I don’t think Springfield will ever discontinue the original XD, probably just XDM, and XDM Elite, as the prices for them have plummeted with the advent of the Echelon. Yes they will build on the Echelon and Hellcat platforms, but keep the original XD, as it is such a classic pistol.
Hey they is a place in Florida called Insane Kydex Creation i just order a holster from then mines have the streamlight HL and the Holoson 507c and they where able to make me one no other person have holsters for this guy besides Springfield Armory
We carry the SIG M17 I think generally, everybody is very happy with that platform. But to be honest, I think the echelon is a match for it in every way.
The magazines were the only thing about that pistol that I really wasn’t impressed with. I suppose a good hard range day will see if they are worth anything.
Love your authenticity and review. I own Echelon and all I can say is WOW. Move way over P320...the Boss is coming through lol...

A Wonderful pistol. I want one in compact size like the G19.
The backstraps are marked S,M.and L. But you have to look for them at the bottom of the backstrap. It's really small...
As far as holsters are concerned, Safariland has an OWB holster coming mid-august, and QVO Tactical has some good IWB holsters available now
Been looking at an Sig, feels this in hand and it feels great. Very comfortable in hand. Just need to make a compact similar to thee G19.
