Great video Shawn love all videos keep it up! The videos that is. Lol!!! My wife and I enjoy all of the videos 13years counting, and CANNOT WAIT FOR FALL VIDEOS, AND WINTER VIDEOS! YOUR GETTING CLOSE TO A MILLION SUBS GREAT FANS OUT HERE BOSS KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.
I think that falls under construction, and would require some permits that would really be unnecessary for what his channel is about. Just put together several videos and take it from there.
Just my 2 cents. For an extended stay somewhere for a large or extended family or group of individuals that train together, medium to high quality tents might be a better option than building structures from random tarps and such. While a lean to or covered trench might work for a day or two, sturdy tents would a much better bet longervterm, short of building a log cabin or structure similar to what many of the contestants build on the show Alone. A surprising number of those burn down also. Some type of teepee might work also, but I'm not up on those. Finding the materials, plus the man power needed to build multiple sturdy structures, isn't going to be very practical or a good invest in energy and time in many of the senerios where you'd actually need them. Plus if you have to relocate all of your hard work is wasted. That concern about the time and labor to rebuild elsewhere might even cause your group to stay in a questionable location long enough to be dangerous. Adult couples need privacy long term, as do teens, especially if you have teens of different genders. Everyone needs a little elbow room and space to store their gear. Rather than trying to reinvent the wheel, look at what the First Americans used, trappers, miners, and hunters on extended hunts and safaris use. They pretty much all use sturdy tents or a form of tent (teepee?).
You asked for comments I'll give you a comment. I found this Channel about a week ago. Since then I have watched upwards of 40 videos. They are unbelievably superb showing, in my opinion, the true nature of survival and survival shelters. The Excellence and quality of your videos are unsurpassed in what I have seen on RUclips. Found your page while I was home recouping from CoVid, ( Caught it in early June, was in hospital until mid-August, then stuck at home on O2 until mid-November).and binge-watched for a few days. Thoroughly enjoyed them all; great content, practical application, good real-people food, and Marine humor. What more do you need? Gotta thank you - been stressing over what to get my newly-teenaged grandson for Christmas. My son makes 10X what I do, and I can't spend at his level. But when I ran across this cantilevered floating bed frame, it hit me: Put together a bug-out bag ( Can't call it that around my daughter-in-law) for him and take him out for a day or 2, build a couple of these, show him that you don't have to have high-$ gear to stay safe and still have fun, eat some good fire-cooked grub, and just generally chill and bond. What a unique build, totally loved it! I can see how something like that would be great in an area that is shorter on a good wood supply. The canvas bed looks very comfortable and again uses a relatively small amount of wood. If nothing else its a really efficient way to use local resources without depleting the supply. Thank you again for showing us something I had no idea was even possible!
Outstanding AF on continuing to educate yourself. Some people stop going to school or feel once they reach a certain age they can't learn new things. In my opinion, people can always learn and make their live and their family's life better.

Just like that, another week goes by and another awesome shelter build from the Corporal. Thanks man for all the bush engineering ideas. Thank you as a fellow vet for all you have done and are continuing to do for our country.
When I go camping I always bring a fifth of Ever Clear ( 190 proff ) I use it for a fire, cuts, and in my alcohol stove and sometimes in me. I would like to see you try it sometime, as always. N Joy corporal I
Nice twist that was pretty cool. How about a Gilligan's island hut complete with chair desk and bed. Seriously long long term project. Thanks once again for these videos and dam hard work
Nice dry shelter. FWIW, those cheap crap "emergency blankets" while being truly shitty blankets. are pretty good heat reflectors for a fire. Just don' get them too close - they melt. I want to thank you, explicitly for reintroducing me to pull tape. I used it decades ago when I worked for phone company, hadn't thought about it for at least 20 years. Glad to know it's still around and has non-cable pulling uses.
A someone who wild camps, which is illegal in most of England, it would be interesting if you could do some videos on stealthy shelters and concealment, you have probably covered it, but also mention places not to camp, for example Beech Trees in the UK are prone to suddenly drop large branches!!
In the last 2 weeks, I have learned more from you in order to teach my scouts than in the last few years on RUclips. Great Job! Told my scouts we had to leave on time from our campout this weekend since I didn't want to miss this week's episode. We used your techniques this weekend with great success. Thanks for all you do.
