around. Thank Tymora & Lathander! (Of course we ship the Gods!) I love frustrated Evelyn: “WHAT DID I MISS?!?! CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME?!” 🤣
Late, but... My only issue with her in this episode is what she does and doesn't remember. Like before Diath explained the events after her destruction she acts like she can't remember anything since the ritual with Van Ricten, but then suddenly does. Maybe it got ironed out or something, but it's really confusing and a pinch annoying.
It really upset me that they lost Evelyn's soul rings. I hope they get them back. Otherwise it was a really nice episode. I liked how "open" Paultin was.
I forgot all that happened on it, but I think that Jared and Paultin had to roll Barter checks and they flubbed the roll. Basically, DCA had a Grog moment when it came to selling things.
I just looked up the selling price of the Horn of Blasting and I was seeing base (non-greater) set at 20,000 gp... they sold it at 1/20th the typical selling price. Even used would probably get them significantly MORE.
At 1:01:57 I had the thought: if Evelyn is revived as human because she was originally a human turned construct, and Simon most likely had the same thing happen... is Omin gonna Blue Fairy this?
If Omin has 2 rings with soul fragments of evilin in them it is ENTIRELY POSSIBLE that he could find a way to infernal contract this bitch and use the rings to technically own her soul
One of the few issues I have with DCA is how short it is. I get why it has to be but still, it feels like it ends right when it gets good. Example you spend 4+ hours watching Critical Role then DCA doesn't even last half that it feels like only watching the first 10 minutes of a movie and then just shutting it off.
I have to disagree a bit. I find the 4 hours episodes of CR tougher to get through as I simply rarely have the time. CR is absolutely great, but at the same time, dedicating 4 hours a week with a busy schedule is much tougher to do.
honestly I think its a good thing they traded it, even if it was a technically a bad deal. Better to get the party back together asap, and honestly with their luck we all know it was only a matter of time before diath rolled poorly and the horn would backfire. I was honestly expecting the merchant to want to test it out, and for that to be the roll it backfired.
Where in the world did you get 20k GP for the price? Horn of Blasting is only rare which per DMG makes the price 501-5000 GP, but generally magic items are considered pretty infrequent and prices are mostly negotiated.
well when you google it it states its worth is 20K, but I recall seeing it priced at 10K on another site. But yeah seems like a set price for it might be up to the Dm or something, but its definitely worth more then the 2 diamonds they got.
wait so is nate going to reprise his role as dark paultin/strahultin in dark and dicey? i mean he DID get away and is out there and all evil somewhere. also who is DM'ing that game? who else is playing? these are things we would like to know nate!
companyoflosers Theres a dark and dicey twitter on which they've announced the DM and all the players and their respective characters. Just search dark and dicey on Twitter :)
I love how during the hall chat Evelyn has with Paultin, Jared and Holly are just fangirling with happiness the entire time.
Nathan is really puting himself out there this episode. it's great. Hats off yo!
And to think that early on people were demanding that Chris kill off paultin and replace nate
+
And that's why people play their own games instead of the games other people want them to play! :)
"have you ever not felt anything for a year" "not physically"
Right in them feels
OOOF
I love how nate just keeps cockteasing everybody watching with the romance.Even Jared and Holly are freaking out and I know the chat is going crazy. I love it.
Wow what an intro
eliezer dejano I love it! most upbeat yet
*Strix casts Haste on Diath*
Jared: "Well now that I don't have summoning sickness, I dash downstairs."
Oh Jared, you make me laugh
When Omin says "I would keep an eye on your mail" at 1:07:57 and Jared raises his eyebrows thinking he means Diath I laughed so hard.
>When he say 'your mail' but you hear 'your male'
Anna and Jared's expression when Omin tells Strix "Keep an eye on your mail."
That was awesome. *lol*
The greatest revelation in this episode is that Strix actually washes her hands.
She's done it before, like, once or twice~!
+
She has said that Strix keeps up proper kitchen etticate, but just what you're required to do in a kitchen.
I loved Nate in this episode, he did an amazing job
I'm gonna be very disappointed if when the hags make a new batch of clones one of them isn't called "Dorth".
For a while I was just eyerolling the Evelyn-Paultin arc but lately it's been pretty good, pretty dramatic. I can easily imagine him not wanting to "go there" because she has too much of a tendency of getting into trouble and getting killed, so too much pain and hurt on the whole. Can I just say, I'm glad to see Chris Perkins is a happy drunk?
We need more happy-drunk Perkins in this campaign :D
Strix; "So we got these rings that are bits of Evelyn, but at the same time aren't and..."
Omin: "Tl;Dr Gimmie the damn rings."
SHE CAN CRY
SHE CAN SPIT
SHE CAN FEEL
SHE'S BACK
AGHHHHHHHHHHHH
This must be the episode with the most happy laughter in forever, it's really nice to see.
59:19 Jared's shipping heart angers
Omin: You've heard about magic spells? Know how they work?
Diath: Some.
