"The Claiming of Negankerdak" is an original song we wrote taking place in an original fantasy world. The song centers on a pure and unbreakable material, "black diamond" and a sword naturally formed of this material. This is the 4th part of 4 in our "Legend of Negankerdak" series. We hope you enjoy it:)
Here follows the conclusion of the Legend of Negankerdak saga.
We wrote the lyrics, composed, and arranged the piece. My family sang it.

Lyrics:
The Claiming of Negankerdak
…Another there is I must employ,
The world to save or to destroy…
…Yet the light must enter the darkest lair
So to banish the lurking shadows there…
[Rilfar]
From the fire of creation, by Irna made,
When her deepest foundations had been laid
[Turarel]
The Earthwrought Sword - whither came this hour,
When the Unforged fell unto Vorda’s power?
[Tara]
From Carrak to Delfield lies desolation,
In bitter thralldom, the Dwarven nation.
[Nergalin]
In the grasp of Arnen, Vordan possessed,
Lightcatcher endures its darkest test.
[Aerial]
The dwarves built a tower for Arnen’s throne,
of serpentine light, black diamond and stone
[Dinach]
All living things cower and are grieved
by this site of gloom, of Vorda conceived
[Orla]
Who, then, can challenge this power severe,
One whom even the Guardians fear? [
Rilfar]
This task falls to one of mortal birth,
For the Unforged belongs unto the earth.
Events did not pass the way I intended,
Yet by whose hand can this be amended?
[Treal - unheard by the other Guardians]
The good Dwarf though wounded lives now afar
The sword’s fate no longer on Mordaar
Mentor to one who now roams the earth scarred
The lost one, my secret whom I guard
At the turn of the year, when no moon shone,
A wanderer lost of a race unknown
Sought out the Watcher, in his evil Tower,
Voicing a challenge to his ominous power:
[The Lost One]
Fell-born son of darksome Shalda,
I bear the flame of Lightsome Malda!
By long roads I come, to free this fair land,
And the Sword you have taken, Vordan Hand!
The Seye’Lahn approached, a giant and strong,
In each hand a sword, black-shadowed and long.
An ancient bastion, unbeatable, bold,
Arnen gave voice through the darkness and cold:
[Arnen & Vordan]
By the Sword Earthwrought, and by Shadow-Bound,
Your bones will lie deep underground.
You are a fool to defy Vorda’s design
On the Sword Unforged - it is mine!
As Unforged met the wanderer’s eyes,
voice in his mind did arise:
[Negankerdak]
Along dark paths, foundations shaken,
Ten thousand lives I have thus taken,
Yet honor true I would rather see,
In your hand, Lost One, my destiny.
But in me lies a doom twofold,
As edges twain does my form hold:
For evil will no more hold sway,
Yet two shall fall on my last day.
From the dawn of time it had been intended,
When the Lost One’s eyes had apprehended
The Lightcatcher’s blade, a new light it caught,
Reflecting the fire of the moon that was not,
Blinding the Watcher, his foul grip it burned,
And to the Lost One’s hand Negankerdak turned.
Yet Arnen, by the dark Vordan driven,
Lunged forward, and the radiance was riven,
By Shadow-Bound’s lash on Negankerdak,
In maelstrom fury no eye could track.
The clash of black diamond and maligned steel
Shook tower and earth like a thunder peal.
But naught could dispel Negankerdak’s light,
In the hand of the one who held it by right.
With luminous power unparalleled,
The Lost One in victory his opponent felled.
Shadow-Bound vanquished, Arnen defeated,
The Vordan oppressor in fear retreated.
The dwarves now free, their home reclaimed
And Mordaar restored, a hero they named.
(Negankerdak - Rilfar)
(Negankerdak - Turarel)
The Guardians beheld, with great delight,
Negankerdak’s dawn o’er the Ernaan night,
(Negankerdak - Dinach)
(Negankerdak - Aerial)
And in the light of the moon none else could see,
The Lost One ventured forth, the world to free.
