Oh my goodness that extra pocket is genius! I’m ok not seeing the pattern….just seeing fabric and threads is often enough to trigger my memory of the project.
Hey Nicole! 👋🏻 That’s how I feel too. And right now , in my pocketless vinyl bags, I’m hiding the pattern behind the fabric anyway! 😆 There may be a couple of Charlie Harper bags dropping in the shop next month with the “pattern pocket” feature. 😉
Hi, Kris. Great demonstration. I am a Floss Away bag girl and can’t see myself changing. But since leaving the monogamous stitching world to having numerous projects on the go I struggle with trying to kit up a project and discovering that a floss I need is not in the drawer. I was intrigued to think about your system of master set and working bobbin. I will have to give that some thought and see if it is something I can adapt for me. And I like the idea of the lengths being precut. Are you attending Stitch North this year, spring or fall?
Hey Christine! 👋🏻 You could always try keeping a master set of floss in your Floss Away bags (with the lengths pre cut) and then pull lengths from that and put them in their own set of bags in a kitted project? When you finish a project, you could put any left over lengths of floss back in the master set and then keep the empty bags on hand to kit up the next project. It would mean investing in a few extra Floss Away bags but might make your (stitching) life a little easier. 😄 I will not be attending Stitch North this year. I am planning to attend a couple of smaller events though. Thanks for stopping by. ❤️
Love your storage system. I like the idea of being able to know what floss I have at a glance. The link for the file cabinet goes to a page not found. Are you able to correct the link?
Hi Terry! 👋🏻 It looks like Staples (Canada) no longer carries the 10 drawer cabinets. Sorry about that. I should have checked before posting the video. 😜They do still have the 5 drawer ones which would still hold a full set of DMC flosses. It would just need to sit on a table rather than on the floor. I’ve added a link to that in the description box. Alternatively, the brand “Bisley” does make a 10 drawer cabinet that is the same size as mine. It’s just a bit pricier. I was considering ordering one of those first (before I discovered the Geolong brand) either from Wayfair Canada or The Container Store in the US. You can also find them on Amazon but the prices are a bit inflated or you can order them from the UK where they are made but shipping is pretty steep. Hope that helps. Just let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching and happy organizing! 😄
Hi Pat! 👋🏻 Thanks so much. I actually made the floss keeper myself. I have an Etsy shop where I will list some for sale periodically. There’s a link to the shop in the description box. I don’t have any listed currently but do plan on making some to sell in the near future. If you decide to follow the shop, Etsy will notify you when I do add new items for sale. Thanks so much for watching. 😄
I preload anything that is in PDF into pattern Keeper. That way I know how many stitches of each color which cuts down on floss in locations where it might never be used. Personally, I dislike bobbins and use the hanging system from Unplanned Peacock..
Hey Holly! 👋🏻 I do love Pattern Keeper. I should take the time to learn the “formula” for how many skeins/lengths of floss are required based on stitch counts and start kitting my full coverage projects up that way. Maybe that will be the next evolution of my floss management. 😆 The Unplanned Peacock products look pretty cool. I’d never heard of them before. So much cool stuff out there! Thanks for sharing that with me. Take care and happy stitching! 🧵🪡
Thanks very much. I’ll watch for them and add your shop to my Etsy favorites. Thanks for the inspiration!!
Great video Kris. Happy stitching.
Thanks Wendy! ❤️
Thank you for sharing, this has been very inspiring. 😊
Hi Michele. I appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching. 😄
Love your floss box
Thanks Josephine. I love it too. 🥰
Great video. I am glad you realized that one of thread colours were wrong, because I was sitting there going oh no, oh no.
Thanks Karin. I was going to edit that out but thought it was kind of funny and very true to life so I left it in. 😆 Thanks for watching!
Excellent video. I found your channel a few months ago searching for storage solutions for my threads. This was a great follow-up. Thanks.
Thank you. I appreciate the feedback. 😊 Thanks so much for watching. Take care.
So, so organized! My system is totally different but it works for me.
Love the bag.
Thanks Theresa. That’s what it’s really about though, isn’t it? Finding what works best for you and the way you stitch. 👍🏻😄

@@kraftnkris2999 yes, I am going to pursue that thought. Thanks Kris.

Where do we get the floss keeper that you put the colors in for your projects? I love your entire system.

How many of us were saying 644, 644, 644?
Ha, ha! I know right? I was going to edit it out but thought it was kind of funny. 😆 Thanks for watching. Happy stitching! 🧵🪡
Just a note from a fellow Ontarian, down Windsor way.
Can you tell us what fabric you picked?
Absolutely! It is 32 count Country French Latte by Wichelt. 😄
