🇺🇸 Thank you for Stopping by the Huntsman's Channel a While back it was Honest and Respectful to hear You share your Thoughts and Frustrations. I Know things Will Look up for you. Your a Marine, Your Drive and Ambition is Second to None, you DO NOT have quit in you and your an Inspiration for Many, I can Only speak for myself, But You Rock Shawn. Thank you 🤘🇺🇸 🍀
Another great video. Glad to see you are back to Rib Eye steaks, you need your energy. Great idea for this week. Lots of people don’t think about what to do if their car breaks down and how to survive as well as keep safe. Carbon monoxide is A big killer when it comes to people living in their cars when they break down. Your fast build eliminates this possibility. Keep them coming, you do awesome and enjoy all your videos.
I feel that having the vehicle is more realistic to the way most people enjoy the outdoors incorporating the bushcraft skills is a good way to introduce more people to the more primitive part of camping. Plus, there are tons of videos out there of some dude "in the woods" who makes a lean to or sets up a tarp. Corporals Corner is, in my opinion, the most creative of the bushcrafting channels and I would like to see more videos like this. I would also like to see more desert and plains videos if possible.
As usual, another outstanding build reminiscent of the old days when they would 'shelter out' from uncovered or buckboard wagons. Now that I'm working Sunday mornings, I get to enjoy your new videos as soon as you upload them. It makes my day. Thank you very much for the time and effort you put into these videos. It is much appreciated.
Ref: adding value to a life. Watching you while I was trying to survive through copd, a colaspsed lung, a blood clot, cancer and failed therapy, a high dose of steroids, blindness. OH and covid. You were part of what got me through. Alfa fox. And keep it up.
this is your channel man you do what you want with it. I watch the channel (and have for a lot of years now) because i think you have the best shelter builds in the game and i really enjoy you ridiculously dry humor. lol So i am not going anywhere.
I say Overland Bushcraft is here to stay! Great and informative video. Outstanding AF. May I add..... Corporal Nation needs to say our prayers for the 12 USMC & their Doc who were killed at the Kabul airport- RIP Marines..... Semper Fi! DevilDoc8404
Cup of coffee and a new video from the Corporal. No better way to kick off a Sunday, or also celebrate hitting the half century mark. FYI, I received the notification this morning. Cheers sir, will share as always.🤙
Great video Shawn!!! I'm an older man with health challenges that limit my ability to hike extended distances with my full bushcraft or camping kit. So, overlanding/ vehicle camping has become my means of conveyance for me and my gear. I can still search out primitive or semi primitive camp sites that allow me to continue to enjoy practicing and utilizing my bushcraft/ survival skill set by setting up base camp and then hiking around with a minimal belt kit or haversack kit to practice navigation or gathering, etc. I appreciate your continued commitment and contribution to our passion(bushcraft/ survival) and hope to see more videos of this type on your channel, although I of course enjoy all of the content that you endeavor to produce and share with us. Thanks again and keep up the great work.
Idk what the haters say me and my wife live your channel and look fwd to your videos every week. Really like incorporated truck. Great idea. Keep em coming devil dog
Notifications were about 15 min after you posted the vid. Love the use of arbor knots and the prusik knot. A lot of work and years of experience make those bow drills look deceptively easy. Another awesome vid with lots of practical ideas. Outstanding as usual.
Good one! Corporal, you have added considerable quality to my life. Realize what a valuable teacher you are. Carry on! Semper Fi to you and all our brothers and sisters!