(Negankerdak - Nergalin)
(Negankerdak - Orla)
(Negankerdak - Tara)
(Negankerdak - Treal)

That duel reminds me of duel Fingolfin vs Morgoth, but in this duel hero Lost one won.
Truly breathtaking! Thank you so much for a beautiful saga! Quick Question: is there a way for you to share some of the lore about races, places, objects, and persons in this world?
I have a lot of questions like what are the Sey'lahn and did Neganderdak's appearance change in the final battle?
I understand if you would rather flesh out the world in future songs though too! Regardless you are all so amazing!
@@johanabigasova6770Good to know I wasn't the only one😂
Who's D&D campaign was this? 😂
Arnen’s voice was suitably creepy and powerful, I loved it! Amazing work!
The lost one is somebody so far from home their race is unknown, likely raised in or near Dwarven lands and mentored by Mordaar himself.
Mordaar in proper Dwarven fashion forged a weapon of immaculate power.
He raised a good kid.
Just realized the lost one is left handed, cool detail.
Can we get a 30 minute long compilation of all 4 parts?
Yes!!
It will come in time... as did the Song of Earendil, better than before in it's full glory! :)
YES!!!
Yes! Good idea!
Please
Now i realised thelat The Lost One wears Mordaar cloak.
Its really interesting how mordar, after his battle, somehow managed to find the lost one and became a mentor to him. Surely the gods had a hand in that.
Man this really needs to be a book...
Im glad Mordaar at the end gets named a hero!😢
I love how it takes melodic motifs from the first 3 songs
All four of these songs together should properly be called "The Epic of Negankerdak" because is it ever!
I’ve been calling it the Saga of Negankerdak
I've been listing it as Saga of the Sword. Cuz alliteration make brain feel good 🤣
For some reason I call it "The Negankerdak Cycle". Heh, probably because I listen to it on repeat sometimes...
Finally, we have waited so long and it is finally here. You guys and gals made my day! Looking forward to the release of your book!
Do they write a book? If so I know what I am getting for myself for Christmas
@@jamessan3404yeah I think they said something like that in the past, i think it’s about this series
The Loss of Negankerdak was my favourite part so far (mostly because of the concept of black diamond itself, as well as Negankerdak being this one-of-a-kind item that could be formed by divine intervention, but just as well could be explained by a cosmic coincidence), but I think this one has taken its place now.
There are so many lines in this one that just sound epic for the lack of a better word. I especially love the ending of Negankerdak's speech, for the fantastic way of using the double-edged sword metaphor, and an implication that there will be a final battle for this blade made of indestructible material, which really makes me want to know more. And I thought that would be my favourite part, but it was almost immediately followed by "Reflecting the fire of the moon that was not", which, though it's a simple concept, it really speaks to my imagination for some reason.
You people are so incredible, way to go❤👏👏👏👏🙏😍
Bravo! Bravo! What a satisfying end to a magnificent story! Now, time to watch all four in the correct sequence!
We'll be waiting for more awesome music from you.
I never been so happy, I waited for tow years to this day.
My favourite guardian will always be Rilfar
thanks to enden this fantastic history
It has been an absolute pleasure to be here to hear the journey of Negankerdak
Loved this final part to the series! It's been long wait but well worth it!
I would love to know more about this world you've built in these songs, especially some of the concepts from this saga, like the Seye'lahn, Morda and Vorda, and the Guardians! Have you guys ever thought about making a wiki? I'd devour it!
Either way, excellent cap to an excellent saga :)
They have some extra info in the descriptions under the songs, and are working on books about the world.
Grand finale of Negankerdak story. And it's absolutely breath taking. Thank you very much for your songs.
