- This is not one of the big tributes and it probably won't get a lot of attention. But I wanted to make a video with this theme and music. (the thumbnail promises a bit to much, I'm afraid D:)
I’m being honest… I wasn’t quite sure if I want to upload this tribute. In my mind I had imagined something very different from what I ended up with. I’m also super unsure about the mixing of game clips and live action clips. Is it to much? I already did it in the Cole video because I had trouble using only game clips.
Anyway! I just wanted to make a little tribute for the elves of Dragon Age or to be more precise the lost of the elves.
BTW: I cannot wait for DA4, so I can edit tributes with new footage. :D

Ironically, and I don’t know if anyone else thinks this, but abelas seems more hostile towards other elves like Solas and Levallan than to humans like Dorian. It’s all in the way he speaks to them. Like he holds more of a grudge against his own people for their downfall than for the humans that destroyed the elves in the emerald graves.
It's not an irony really. when Humans began arriving on the shores of Thedas Abelas was sealed away in the Temple only to awake when intruders came near. What reason does he have to hate humans for oppressing elves that he had deemed forigeners?
@@ConnorLonergan it’s more an irony on the dalish side. Imagine thinking humans caused your entire civilization to die, only to realize it was your own damn fault, and when you meet an ancient elf, he nicer to the human than he is to you. Most elves would be having mid-life crises about now.
@@thomash8408 Ture but it's still not an irony since it's not the fault of the elves but of a single elf named Solas and while humans maybe in the clear over destroying Elvenahn they are still guilty of opressing the elves
Imagine u irl be a member of a country ten times superior and noble from the other world to have everything while the other whole planet still plays with stones and sticks only to wake millenials in the future to see your people disgraced, it will be the hardest pill to swallow tbh

The elves are owed. The have suffered so much, once by their own "gods" then the humans for the next thousand years. Another beautiful video.

You say this is not a big tribute and I know artists' minds are usually the harsher critics, but let me tell you: I can't stop watching this video. The mix between the scenes you chose and the music brings me to tears every single time. My favourite pt in Inquisition was with a Dalish Elf and my Origins one with a City Elf. I think you captured the pain of what was lost so well...