I stumbled upon ypur channel 3 weeks maybe a month ago. Since then have watched a ton of your videos. And i absolutely love them, essentially no nonsense or wasted time and some excellent ideas and shelters. Ive heard everything you've said in your more recent videos, about fighting the internet and youtube, getting views and watch time. I can tell you this, i will never skip a second of your videos because i absolutely support what you're doing. I grew up camping with the boy scouts. Through out my 20s i spent alot of time hammock camping with very little gear. There's something about being in the wilderness and using said wilderness to survive that is extremely satisfying. Since finding your channel ive put my 8 year old stepson onto it. Literally 2 minutes into the first video of you he watched, he came running asking when can we go do this?!?!. I have a 2 year old daughter so the past 3 years ive barely made it into the woods. A few day hikes finding geocache's with my son and that's it. The fact that he is now so interested and eager to get into the woods makes my heart smile. And you take a huge part in his want to do that. I don't understand first hand the frustrations of trying to have a youtube channel that is profitable. Time is money, and aside from woods time i can only imagine that you spend endless hours of editing and actually putting your videos together for us to enjoy. Words really cant describe how much i enjoy and appreciate what you do. We live in the world of technology and tomorrow, so many are so quick to forget the past and present. As sad as it is the majority of us live in the world of tomorrow, what comes next and what i need to do to get there. But the fact that i can sit down for 20'30 minutes and watch a video of yours that brings back that feeling of being one with nature is something i will never truely be able to show my gratitude for. I posted here instead of a new video to hopefully show you that the past hasn't been forgotten. I love what you do and you are an inspiration aswell as an amazing teacher I truly hope you continue on and find the path that works best for you. Can't wait to see what the furture has in store, but most importantly thank you for allowing me to live in the moment. It's been a while since ive been able to and it's some serious peace and happiness I've missed these past years.
1st Off Thank For Your Service Sir USMC 🇺🇸. My son is currently active duty 3Rd Marine’s Hawaii. My son and I spent years hunting and camping together but now that he’s serving active duty and far from Texas your channel is an awesome way for him and I to connect and visit talking about your channel and learning new bushcraft techniques, Plus him and I are Huge 3Rd gen 4runner fans!!!
@@recall5811 You're evolving well, I'd say. This information is VERY useful as it applies to my situation. I had to medically retire from the Air Force after 22 years of service due to an unfortunate accident where I broke my back and both of my legs. Permanently injured as they say. Hiking is possible but not very pleasant. This is the kind of thing I can do and it's getting me excited. What you've done and what you're doing is totally awesome.
@@recall5811 Don't worry brother, we all appreciate what you do. I know you have put some really good ideas for builds that I have used here at the house for my greenhouse. Outstanding AF Corporal. Keep em coming DD.
Another great video! And a nice build. Thanks!! Having physical difficulties, this would be a great build for someone in my shape. Simple but effective sleep system!!
Corporal , if during your self reflection you came to the conclusion that you do not bring value ... I m here to tell you that couldn't be more wrong sir . Thanks another outstanding video , can't wait to see what comes next .
Loving it, Corporal! I started watching your videos last year with the lockdowns and you inspired me to get my own kit up and running. I’m just coming of of covid and I’ve been using the time on my back to rewatch a lot of your older videos and getting re-inspired. I’ve even gotten my 23 year old son interested! I’m VERY happy you’re continuing on. Do what you do. That’s why your legions watch.
This one made me happy. That simple. It's good to see you doing what you want, and smiling about it. For what it's worth, you've been enriching and adding value to my life for (you know exactly how long) years. See you later brother!
I respectfully disagree Corporal, your videos add great value to people's lives. It has added great value to mine. I am happy to continue to support you both by viewership, and as a paying client with the products you offer.
Awesome way to incorporate the runningboards of your truck for your bed!!! Love the quick bug out strategy fir a quick getaway!! Love the meal!!! Again awesome AF!
One of the few who encourage/recommend other channels regularly. That speaks volumes. I like the creativity and Use of simple tools and material regardless of where it's done and corporals corner does that consistently.
Awesome bugout bushcrafty idea! I found the four point burner works best for me. More stable for my coffee. But that's just my opinion. Thank you for your time and effort making this video.
I don't care who you are, that is just one badass build!!! In my opinion everything you put out adds value to every one of your loyal followers like my self. Till the next one brother. Strength and Honor!
I've been here with the corporal for about 8 months now. The things you do are inspirational and motivational af. I know at 9am like clockwork every Sunday I'm here liking and supporting you. I'm happy for where your taking the channel and im here to go on this outstanding af journey every Sunday! Thank you for all you do man.
I’m super excited to see the truck build content. I absolutely love 4runners. Some high school friends and I used to put our suvs back to back and camp in them. Remember to turn off the interior lights lol, I learned the hard way.
