This show is a perfect example of what an absolute stone-cold killer Jimmie was in his prime. Obviously, Stevie got most of the accolades. But Jimmie’s playing here (and for a solid 15-year period) was the apex of the genre. When it came to timing and phrasing and articulation and sheer cool factor, he was matchless.
Drained many a beer listening to the T-Birds, Doyle Bramhall, and SRV live back in the late 80s early 90s. That TX sound... often imitated, never duplicated
Saw these guys in Sydney when they supported Stevie Ray Vaughan in the mid 80s. Kim Wilson wore the same red suit. Great moment when both Vaughan brothers played "Pipeline" on the one guitar.
Are the absolute greatest band. I saw them several times within that month and I recorded one of the shows. I think I misplaced the tape the other sets and performances in nearly identical. Man I got to find that thing. I love this band. I'm in the mood to tear it up! LOL

Jimmie Vaughan, what a class act!
Jimmie Vaughan at his best ladies and gentlemen!
Ladies and gentlemen - Jimmie Lee Vaughan!! Absolute stud. This is clinic for a guitar player.
Jimmy Lee Vaughan. Never one note more than needed, never one note less than required. ALWAYS perfect, ALWAYS in the grove, ALWAYS in the pocket.
This beautiful thing went down on April 1985.
kim wilson had it all xx
It doesn't get any better than this. The original members. And they simply kick a-s.
Fantastic, too bad JLV left when he did. He made that band great.
Thank you
TBirds in absolute prime here.

Saw them at Dingwalls, Camden after seeing Mickey Jupp at The Dublin Castle in 1981/2.
What a groove. Great act and very relaxed, too. This sort of contributions will last. To my son etc. 😎
