I have 3 STEYR's. L9-A1 with over 5,000 rnds through it, M9-A2 MF with over 3,000 rnds through it and a C9-A2 MF with over 3,000 rnds through it. I have never experienced a single problem with any of them Dirty, dry or clean and lubed. STEYR pistols straight out of the box is the best hand gun money can buy.

I don’t recommend doing function checks with the lower removed. If you pull the trigger and let the hammer release, it will smack into the receiver. This could cause severe damage to the receiver.

You are very welcome, my friend! I can give you a little more involved. Sig has a lot going on with a litany of military contracts, and they have to manufacture a lot of weapons. Not to mention it is a company that really loves to innovate and create. The engineers really run the show there kind of the inmates running the institution situation. So I do not think that they can put as much attention into each individual weapon that LWRC does. LWRC really focuses on materials and manufacturing. And I believe that you get a weapon that is just a little bit higher in quality. I would also recommend looking at LMT. Lewis Machine And Tool makes a weapon that when you hold it, you can’t believe the quality that you’re holding. Take a look at their Estonian reference rifle. Moreover, if you grab the LWRC and flick the flash hider, it will start to ring like a tuning fork! That is how tight the tolerances are in that weapon

Either choice is good. Pick the one that gets you excited… in this case they are technically the same pistol mechanically so pick one that you pick up in the middle of the night and just look at because you love it so much

I like the mk25 because of the finish. Both pistol models are very well made. To be honest, your choices are all in personal preference. What do you like… But if you want my personal opinion, I would take the MK 25. I prefer a pistol that his less frills and simplerin nature.

I personally have both of those rifles. But if I was pressed to only having one, I would pick the LWRC all day long. I think that LWRC uses better components and will last longer and perform better. And remember, I say this with a conflicted heart because I am a very big Sig fan.

I was as a hobby shooter in Switzerland as 15 years old. YEAH, you can start that early. My personal gun was military gun converted to civilian semi fire. Basically military was a huge helper for us. Once miltiary had huge stockpile of old ammo that we could shoot for a day. It was awesome. Unfortunately besides shooting range, you arent allowed to use it anywhere else. Great gun, as I was in Florida, a gun guy always asked me if I only shoot AK before, which is pretty similar to SIG 551 or how we call it StGW 90. Great gun, very accurate but kind of heavy. Also pain in the ashenhale to clean it, pretty fast to rust.

If you are trained to use or carry the 4.5 lbs striker fire lbs round in chamber(safely) ,there is no reason whatsoever NOT to use the 4.5 SA only faction. What makes you think that you have to go thru the double action . Just put OR not put one in the chamber cock the gun and after that treat it as any other loaded striker fire. Ok? Forget the DA faction. That is an extra safety if you choose to.You need a Short reset trigger kit OR you can use the Enoch SIG P Series trigger with the short reset built to it.

    • @williamdeforte3032

Slight correction: Estonia never used kalashnikov style weapons during independence. Since it got freedom from the USSR, it mainly used israeli galils and swedish ak4s (which are a swedish derivative of the german g3, unrelated to the kalashnikov family), both of which used NATO standard calibers and ammunition.

The factory trigger is actually adjustable. But it does not come that way from the factory you have to do it yourself and they don't advertise it because soldiers aren't supposed to be messing with that. Take the stock off look above the trigger see that little hex nut. That's your adjustment point. Check out the TnSteyr video on how to adjust it.

Hello, I am a sports shooter and I am French living in France. I just received my Geissele automatics super Duty in 14.5 inches. I am a little disappointed because the thickness of the lower is 1.5 millimeters thick, the thickness of an AK 47. Compare to other brands like Daniel defense or Aero precision, or colt it’s very, very thin. It’s a 2023 model. I saw in youtube other Geissele automatics that are thicker. Do you think that the fact that it is very thin can be a robustness problem? 1.5 millimeters is very, very thin. Do you think I made the right choice? Merci beaucoup. Best regards

The first thing I noticed when I unboxed mine was, "How do I run a sling with this thing?" and the answer is I don't, I can't. To me the LWRC PDW is effectively worthless because it doesn't matter how it can perform if it ties up both of my hands and can never be maintained on my body while my hands do something else. It isn't a serious combat or patrol item, it is a range toy and nothing else. A series combat weapon or patrol weapon would be made so that I can retain it to my body without using my hands so I have hands free to do other tasks such as medical, communications, or going hands on with somebody. If I had known it is impossible to run a sling with the LWRC PDW I wouldn't have bought it. When I contacted LWRC to politely and formally inquire about sling options, they never responded. Is an officer responding to an active killer situation, having to do medical on a fellow officer, honestly going to set his PDW down on the ground to free up his hands? Any police chief worth his salt all require his officers to run slings on their carbines or PDWs. A PDW that cannot accommodate a sling, is basically useless for patrol purposes.

The dovetail on the top isn't just a mounting point for a pic rail. its the recepticle for the brass deflector on the 300m range. Mounting the brass deflector is mandatory because the Stgw 90 yeets brass into the next ZIP code. very annoying in a competition. You can browse in Bloke on the range videos or Swiss fusilier if you want to see more swiss gun culture