Outstanding as usual! Have you ever considered doing RUclips Shorts? You give out so much info in your Sunday videos. You could share your little drops of wisdom in some shorts. We, your loyal viewers, could get Cpl. Corner more than just on Sundays.
Great show as always. It's good to see new stuff showing up on the play list. It's a great idea what ur showing....lots of people wind up at times needing these skills when traveling. I just loaded RUclips onto my TV so I can watch corporals corner on the big screen....yup. Living large. Put some crispy bacon on my popcorn !!! As far as the naysayers go....pretend. Love these truck vids, showing new ways of incorporating your truck into your shelter. Do what makes you happy, I'll still watch as long as you keep making these vids.
Keep pushing that content brother,… I’m 43,… I watch every week and I’m teaching my kids from what I learn from what I watch and practice. You’ve definitely added value over here. Hope to take your Pathfinder basic course in the future. I know it’d be a blast ! ,….I love learning ! Looking forward to future bacon , lol.
Daaaaaaaaaamn that was ligit great episode thanks for the entertainment love this channel Corp have a great week and see you on the next one Outstanding AF keep on grinding I'm looking forward to the future of your channel.
Hell of a guy corporal, f the views even though I fully understand the value of that for you. Just remember, enrich and enhance people's lives. These videos do just that and are worth there weight in gold, bacon 🥓 and coffee!
For me personally this is perfect timing. I started doing more and more preemptive camping and now I'm trying to outfit my pickup for overlanding. I cant wait to see the creative future you have planned. I'll be trying some of your camp ideas myself
As always, excellent content. Glad to see you hunting the path that will make you happy. You are spot on with the mission to "add value" to others' lives. You certainly have been doing that, and I see no changes in that regard no matter what kind of content you decided to make.
Thats great stuff. I see these skills coming in handy on a rural or dirt road when a vehicle is broke down and an unscheduled camping trip happens. Stay with your vehicle and have some basic supplies with you. Once again you hit the nail on the head sir. Stay safe.
Like the direction you are going. I've done similar things with rig, mostly with hammocks. I too am a prior service member. You have reminded me of a lot techniques I've forgotten. Keep up the good work.
Using the vehicle's cigarette lighter to get an ember was simply ingenious! So simple, that it can be overlooked. I never would have thought of it, but I don't smoke and don't use my vehicle's lighter. Many people lose their lives when they walk away from their vehicle after getting stuck in the snow, or get stuck overnight on a closed thruway, and then get hypothermia and freeze to death. If people can only remember this video, you may save their lives. I especially loved your talk about adding value to someone's life. You do that.
Brings back memories! 16 to 20 years old camping outside of a 70 Chevy pickup at Rend Lake. We couldn't pitch a tent because we weren't in one of the campgrounds. Pull off the side of the road and throw sleeping bags on the lake side of the truck, fish and camp all night. Driving by, looking from the road, people just thought we pulled off the side to fish.
Few things. 1. The video is outstanding as usual. Love seeing the little improvements to the 4Runner. 2. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say this. I'm here for you, not a particular video style. How ever you choose to evolve your channel or change your content, I'm here for it. I'm not a Marine but, 'semper fidelis' still applies here. "always faithful".
Glad to see you having fun. Don't let the numbers, haters and algorithms get you down. We have a good time when you're having a good time, so do what you think would be fun. You tube has bots and the numbers lie. The real ones still support you. 💪
I haven’t been here from the beginning but I’ve been here a while. I enjoy your content and appreciate all the efforts you put in. Thank you for what you’re doing.
I honestly really like the new style of vids. This was “outstanding”. It incorporates something that I feel more people would be able to relate to or be more apt to use! I think I can speak for all of us day 1 corporal supporters, you always kill it. Keep it up and I’ll / we’ll keep around!
You're right. I've never seen anything like that before. Outstanding. You never fail to disappoint. I'm putting the cigarette lighter/punk wood trick into the bag.
