Beautiful moment. Chappo was 72 or 73, Geoff afforded himself a wild afro wig because he was a year younger. And here I'm sitting in the Home of the Advanced Aged, ignoring Nurse Nasty: "Mr Barfly, PUT THAT VOLUME DOWN!!! Here are your pills and a clean bib."
Watched them live in Hamburg around 1980 with Mel Collins and Tim Hinkley (Boz on Bass?). They were phantastic back then. Chapo in a white boiler suit. Whitey Whitehorn was part of the band back then, he was so cool, I wanted to be like him. Normally I avoid watching sich acts again much later even on video as it can bring a lot of frustration. But this late issue is just great Whitey is as good as he was back then, I dare say even better and Chapo did not lose much of is voice and charisma. Great footage, I wish I had been there!
I/We saw the great Chappoman at Eric's Liverpool circa '80 can;t know if Whitehorn was there but i did see Crawler, ex Back Street Crawler, with Geoff's guitar filling in for a recently demised Koss at the L'pool Empire and what a great job he did to cover for, what i consider, the greatest blues rock guitarist of all time...contentious i know..
Oh, I've followed them since seeing Chapman with Family at Newcastle City Hall in 1970 (still at school then !) massively underated band, Family. How many singers these days sound as original and one-off as Roger Chapman - or Peter Hammill, another from this era. Todays singers sound churned out by a very poor Chinese factory
Such a beautiful tune...good lord. It’s so fun to play too. I just absolutely love melting my walls with this holding those cot dang vibratos like my name is Geoff Whitehorn 💪🏼 hell ya brother
He would have done some gigs and did earlier this year , but due to the virus it’s all cancelled. Too bad . There are some vids on the Facebook fansites .
Holy CRAP! These guys sound as good as ever! Unbelievable! Geoff Whitehorn's guitar playing is absolutely SUBLIME!☮️❤️🎸
So true!

I saw Chappo a long time ago with family and over the years in Germany. He always gave great concerts. I am a big Roger Chapman fan.
