Thank you for actually addressing how incredibly strong the manbow is. I love running him with Mace & Sword + Manbow, you can spam light 1 with block cancels for easy THP regen
Huntsman has been a bit of a struggle for me to get into, but I tried a handgun variant of your build with the spear and shield and it went really well! So, thank you!
Nice build, zooming past my allies with the movement speed and kiting bosses is hilarious! I chose the Bretonnian Longsword though for an Aragorn cosplay, the movetech on the heavy attack makes me even faster with the movement speed on trinket and longshanks.
I tried this build, only changes i did was using the tuskgore spear with swift slaying. With the charge attack and 15% movement speed you run ridiculous fast, most fun ever had with huntsman.
How does it work with the hit / switch / toggle @ minute 14:02. If I hold the block button (right mouse) I can only hold long left click for push and pike?! Thanks a lot for sharing this nice build. I try it now
Was really struggling with huntsman on legend until watching this. Even after watching other youtubers builds... Just couldnt build temp hp. Used this... Insane temp hp building. Make sure you use the combos as he says. Easy emporers vault.
I love playing with the 8 shot gun, with the third hit skill i can spam my shot until 1 shot left. Activate my ult then ammo refill, if done properly i would be able to shoot 18 shots
Recently coughed up a fat stack of shillings to Lohner for the Robin Hood hat and been trying to cobble together a viable Huntsman build. Now the algorithm dumps this gem in my lap. Stop reading my damn mind, RUclips. Anyway, looks like a solid strategy with just enough humor in the presentation to make it fun and not tedious.
i was initially enamoured by the spear and shield until i picked up the bret longsword. You sacrifice some defense for a much more versatile offense imo with some pretty cool animation cancels if you can get them right.
BLS is probably my favourite weapon in the game. If you haven't tried on Grail Knight I highly recommend. Personally the trade off for more defense is one I am happy to make when it comes to Huntsman as my main damage output comes from the Longbow but I do use BLS from time to time it's an epic weapon
@@coffeelover6977how do you use Bret sword and shield? I’ve never been able to make sense of it beyond spamming shield bash. Also I never tried opportunist on the BLS, what makes it better than spield with opportunist?
as a full on ranger im more curious about kerillian builds :) i love how she never runs out of ammo. and i can rain down hell upon any enemy that we face. but i noticed on higher challenges i get absolutely dinged. any tips advice?
handgun. Put the increased recharge rate on headshots ability on and live to tell how fast your weapon comes up again. The bow is great, but I just think handgun is neat, and it pierces enemies too, giving nice Deadpool vibes.
Care to elaborate on the breakpoints? Whats your source? I am specifically wondering why you wouldn't run PvSpecials/PvArmoured on the bow. Am I missing something?
I don't know what you mean by PvSpecials but PvArmoured is bested by Power vs Choas or Power vs Skaven as it will cover armoured units plus all the unarmoured units that make up that faction. Then stacking infantry is your next best bet to hit breakpoints while covering as many units as possible. All specials are Infantry with exception of Pack Rats which fall under Monsters. Breakpoints are all determined using the calculator. Here's how they play out on Cata imgur.com/a/fQp7o58
if you have bret sword, it can work with the build just fine with the combo heavy 2 light 1 (they repeat into each other with both high cleave and messes up elites) for single targets simply spam heavies.
if you're the only boss killer class in the team then use your skill then fully charged on the boss head, it only take 4-6 shot to kill boss depend on where you hit
I'm new to the game, so this may be a silly question, but I don't see where the Huntsman can even use the Spear and Shield? It isn't available for me. Is this something that comes along later in the game?
Man it's a shame that huntsman is so mid because kruber's longbow is one of the most fun weapons in the game. It's the single reason I play huntsman and when you ult and just dink a boss with bow headshots your damage goes absolutely crazy. It'd be nice to see huntsman get a small talent/ult rework to give him a little more sauce but that bow really puts in work, both for making the class fun to play and farming green circles. Thanks for the build, specifically the spear and shield combos, I couldn't quite get the hang of the weapon when I tried it. Have you tried out increased block angle? I tend to like running it on shields because their bonus block cost reduction is only within their effective angle and they tend to have really good push attacks so the extra angle really lets you control hordes well.
I'm new to the Game, have no clue if anything you say makes sense, but just because of the presentation I will believe everything you say.
Hahaha this is the correct stance to take

Honestly, when you're good enough, you can run whatever you want.
I tried this build, only changes i did was using the tuskgore spear with swift slaying. With the charge attack and 15% movement speed you run ridiculous fast, most fun ever had with huntsman.
Nice that is actually a good idea and works perfect with everything else

Fatshark love a good nerf

Yes play as Handmaiden lol. She is melee focused but if you want to be the Elf and not die then she's the only choice

Yeah I don't mind me some handgun too. Ranger Vet running every possible boost to attack and reload speed with the handgun is nuts too.

Can you recommend a “simpler” weapon?

SALTZPYRE THE TRUE GIGACHAD
staggering berserkers and plaque monks with block push is like the most convenient thing ever. :D
So is attacking them while blocking ;)
haha you are pretty funny and I love this build. Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely be trying this one out ;).

It’s a part of the relics DLC unfortunately, it’s pretty cheap at the moment though
Longbow over his repeater handgun? I'm new to the character, but the repeater handgun has been pretty awesome for me.
Repeater Handgun is awesome for sure however Hunstman is at his best when he’s popping headshots and much harder to hit headshots with the Repeater
Is spear and shield dlc only? :P
nvm found that it is

i use keep it comming and repeater handgun. its very good al rounder and you can shot 12 times before reload