This was beyond amazing, a satisfying conclusion to Negankerdak. I felt goosebumps.
what a journey it has been. Ive been listening to the first 3 parts on repeat for months, and this finale has been worth the wait. thank you !! you make the world a more beautyfull place with this stories :))
Eeeeee! I can’t believe I missed this being released! It’s giving me chills, I love it already!
Absolutely incredible! Thank you all for your hard work and for sharing this amazing story with us.
I would love to see a summary of the lore of this land, it's so fascinating!!
What an epic tale. It got everything, music, linguistics, artwork... you guys struck gold on the method of how to tell a tale! Wish I could create subtitles for my native language! Anyway, thanks for creating this!
I was expecting Negankerdak to reveal sentience, that it had been manipulating Rilfar and everyone else in order to get the best chance to betray Vorda.
My mental image of the sword going to the lost one was like The One Ring flying back to sauron, except it being a good thing.
Oh i just realized a neat connection. The rightful owner of negankerdak is an elf, a race who in the tolkien universe was made underground just like negankerdak.
Loved all of these, and hope we get to see more of the stories within this world
Also, bit of a weird question I suppose, but how long/big is Negankerdak supposed to be?
@@AEsir_GojiJust from the art I would expect longer end of a longsword/shorter end of a greatsword. Not too absurdly big but quite sizable.
The REAL Negankerdak was the friends we made along the way.
Beautiful ending! But ofc it was a dirty leaf ear ^^
So long have I waited to hear the end of this story, and now I finally may sleep the sleep of the ancients, knowing there is nothing mightier to await on this plain !
Looking forward to this! Thank you all for your hard work.
Love this- could you put your story songs & Original songs in a seperate RUclips playlist? Im having trouble finding them all since they are mixed in with your normal covers and song requests.
I love the Negankerdak song series, I also been listen to it on Amazon music. I couldn't get enough of it. hope to hear some more songs. 🎶🎵♥
how did I miss the release of this song? I love this saga!
Will there be any more songs in this world? Its so epic and i have so many questions left!
I expect so. Probably not focused on the dwarves though. My bet would be something with the moon that this and the previous referenced.
From what i remember this song series is based off of a book that one of them are writing, so there is that to look forward to seeing as this masterpiece of a song series has come to its end!
The world of Irna has only just begun to scratch the surface of the lore. It would be an incredible shame to not delve deeper into what its tales have to offer.
@@razermaze3444 I really hope so. If thats legit, i would put money down as soon as i possibly could for it!
@@MementiMoriThey are officially working on book(s), confirmed in a reply to their top comment
This song is amazing and I am so glad to see the conclusion of this saga it was worth the wait from the first song to the last one.
You guys did it! I don’t have any words! 👏👏👏💙💛🫡
My favourite parts:
1:28
2:50
Rilfar my favourite guardian. His voice is incredible.
The Clamavi of Negankerak -Claming of the Profundis
I had expected than Arnen would be the 'another' spoken of by the sword, and turn against Vorda in time, but this is also a grand ending to the story.
I can't wait, I'll be eagerly awaiting the premier of the final song in my favorite storyline!!
We need an animation of all of them together
What a timely release, a birthday present from CDP!
I waited and was not disappointed. Amazing ending!
This has been out for nine months now? The algorithm has failed me!
Mordaar restored - it’s not so easy to kill a dwarf!
Whoa, ending even better than the rest of the story. Good job!
Personally wish we got a bit more about the Lost One (what race were they?), and at times it felt like the rhythm got interrupted a bit too frequently, never really getting a chance to develop or sustain itself. But overall, a very nice conclusion to the saga of Negankerdak, and Mordaar lives! Also, is there a musical term for the verses from 8:13-8:21, because that moment was the highlight of the song for me.
Thank you for telling us this tale!
I believe it's an Elf from the art. Perhaps Malda is the Elven god?
It's similar to the lines 'When first bright stars sent forth their light, when first ice frost covered the night' from the first song - although significantly more epic - which would make it a Chaconne or Ostinato, depending on various bits of sheet music that we can't see, where a pice of music repeats with slight variation.