Congratulations on enrolling in your anthropology degree program. I took some courses in anthropology while attending Rhodes College (then called Southwestern st Memphis) in Memphis, Tennessee. Have you visited the serpent mounds in Ohio? If you are ever in New York State, perhaps on your way to the Adirondaks, you might want to stop at the Penn Yann fossil fields.
Honestly this would be awesome. I'm wondering if it might be similar to his improvised fighting hole in a tree root hole. The one with the built in fireplace? That thing was mostly underground and had heat, so could be fairly well camouflaged with minimal effort, and would leave most of the build up for early warning systems and diversions. I'm thinking along the lines of hiding and evading though, not so much stand your ground and fight. Either philosophy would be cool to see though!
That bed is slick. The difference between genius and insane is success. Any clues on when that bed sack will be available? Congratulations on furthering your education 👍
Congrats on your decision to complete your anthropology degree. Salute to a life-long learner! Hopefully that translates into even more great content on your channel.
Hey Corporal, newbie issue: I can't stop rusting my knives. I'm in humid wet areas and can't seem to wipe my blads enough to keep them dry. My sheath gets wet and my blade gets wet and next time I go to use them-- new orange paint job.... help?
Always called that the “Spanish windless” good for closing leg clamps and caps when you know the dive tender isn’t going to find a come a long, or send you a working come a long. Also with straps makes an excellent recovery option for your off road adventures or overland mis adventures. Good video, corporal, has lots of applications across a variety of fields.
Outstanding! Tarp weights!! Idea # 86, stolen, fair and square. Yoda, keep churning out the builds and I’ll keep payin’ attention. Keep up the great work!
I got to admit that the photo looked kinda sketchy, especially that prison-bar spacing on the sleeping platform... I was not surprised to see the modifications that you used to make it outstanding AF! Chow was great, as always. Keep teaching, good man; you have eager students who always want to learn more (kinda like Odin, in his eternal quest for knowledge). Rock on, "Like a Corporal!"

Just like that, another week goes by and another awesome shelter build from the Corporal. Thanks man for all the bush engineering ideas. Thank you as a fellow vet for all you have done and are continuing to do for our country.
Perfect ! Just brilliantly done - love the detail in all aspects of tonight's show.
Thank you Sir 😊💫
As usual... Outstanding A.F. Another 1 for the book. You are now officially my favorite channel!
When I go camping I always bring a fifth of Ever Clear ( 190 proff ) I use it for a fire, cuts, and in my alcohol stove and sometimes in me. I would like to see you try it sometime, as always. N Joy corporal I
Great idea. Especially for a permanent camp and build in an option to pivot the bed up and fold away.
"Outstanding" I'm really starting to get into some of these builds, you did a great job with this one.
Definitely a meal I've cooked many times at home and in deer camp. It's warm, it's filling, of course delicious, and its simple
A someone who wild camps, which is illegal in most of England, it would be interesting if you could do some videos on stealthy shelters and concealment, you have probably covered it, but also mention places not to camp, for example Beech Trees in the UK are prone to suddenly drop large branches!!
You are truly AMAZING !! Best of luck w/ completing requirements for your degree
Always excited to see what corporal’s gonna cook
What kind of seasoning was that? Not gonna lie, that looks really, really good!
I would love to revisit some of your old shelters.....I have so many memories of your older shelters...love all your videos!
Very nice, this would be great for places that have the venomous snakes running around, the last place ya wanna be is on ground lol
Your temporary shelters are always good ones. Out of the elements, top and bottom, smart shelters.
Can't wait!,three days I will be ordering the corporal Kelley camp and trail knife from Pathfinder knife store.
Dude you are awesome A F.
good luck
I love watching Corporals Corner weekly. Thank you for doing what you do!
I agree I'd like to see you build for a survival situation long term maybe even with some defensive measures considered.
This channel is about BUSHCRAFT, what YOU do with the knowledge is up to you. Just remember to make a video for the rest of us.😀
The wood u cut is straighter than any 2x4
I can buy at Lowes. Love your videos.
That bed is slick. The difference between genius and insane is success. Any clues on when that bed sack will be available?
Congratulations on furthering your education 👍
Sorry. You answered my question at the end. I got excited because that bag makes more sense to me than a trash bag.
My sheath gets wet and my blade gets wet and next time I go to use them-- new orange paint job.... help?
oil the blade and sheath , high carbon steel knives will rust if you dont , or you can get a stainless steel knife
Cool take on the suspended bed.
As usual, thanks for sharing these builds!
Valuable, step by step diy information on this channel. Hope it's around for many more years. Thank you
