I was so lucky to get to see Pantera while doing the far beyond driven tour. Waz awesome. They were touring with Sepultura and White Zombie. Was best show ever
I love the way he fronts the songs... his so subliminal with his messages... that performance for me was about... the legend of the crusifixion... YEAHHHHh!
Greatest Metal band of all time. Well maybe not the "greatest" but definetely the best. Pantera was the peak of Metal music. Now its just... well its just sad..
The crowds in Asia are always very enthusiastic and energetic, same thing too from what I've seen in South America. I guess it's because they're excited to see performers from all the way away in the U.S.
I saw Pantera at least 5 times. I had the chance to , meet them in Poughkeepsie, ny. I was wearing a ht Phil tossed out into the crowd at world stage in Spring Valley, Darrel noticed the hat in the parking lot. My buddy & I hung with the band in there tour buss as they prepped for the show. We walked in with the band through back stage. Was one great time, and Darrel was a nut. Great musicians.. Good times. Wish he was still around, and would love to hear what they would be sounding like today!
yes, yes..you are 100% right.. I have seen that setup as well..I never knew he had two sets of pedals up there in case he wanted to take over..that's cool.. thanks for the info.!!!
dimes such a good guitar player i like the funny screatch.the spagetti harmonic solo is some crazy harmonic style by great dime,he was one of the few who could make the guitar scream the highest he was specialized in morphing harmonic etc.
Saw this tour never knowing it would the last one. Still remember Phil who already looked like Charles Manson yell to some in rhe crowd that he liked his shirt with Manson's image and said someone took off with it and it immediately was thrown to him and heput it much to approval of the crowed. Saw them 3 times and all the shows were an exterme metal adrenilized experience. Gone are those days but the CFH live forever in their music videos .🤘🎸🥁🎤🎛️ RIP DIME 🎸 AND 🥁 VINNIE CFH FOREVER!!!!! GETCHA PULL!!!!!
This is his "Reinventing the steel guitar", as it's called be his guitar tech. I'd say this is a Washburn Custom modelled after the Washburn ST3, which is Dime's signature. The ST3s were usually black with silver bevels and no inlays. This one obviously has stuff added to it, so it's most likely a factory custom. There's also the ST2s on the market. Bolt on with dot inlays. Pretty damn rare
this and matter of time by hell ya r prolly my favorite drum tracks of all time, vinny is the shit and a stand out drummer. he also has like the best tone of any drumer ive ever heard on an album
It's funny listening to what kids these days call "heavy". THIS is heavy!!! 3 time veteran of the pit at Pantera shows, present! God damn, I miss him. Dime lives on... everytime we turn his music up and lift a chin, he lives. R.I.P., Bro.... you are sorely missed.
Your lucky, I had the opportunity to see Dimebag and Vinnie when they were Damage Plan 2 months before Dime was killed, but something came up. I will regret it for the rest of my life not being able to see Dime at least once live in concert.
I love this video, pantera is legendary. i got a laugh out of this when the band stops to let the crowd sing along, but the don't speak english. so the whole room goes dead. funny!
Although his voice may be a bit fucked whatever i think for this song i like it because it makes the song sound darker and heavier...Pantera fucking ROCK....
@viggianidesign dude, your freakin lucky. i didn't start listening to heavier music till around the year dime died. now he's my favorite guitarist and i'll never get the chance to see him.
This phil was scarier than the undertaker
Phil is a fucking demon
Phil is the undertaker's undertaker
i Agree!!!!
666.42069% correct!!!
That “RRRGH!” He does at 1:09 is so chilling
Still love how they ended with the Throes of rejection riff instead of the becoming riff shit sounded so beautiful

The things I would do to just see them perform 1 song

I’d give my life up to bring Dimebag back
Bro I saw them like 6-8 times. Insane shows. I was born in 1978 so it was my prime time listening to good music.
I would give both testicles, but then would have nothing to hold onto when I go see them.
I hope you're planning to see them in 2023 bc they're playing really good right now

Man what a performance. I'd have to say that Rex Brown is the coolest bass player in metal. He makes it look so effortless.
one of the greatest Pantera songs! Thanks a million for posting this:-)
man imagine they were all still jamming together
and now Vince is gone
18 years ago!!! Holy Shi! Two years after I graduated.
I saw Pantera open up for Skidrow (slave to the grind tour). What a show. Very memorable
Pantera are one of the only bands that have more views on their live version than on their studio one. RIP Dime.
Meanwhile in a parallel universe Hamtera was performing Baconing.
Lol baconing off their album far beyond brisket

Phil looked realy cool in those times...sadly, this is the same time when his drug addiction was at its worst...
Actually it was worst when he was with Superjoint.... Seen them in Detroit and he was an absolute mess, but, its all good
I had the pleasure of seeing them 6 times and they were never anything short of amazing!!!!! Fucking most insane guitar work ever!!!
Lucky enough to see these guys live.....yeah.....brutal.
