Even the 4 star Dragon Ball that seemed to have no value to Goku anymore after Saiyan saga. The SSJ4 by making Goku become Ozaru again plus controlling that power for good. You could sort of interpret his Exploding Dragon Punch from that one movie as an upgraded version of that attack. Other than that, he seems to low key tap into the power of his Oozaru form when going SSJ3 (at least in the anime), so there's that.
Toriyama did allude in an interview that the tails and the Ozaru form are a bit of a defense mechanism for little Saiyans, and the Saiyans tend to focus more on standard techniques and martial prowess as they age, discarding the uncontrollable Ozaru form and even the tail stops growing back after being cut. I called this out years ago. Good summary. Yeah seems Popo put Goku on a more peaceful, thoughtful path to power.
7th rule of Popo's training, forget everything you learned before Popo's training
Popo's training that was shown was mostly filler.
I was expecting either the mind reading or the Eye blast he used to make a grave for Vegeta. But this also came to my mind.

Goku can canonically read minds and only did it once to literally skim the plot he missed out on.
Goku's telepathy to read minds was also shown basically once and never again after Frieza saga
Goku also demonstrated telepathic abilities when he read Krullin's mind in the Namek arc. He may have shown that during Dragon Ball as well, but I don't recall clearly
Ozaru form with SSJ4 disappeared as they didn't want anything from GT to appear in super lol (except for the non canon main timeline special)
That could be a fun thing to add to future what ifs or a fun fan redesign for Goku's skill set

Forgotten power is an understatement.
There's many 'things' they forgot about.
People forgot about his mind reading ability he used on krillen in the Namek saga to see what had happened during the time he was gone
Good catch! I don't think I would have thought of that. I didn't think much of the Oozaru background back than.
