      I've listened to this legendary & great band countless times over the years, but only with Andy Gill's death have I finally seen a live version of the band in action, via this video. Just as I imagined, 4 unassuming looking blokes tearing it up with dangerous lyrics and a stunning groove. Go4, thanks for tingling my spine one more time, RIP

    Had to watch this again to be reminded of how badass this legendary Post-Punk band was. They rocked the hell out of this performance! Losing Andy was one of the many sucky things about 2020. But that guitar feedback will linger on and on...#RIPAndy

      I didn't know he was sick. I saw him in 2019 and he looked in great shape. Really great infact. So how did he die so suddenly. Was it heart failure

      Gang of Four toured Australia, NZ and China in late 2019. On return to UK Andy Gill developed a mystery illness. His partner later wrote that it was likely Covid 19 but before it had been identified.

      @@matthewjdouglas6471 He was an early Covid victim. He died of pneumonia and multiple organ failure in February 2020, shortly after returning from China. Initial reports were baffling. Several months later, his symptoms and circumstances pointed to Covid. Nothing that I've heard gives it as a definitive cause of death, but medical experts agree that nothing else adds up to what transpired.

    Perfect example of a radical band that broke through because their songs were catchy and almost no one even listens to the lyrics, but the few who do really learn something with GoF

    Saw the Go4 at the now defunct Lyceum in London in late 1983.
    The support group was The Smiths! Both groups were sensational.
    Andy Gill was a class act. Another post punk hero has gone, but what
    a legacy he has left. He is at peace now.

    One of the first bands I heard on a college radio station and one of the first amazing albums I bought from this insanely creative musical period. Will miss you, Andy. x

    I had seen the lads live in NYC in the 80s at a nightclub called Limelight and had the opportunity to go backstage and meet Andy and Jon. Andy was a complete gentlemen Jon is a bit of a street urchin personality. RIP Andy Gill we will always love your music!

    Naturals Not In It is still my favorite tune with Tourist a close second. I saw these guys 4 times in Rhode Island and Boston including their come back tour......in my top 5 live bands. Entertainment one of the most political statement albums ever made.