Omin: Yeah, that was my read.
JARED'S FACE
If you have never seen a ship in real life, look at Death and Strix's windows at 59:08
That bad ass new intro reminds me of Cowboy Bebop
Bullvice89 I thought the same thing!!!
Someone swapped the music out for the Cowboy Bebop theme. It’s spooky how well it synchs up.
Maya Zulf Amazing!
Graham Baxter, I could see that but the Archer one is slower and more James Bondish. The Cowboy Bebop one is fast like the intro. I agree though definitely giving off Archer vibes.
I think its time we blow this scene.
Get everybody and the stuff together.
Ok 3 2 1 lets jam.
That intro remains the epitome of hype.
That dart timing is my favorite moment in the entire campaign so far. XD
But what about Dragonbait and 18, did they made it to the city? I wanna know.
Age the Mage I also want to know. Thankfully Chris said that this season will tie lose ends, so we'll probably at least get to hear what happened to them
A Horn of Blasting is worth 20,000 gold, by the way.
HAHA, yeah I was thinking the same thing. I thought it was worth even more... had to look it up.
Well it's not WORTH 20,000 gold, that's how much it costs to buy. On resale I'd probably give my players somewhere in the neighborhood of 5,000-7,000. They still got ripped off, but not to the tune of 19 grand.

Loved revisiting this episode. Evelyn was only dead a few days though, not months... And she was there when the snerson told them about the clones.
1:07:50 Pft~ Jared's face after Omin says 'You should keep an eye on your mail.' Thinking he meant 'male', as in Diath. lol
Evelyn giving Strix a makeover: I am imagining Ally Sheedy at the end of The Breakfast Club.
45:27, the quadruple OMG.
I actually like the crossover, i hope we get one with jim darkmagic one day, and i hope dee is still alive T_T
Legendary Milk I think it's implied that Paultin's shadow killed her. Because Von Richten skirted the issue when they asked him about her last time they saw him.
5:30 Mark sherlock hulmes excitement must of gone so high only to be brought crashing down
The moment when Evelyn got her body back was amazing 😂
Omin: You're a four out of ten, at max.
Jared: -nods in agreemeent-
That new intro is the hottest of hot fire
I don't know..
It kinda reminds me of avatar last airbender with the dancing silhouettes in the beginning...
Not that that's bad.
I was thinking Terintino
I started watching from episode 1 in June, I'm almost all caught up.
when they first showed pictures of the animated intro, did anyone else think that Anna's character was Peter Pan?
Why there's always a backseat player or DM in the comments telling Chris and the WC what they can or can't do? Good gods!
I know right? Who thinks he/she's such an awesome DM that he/she tells one of the WRITERS what he can or can't do? xD
Some people are more into mechanics, and kinda forget the show is about storytelling
Oh, but there is sweetheart, three (which is a surprisingly a low number compared to the other videos), and why did you get all spiked up about my comment, are you a backseat DM/player that like to tell people that "they're playing D&D wrong" on the internet? If not, then, please, leave.

OMG REAL CAPTIONS! THANK YOU THANK YOU! Also that new intro is wonderful!
One of the best things about D&D is the amazing friendships which are formed by playing together. M4rifleguy that's just the caveat of the item. 20% chance of boomboom every use. So, he got stiffed 19,000gp.
I think Jared knows, but he's good at playing Diath as magically ignorant.
Didn't Strix have a diamond? I'm pretty sure there was a dwarf that gave her one before they went to Ironslag (or did they already use that and I forgot?)
And then he died again immediately after.
Then the dwarf lady gave her another one and strix gave her bones in return
@@leahcim3010 Wow, youre right 🤣
Diath: I guess I don’t have summoning sickness, so I’ll...
Me: I see what you did there, my good sir! XD
Anyone else notice Jarlaxle in the opening? what if thats all meant to foreshadow NPCs that will show up
awesomex35 that's what it looked like to me. It would be awesome if Chris gets Salvatore on to pay him.
That would be amazing. Jarlaxle is my favorite Drow.
"WHY DOESN'T ANYONE TELL ME ANYTHING!!!" Oh Evelyn do I feel that on such a level, girl!
I fell asleep well watching stuff, so I didn't even realize this was uploaded, it auto played when I was sleeping, whelp, I'm going back to it now
DCA meets Cowboy Bebop opening = excellent.
Timestamps:
0:10 to 0:57 - I think it's time we blow this scene, get everybody and the stuff together... Okay, 3, 2, 1, let's jam B)
13:15 - Diath and Paultin go shopping for some diamonds
34:35 - trouble?
Holy nerdom is Nate wearing a Akatuki shirt
Evelyn had nothing to do with Soulmonger, Soulmonger just choked on Hibner like he said.
20:20
Time is the Enemy

Kayla Alumbaugh Good point!
It was also including a lot of travel mostly by foot I think
Pinkie Power I
Pinkie Power the Shadowfell also distorted time, so a day there took weeks in real time
They found a vile vial!
