Cheese & Onion Pasties | pastries

This humble pastie is a classic, serve as a snack or as part of a full meal. Use various cheeses for a change of flavour. If you’d like a bit of a kick maybe use a spicy cheese mix!
Cheese & Onion Pasties
Ingredients: (makes 8)
1 sheet ready rolled puff pastry
2 medium potatoes
Butter
Salt & pepper - to taste
Mature Cheddar
1 large onion
Splash of milk
1 egg - for egg wash

Baking tray
Saucepan
Potato peeler
Chopping board & knife
Small plate
Potato masher
Colander

Nice 👌🏼 do u not use a fork to make some holes in the pasty? I usually do that so that they don't explode!! 😂

Yeah defo a good idea to do that! I think because mine are small they usually don’t but yeah, definitely a good idea to make some steam holes!