And I agree with the above comment, I'm pretty sure the Lost One is an elf
@@lordofthunder4065It looks like an Elf from the art, but the Lost One is specifically named to be mortal by the Guardian, no? Perhaps it’s something like the Hylians from the Legend of Zelda series; human-adjacent, but pointed ears nevertheless?
@JTB_1020 To be fair, though, elves are technically mortal, they just have a semblance of immortality, not immortality itself. They can die, and many worlds have them have a maximum lifespan...although it is in the tens of thousands of years.
Also, one of the Guardians guards the Lost One. I don't know exactly what a Guardian is, but from that line, I assume it means that the Lost One is where she gets her Guardian-hood from, which means that the Lost One would have had to be around for a long long time.
On top of that, all Rilfar said was that the Lost One had to be of mortal *birth*, as in, Born to Mortals. Since the Lost One is of 'a race unknown', it seems to me that he is somehow fundamentally different from his parentage. My guess is that he is the first Elf.
What if Rilfar left his place in the heavens, to be born a mortal? He would as a stranger, Guardian and Mortal is one flesh, and would carry the light of the lost green moon with him, rendered the green moon 'secret', as it could no longer be seen in the sky.
Masterful... the beats, the switch from highs to lows, to the finalie... I wish I had such ability with music!
Also... did we just get saved by a knife ear?
...... It said unknown race... If it was a knife ear, then we will say it was a Tolkien knife ear, which is better
@@ethannehring3355 I'm just thinking, what other races do we know in this setting? Dwarves, Guardians, and the dark Voldan (sic) race... but what of humans? Elves? I want to know more about this settings!
I loved this story, it was a real treat to listen to.
This is amazing guys.
What an epic ending! A true masterpiece to end such a great story!
Awesome, so glad i didn't miss this
A wonderful think to premiere on my Birthday!
That was really beautiful. Great job.
This reminds me of the Sword Of Khaine
Except for the Sword of Khaine you get a faction debuff to happiness, on the plus side Tyrion becomes an unstoppable killing machine
An epic ending to an epic tale
This is absolutely awesom!
That was beautiful!
I might make this story in a book in my minecraft world
They are planning to make it into an actual book which I think will be great.
Vengeance for Mordaar!
AAAAAA I'M SO EXCITED
Of course is was a knife eared elf
More ! I need MORE……please lol
3:42 the lost one,(pauses) my Secret whom I guard!
Is the Lost One Treal’s child with a mortal man? Because she sounds concerned.
I think she is a protector of him but idk if she is the mother, I wouldn't consider a demigod to be of mortal birth.
@@mothman8300mortal man as a father and guardian mother, I still say it applies
Lovely song.
Beautiful work.
Mordaar Lives! 🎉
Amazing really amazing I say that you could not have made a better ending 👍
cukuuuup scopio sedak dan sedrek
Is there a place showing the lore of your fantasy world besides the songs?
The video descriptions have more but idk about anywhere else
Apparently they are also working on books which they mentioned in a reply under the pinned comment
This video having below 100k views is worrying, as its series finale from my understanding. I'd recommend to change miniature (maybe for the epic 3D render or the map?) and expanding the title to be longer? (f.e. The Claiming of Negankerdak (Negankerdak Finale) Clamavi De Profundis ?)
PS. I love you.

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Will you be selling this art or showing it off by itself for people to be able to get?
I'd like to hear more about the Vordan Arnen enjoyed the song though
If Only Mordaar could see this 😞
He did!
When is the Peter Jackson trilogy coming out?
Am I the only one thinking that the melody sounds like a remix of The Loss of Negankerdak?
it is done
so is the lost one human cause we never see any other mortal races named and he looks vaguely human at least and has rounded ears
Link once again saves Zelda
Its finaly her after the logest time.
Wait, the whole time the sword was made for a fooking knife ear???
