I enjoyed this video! I'm also re-kitting up my flosses on one of my projects. I'm transferring them to my usual method - floss tags with braided flosses (I just tried something new if I like it more but nope I'm still in love with my floss tags)
Thanks for the video. There are videos I've seen on youtube for how to easily unwind DMC. Basically, leave the paper on, hold it in your non-dominant hand with the band with the barcode towards your dominant hand. Grab the end that is past the barcode paper (there'll be one end at each end of the skein, if you look inside the loop). Holding the skein loosely, pull on that end only and it will come out nicely. I pull the whole lot out and then put the 2 ends together, fold it in half again and again until it's the right lengths that I like then cut through the end of the loop (or loop onto floss holder and then cut, as you did). This was a really helpful tip for me - hope I explained it clearly!
I just got those scissors for Christmas! lol I was trying to accumulate supplies to try collage quilting and got most the supplies recommended... except for a pattern! ha. When I craft I mainly watch flosstubes or quilting videos or tv/movies. Audiobooks I usually listen to when I work out or do house chores.
23:56 I also worry about my social media accounts. Not necessarily my face but what I say. The military monitors us and our families. It’s also important for me to watch who I subscribe to. For instance, I was following Marromy Crafts and I had to unfollow her and Bendy Stitchy because they both have said pro-Hamas things. The military is taking it very seriously and I don’t want to be labeled a terrorist sympathizer by association. To sum that up, yes, I understand what you mean. :)

Great explanation! Isn't it funny that there's a right way to unwind DMC but it isn't indicated on the actual labels anywhere?
1:28:44 anything that floats my boat at the moment. TV, audiobook, flosstube, just about anything.

I’ve been thinking about trying collage quilting too but I haven’t thought the interfacing yet. Best scissors ever!!

You have more than I do to watch for! It’s interesting to balance wanting to share with considering these things, for sure.
