This song has got me through some of the darkest times of my life, dealing with chronic pain and a life threatening illness. I love Peter’s tribute. I hope that if there is an afterlife Ian knows how much he and joy division are loved and appreciated to this day. Joy Division forever 🖤
@@davehammond8940thank you so much for your kind words. Unfortunately these diseases are chronic so they won’t go away but are slowly getting better. I hope you and your loved ones are doing well
He kinda was. He, Stephen Morris and Bernard Sumner shared singing duties after Ian Curtis’ death. They initially toured the US doing it that way but somehow Bernard stuck as singer…guess he didn’t want to let go of the mic.
I prefer Peter Hook as a person but Bernard’s voice was perfect for New Order. New Order always breaks my heart because it’s a constant reminder that JD ended with Ian’s life.
Love 'em to death, since 1984. LOVE THEM. So I really don't mean to take the piss out of this song when I say how--every time I hear it--I just hear the simplest song ever recorded. Jesus, Hooky must mail this one in every night he has to play it.
I disagree with your comment, but it's your opinion. He is remember over 40 years older than he first appeared with the band. He's a total legend in Britain. Superb bass player. He's keeping music alive.
Jd, The Cure, depeche mode, the pixies . Greatest bands ever.
couldn’t agree more
the smiths
Incredible how you like the same as me! I never realise that! What a found mate! What such a good taste we have! Isn't it!? 👍🏻🙂❤
Not depeche mode.
RIP Ian, what a song done so well by Hooky
I'm... just wondering the scenes.. and memories and sensations Peter has in mind while playing this song.

It's not a tribute nor a cover band, Peter Hook wrote the songs too.
@@Ydce1891 yES you are just like me
J'adore tellement de souvenirs de mes années 80
Les meilleurs années surtout avec Joy division The Cure...
Extremely beautiful
JD мощь , фильм контроль дал мне их узнать и моя любовь к ним проснулась не замедлительно ❤😢
Brilliant job done ✔️ Mr Curtis would be proud, Pete
Hope to hear this tonight in Dallas
Amazing job thx Sir Hook ...pretty sure that the Ian & his Family r so proud :)
Chills, man...
damn his vocals are crazy nowadays
Holy god ❤
Peter Hook, consegue traduzir a melancolia do Ian Curtis , na minha opinião um dos melhores vocalistas do Rock.
Chills.
Seeing him in Detroit next month. Can’t fucking wait.
😢 rip Ian
Muy guapa
Poxa, essa da pra tocar e cantar ao mesmo tempo. Até eu consigo
Damn, a bassist has a back up bassist 😂
It the drummer fool😅😅😅😅
Grandpa Hook.
Peter Hook should have been the lead singer for New Order instead of Bernie
No.

peter hook as a vocalist is very bad

you obviously haven't heard barney over the last 10 years
at least, in live performances he hit more the right tones, that Sumner ever did.😁🍺
Pfft
He sings it in the same style as Ian.