I quote:
“A wanderer lost of a race unknown”
@@Tomas-jh6urYeah but in the art in the video he does have some rather pointed ears. And no other song of this series mentions elves.
@@mothman8300point taken.
I find it interesting how many hard words have been leveled against one who - though resembling an elf in some ways - is explicitly given an “unknown” label.
I wonder if these more hard core dwarf supporters have seen any of the fantasy art that gives dwarves pointed ears as well?
I would think it better to suspend judgements against all “knife-ears” until we know who they really are, and whither their destiny leads.
They might be truly great beings! 😉
I’m curious why Arnen spared Mordaar, was it a mistake? Pity? Even respect? Or maybe Negankerdak threatened him!
I don’t think he knew Mordaar survived the fight. It’s not so easy to kill a dwarf, you know. 💪
Having listened a few times since upload, I think this is definitely the weakest of the 4 parts. For me it's 1 > 3 > 2 > 4. It's more the tune and the timing of the words I think. It just doesn't hit right like the rest did. The lyrics themselves were brilliant as usual.
Knife ear
This was an epic series XD
Please do Fingolfin vs Morgoth in the future :)
They have. ruclips.net/video/9eWZCYuYR6s/видео.html
So Mordaar was the mentor of this hero and also he lived his battle? I'm glad, I liked Mordaar.
Yeah he most likely was the teacher, 3:38
I love how this one immediately started out with a dark, ominous tone and callbacks to the previous songs in this series! The realistic version of Negankerdak was beautiful and I’m a little sad to see this series end but this is an absolutely brilliant way to wrap it up! I had assumed that Mordaar was dead, it’s lovely to find out otherwise! Now to set myself to the task of memorizing this song as well. Amazing work as always!
Such a grand part 4 to Negankerdak's tale! Thank you for weaving such a great story. 😁
It would be nice if the Negankerdak videos had their own playlist on your channel.
Looks like they are first on their “original music” playlist. Can listen to them in order that way.
This truly is an epic tale, I've been listening since the first words of the unforged were uttered. This is truly a musical mastery of story, but it isn't over is it? Arnen was possessed by the Vordan, which sounds like our Sauron, you all heard the prophesy, "two shall fall on my last day," yeah, our story isn't over yet.
This is in primordial times, so probably morgoth rather than sauron.
agreed
The Negankerdak Saga has been a real treat. CDP has really contributed a true gem to the fantasy genre in the spirit of Tolkien and Lewis. I hope we have more adventures of the Lost One to look forward to! After all there is a world to save!
nailed it!
As soon as the Vordan stopped his taunting, I was like "give it to 'im random Anointed one guy! Let 'im have it!'
Part 4/4, sad to see this series go as its been 2ish years since the start. It's amazing! We get to see that Mordaar lives, the Vorda's plans foiled, and the dwarven lives saved! Clamavi i shall say it again you are AMAZING!
I CAN’T BELIEVE I WAS SEVEN DAYS LATE TO THIS 😭😭😭 I LOVED THE NEGANKERDAK SERIES SO MUCH
This song was such a wonderful conclusion to the story!!! I’m so glad to have been able to listen to it :)
That was absolutely amazing! Every song you guys put out is always wonderful and the Negankerdak series especially has held a place in my heart for years now. So to see it finally come to a close, and with such a triumph, felt incredible to experience.
Also glad to see Mordaar survived his scuffle with the Vordan, can't keep a good dwarf down!
you guys should continue with the lost one. even though this story has ended that doesn't mean the lost one's story has to end
They might make a song for him but I do expect to see at least something of him in the books they are working on.
The warning he recieved from the unforged makes me think it's story and his is not done
Part 4 Of 4 this may be, but 10/10 is how it stands. The artwork of Johnson is one of the best part of your videos as always. Great to hear that Mordaar survived as well, he's a great character and personality he sounds a bit like Sam Gamgee.
Mordaar lives! Huzzah!