Great job, as always very creative incorporating your truck into the bushcraft build. I think it is very practical and unique way to stay off the ground, covered and comfortable. Not many knots and lashing which I enjoy watching and learning was to secure the logs. I also like that you practice skills like the bow and still provide feedback on products like the burner and upgrades to the truck . Keep looking up, standing tall and ignore the empty negative comments from arm chair quarterbacks. I'm watching every week and doing my part to keep up the views and likes.
As a retired Trucker, I guess I Overlanded a lot. Great video C.C. But I did have a Sleeper Truck. I kept a 2000 watt Honda Gen and based my gear around it's output. I have an electric frying pan, coffee pot, toaster. You could not use it all at once but one at a time. Made a lot of coffee and eggs.
A good look at vehicle bushcraft. Only limited by the price of bacon or gas. Everything else is wide open to your knowledge and imagination! Good stuff!
Outstanding AF imo. Still more than I can do atm, just a few more weeks hopefully. Let your imagination and creativity take you to new places, new heights, and doing things no one else is doing, broaden that experience! Experience more of the world than the most of us get to. Outstanding and looking forward to next week's adventure Mr. / Cpl Kelly. (Preference on Mr. or Cpl?)
Great setup. Once again you have blown my mind with the creativity of a simple build. Great video and keep up the new ideas with overland and bushcraft
I love the idea of "overland" bushcraft. Personally I am limited to near vehicle adventures as i require electrical power at night for my medical equipment(BiPAP and LVAD). Looking forward to new ideas.
I was just thinking the same thing earlier in this video. I can’t sleep and truely rest without my BiPap. Camping close to my pickup gives me a chance to practice all of the skills Shawn had demonstrated. The other option is a portable generator or solar power. I love camping and could survive without a BiPap but would rather have fun, yet still have medical safety.
Appreciate what your doing Shawn, always look forward to your videos. Actually had my first overnighter in a while this weekend, used one of your videos "hang a hammock anywhere" built myself some tripods with a ridge pole to hang my hammock. Best nights sleep I've had in a while, it was outstanding Af, so thank you again. Until next time!
Fukn love this! I recently got my dream Jeep and have been wanting to have some overland fun, you’re ideas are awesome man! Don’t let the RUclips algorithms keep you down and keep you from doing what you love!
Excellent idea you pointed out, that these are skills that could save lives when people get stranded in/with their vehicle. Great reminder to check the vehicle "emergency supplies" as well as review knots and/or other skills one might be "rusty" on! :D Every episode of Corps.Corner provides examples of assessing resources, dealing with weather, and a variety of skills, but this tied it into a situation that ANYONE that drives or travels in a vehicle should be able to relate to. :D It's not "just" about the "back woods folks"! :D Thanks Corporal! :D
Just a comment, since I've subscribed every video has been a teaching video, I'm not a big time survivalist, but if my car broke down I'd be able to survive from what you've tought me. Thanks again for pushing through the BS and making these videos.
If your channel has done anything over the years, it has definitely added value to the lives of your subs. I couldn't count how many tools I've been able put in my proverbial bushcraft and survival toolbox because of this channel.
Just do your thing, Corporal, & ignore the critics whose opinions don't contribute anything of substance. "If you build it, they (your legions) will come..."
What a great use of simple techniques! I thought the use of the wall verticals to minimize the necessary cordage was especially clever. How much cord would you say you used in this build versus, say, one of your other elevated beds? Also, and this is just a me thing, but I love watching you wake up. It's like seeing a happy bear emerge from a good hibernation. Always gets a smile!
My kids and I love to watch your videos. We homeschool and I love to teach them the skills you show. I love the direction your heading and watch all your videos. Dont let know one bring you down. My kids think your funny 😂
Really cool build, would have never thought of doing something like that, definitely looking forward to see how you will utilize your vehicle, keep it up 😁🤙🤙🤙

This one is really awesome. You just keep knocking it out of the park. Please keep them coming. A super huge Thank you for all of your hard work.
Another good one corporal, keep em coming 🙌🏻
Thats great stuff. I see these skills coming in handy on a rural or dirt road when a vehicle is broke down and an unscheduled camping trip happens. Stay with your vehicle and have some basic supplies with you. Once again you hit the nail on the head sir. Stay safe.