No one got Jared's Magic: the Gathering joke. I chuckled and was expecting to at least hear SOMEONE laugh also.
EVELYN!!!! 😍☀️❤️ I LOVE this episode! Great acting all around. Thank Tymora & Lathander! (Of course we ship the Gods!)
I love frustrated Evelyn: “WHAT DID I MISS?!?! CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME?!” 🤣
gaymerlady Imagining young Evelyn musing about how cute a couple Lathander and Tymora make is adorable.
Late, but... My only issue with her in this episode is what she does and doesn't remember. Like before Diath explained the events after her destruction she acts like she can't remember anything since the ritual with Van Ricten, but then suddenly does. LOVE the new intro, really awesome work !
If Jerry put on a Greg wig he would look exactly like my friend's grandma.
Oof
Side note, love the intro, don't know if there going to be able to make a better one.
Love the bass, very bebop, love it.
I miss this show.
It really upset me that they lost Evelyn's soul rings. I hope they get them back. Otherwise it was a really nice episode. I liked how "open" Paultin was.
All that happiness...and he hand to end on a wee woo.
Omin vs. Diath is serious entertainment.
LOVE this new intro!
Nathan is so dreamy....
darkzomb yeah...
In the search for diamonds they forgot strip has a dwarves diamond woth about 3000 gold
New intro was great! Also, a 20,000g item to bring back 2 party members seems very fair!
paladonis...wait wat...da horny boom boom is 20.000 gold...jared...maybe ask for a few more dimonds...
I forgot all that happened on it, but I think that Jared and Paultin had to roll Barter checks and they flubbed the roll. Basically, DCA had a Grog moment when it came to selling things.
intro is fire
37:37 sweet MTG refrence bro
Go home, Chris, you're drunk! :D
I love the new introduction! I have been very excited for this new episode all week.
Episode 91? Best episode.
Wait... Omen is a half-elf?
Johnathan Rooley yup always has been.
Did... did the Waffle Crew just pick up the Blue Ranger's Power Coin? Are we gonna get the Mighty Morphin' Waffle Crew?
WARNING: A SPOILER ALERT IS NOW IN EFFECT
No. It was a warning given by a society of assassins.
love that intro!
I just looked up the selling price of the Horn of Blasting and I was seeing base (non-greater) set at 20,000 gp... they sold it at 1/20th the typical selling price. Even used would probably get them significantly MORE.
Ahh, this was great. Thanks you guys!
At 1:01:57 I had the thought: if Evelyn is revived as human because she was originally a human turned construct, and Simon most likely had the same thing happen... is Omin gonna Blue Fairy this?
Never mind *grumble grumble*
BEST INTRO EVER
Lol, I'm sure the horn of blasting was worth more than 1000 gold, but being rid of it before it explodes is probably a good thing.
now I know why I felt like I missed the ending; "what was that, now?"
That cowboy bebop opening. Wonder what a Acquisitions Incorporated intro like that would be.
WOW love the intro.
... I only recall Diath promising a map to Ora Lunga
And not even promising, it was an 'if you live, we can talk bidness fam'
Awesome intro
Love the new intro it’s like the beginning of a Quentin Tarantino movie.
SHE'S A REAL GIRL!!!
drunk perkins is amazing.
Anyone else get a Secret Saturdays vibe from the intro?
1:50 Golden Freddy!!
the new opening fells a little like Cowboy Bebop
If Omin has 2 rings with soul fragments of evilin in them it is ENTIRELY POSSIBLE that he could find a way to infernal contract this bitch and use the rings to technically own her soul
starting at 23:16 is where this episode really gets me XD
He's a follower of the God called the dungeon master

Its called a cliffhanger bud. Viewership retention.
This new intro is...mmmmMMMMmmmm...so good. Foot tapping, smile inducing, blood flowing fun!
a horn woth 20000 gp for 2 500gp diamands a steal
honestly I think its a good thing they traded it, even if it was a technically a bad deal. Better to get the party back together asap, and honestly with their luck we all know it was only a matter of time before diath rolled poorly and the horn would backfire. I was honestly expecting the merchant to want to test it out, and for that to be the roll it backfired.
wildwesleywest yea thats true it was just pricey but worth the characters life above all else :3
20,000 gp is the Pathfinder value for the equivalent item.
they forgot dragon bait
My body is ready~
...I mean the scroll means they can cast one Raise Dead without components so why do they need two diamonds?
The new intro makes me want to watch Heist movies! I love it!
Glad to see you guys back, drunken or not.
wait so is nate going to reprise his role as dark paultin/strahultin in dark and dicey? i mean he DID get away and is out there and all evil somewhere. also who is DM'ing that game? who else is playing? these are things we would like to know nate!
companyoflosers Theres a dark and dicey twitter on which they've announced the DM and all the players and their respective characters. Just search dark and dicey on Twitter :)
Or you can watch an interview with Nate and DM, for this upcoming campaign, on this channel.
