Oh joy! My friend the sun with the man himself. I sing this in the pubs on my acoustic and everyone wants to know where it came from and when I tell them about family they just look blank! No idea what they missed. But thanks roger (and everyone else) for some of the greatest and varied music I have ever heard
Chappo - saw you in Sheffield on the farewell tour in '73 and again in 2014 in Leicester, 41 years later. I've seen loads of bands: Stones, Queen, Floyd, Springsteen, Clash etc. but that show at Sheffield was the finest rock concert ever. Thank you for the music, it means a lot to me.
This was a great concert last year, an excellent tribute to John Wetton, and great performances from both the legendary musicians who performed and the young academy singers who performed on every song, the best bit is at 1:15 though, always makes me laugh, you can see how much they are all enjoying it.
Bobby Tench passed away two weeks ago after a period of illness. I would have been great indeed . You find some clips on YT of Barnes Blues band with Bob.
Just learned this sad news, loved him from Beck thru to Barnes blues.R.I.P. Bobby. Roger sounds as good as ever, a total original, Burlesque is my favourite bass line of all time
Very nice, good to you stll rocking - however I think that the single john wetton b-vox-line on the original family recording was way better than this funny version with so many different singers here. However Family will always be one of my top 5 fav. bands of all time.
with all respect mr. Chapman, loved Family, Streetwalkers, your solowork, and also Burlesque with this band, but this song needs your old voice (if you know what i mean).
Laurie Wisefield, one of the UK’s best rock guitarists.
Family / Streetwalkers / Shortlist etc. - the most amazing music and nobody ever talks about them except devoted fans. Tragic!

Thanks for this, Chappo. Beautiful, human and real, even with the rough edges. Wonderful.
Fantastic, 50 years and Roger still delivers. Thank you, J

So good to see Laurie Wisefield playing. Amazing gifted guitarist.
Whether he can hit the notes or not now doesn’t detract from the fact he has one of the most unique characterful voices of all time.
Die Legende lebt !
One of the greatest shouters ever. 😊
Love you Chappo ! So glad to see you still doing your thing. Regards from Oregon.
It's still there !
Dear Roger, I hope, you feel good, 1000 kisses, best voice ever 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰you look very good!

My favouite Family record!
Burlesque
Mine too.
This, Burlesque and In my own time - all classic reminders of being in my early teens. Thanks for the memories 😊
The greatest!
Beautiful and very inspirational. The song hit home even more when I went through hard times myself.
Always good to hear from Laurie Wisefield. 👍
Beautiful
saw Family play this in Edinburgh 73 or 74, brilliant tune.
How can you not remember which year….?
👍
Pity they did nt bring on Bobby Tench hes an absolute monster singer and guitar player.

Oh, that John Wetton harmony and counterpoint elevates a beautiful song to the realms of the sublime.

We can’t turn back time . But at this age having the ability to play and control his voice , chapeau .
i know, i did not mean it disrespectful. got all your (his) albums, from the start of Family. take care.
Tragic