Like the direction you are going. I've done similar things with rig, mostly with hammocks. I too am a prior service member. You have reminded me of a lot techniques I've forgotten. Keep up the good work.
‘I’m like a 140 years old’ that made me giggle way to hard lol 😂. Love your vids Cpl, keep them coming.
Cpl you are the man!! Once again another outstanding af build!!! Enjoyed it very much... Keep up the great work bro!! 💥💥👊💥💥
#1 Bush-crafter In My Personal Opinion!!!! Keep up the Great Work Broseph 🤟🏼🇺🇸💪🏼💪🏼
As a “newbe” to your channel all I can say is OUTSTANDING! Thank you for the great training videos.
Another great shelter idea! Improvising is a lost art that might just mean the difference between an inconvenient event and a deadly situation.
Few things.
Also, I love that you’re bringing your 4 runner into your videos
I haven’t been here from the beginning but I’ve been here a while. I enjoy your content and appreciate all the efforts you put in. Thank you for what you’re doing.
I honestly really like the new style of vids. This was “outstanding”. It incorporates something that I feel more people would be able to relate to or be more apt to use! I think I can speak for all of us day 1 corporal supporters, you always kill it. Keep it up and I’ll / we’ll keep around!
Hey, that looks easy! I don’t like sleeping on the ground either, but I didn’t guess how easy it could be.
Another good reason for bushcraft including a vehicle. Is if you find yourself broke down and stranded. God bless
Excellent video showing how to not sleep on the ground especially here in the PNW, we get rain. You are on the road to success. Keep on keeping on.👍
Outstanding af
Lots of people waffle when they talk about how to tie knots . Yours is so simple easy to follow
You're right. I've never seen anything like that before. Outstanding. You never fail to disappoint. I'm putting the cigarette lighter/punk wood trick into the bag.
That is fun Love It keep these coming!
Def love seeing new videos
Bring on the new stuff! I've been a proud af subscriber for many years, and I sure ain't goin' anywhere! Thanks for the great content, every time!
Glad to hear it and rock on. Adapt and overcome. The main thing is that you enjoy it and are having fun. You're definitely an inspiration
That was the best build. Why? Because you built it. Keep up the awesome work. Look forward to your videos every week my friend.
Another outstanding video! I'm learning so much from you. Thank you!
We've all done our own versions, it's all relevant Al. Cheers
Great video, I like where your channel is going. Keep up the good work
Appreciate what your doing Shawn, always look forward to your videos. Actually had my first overnighter in a while this weekend, used one of your videos "hang a hammock anywhere" built myself some tripods with a ridge pole to hang my hammock. Best nights sleep I've had in a while, it was outstanding Af, so thank you again. Until next time!
Outstanding AF
Another awesome af video as usual keep them coming
Shawn, ask for donations for the Bacon fund. This was a fun build and enjoyable how to augment items you use every day into bushcraft.
I really enjoyed the builds over the past year, very much looking forward to this new chapter as well! Awesome job!
Nice, sharp ax! I wonder how you got it that way? Hope 'bout Corporal's take on sharpening axes and knives??
Just a comment, since I've subscribed every video has been a teaching video, I'm not a big time survivalist, but if my car broke down I'd be able to survive from what you've tought me. Thanks again for pushing through the BS and making these videos.
If your channel has done anything over the years, it has definitely added value to the lives of your subs. I couldn't count how many tools I've been able put in my proverbial bushcraft and survival toolbox because of this channel.
this will be great for a overnight fishing trip
Don’t know whether to call you a Bushcraft Engineer or an Overland Architect! Keep doing what you do! Heartfelt sadness for your fellow Marines RIP🙏🏼
Always gets a smile!
truck camping and corn on the cob. Now you're talking my language. yum
My kids and I love to watch your videos. We homeschool and I love to teach them the skills you show. I love the direction your heading and watch all your videos. Dont let know one bring you down. My kids think your funny 😂
Really cool build, would have never thought of doing something like that, definitely looking forward to see how you will utilize your vehicle, keep it up 😁🤙🤙🤙
Thanks!
