I agree 100%. I wasn't expecting him to sound this good with Pantera. You can't go by these crappy quality videos. I saw them live & Charlie sounded the best out of the group. It was even more impressive because it was unexpected. Everyone knows Zack is great & you always expect him to sound great. I was really surprised to see Charlie steal the show. He absolutely killed it. I would love to see them again. I hope they do another tour.
This show was my first time seeing Pantera and Metallica in person. They were fantastic. By the end of it all I was stunned and overwhelmed. Can't wait to see the bands play live again.
They sound great. I saw them in Osaka very early on and they've only gotten better. SO happy for Rex who was just sandwiched in the controversy and everything and finally gets what he worked for all those years
I'm seeing them play here in the UK on their first headline arena tour, I can't wait, I last saw them on the Goddamn electric tour and Phil was completely out of it, so to see him fit and healthy and sounding good with a band this good behind him will be a complete treat
The entire album kicks ass but the second half of the track list is far superior to the more commercially viable first half - with the exception of good friends and a bottle of pills. That’s one is not for the radio.

The difference is none of those "millions " of guitar players are conditioned to play a long tour, is already a famous guitarist with their own fanbase, has the respect of their metal peers, who was good friends with Dime, and could capture the essence of his playing, even if it's not note for note. A person may have one or two of those things, but not the whole package, and not the backing of the Abbott estate. It's not always about the technical aspects of playing. This version of Pantera still has to gel. It still has to get fans excited, because they know the love these guys for each other. So, it's not just a gig, but a tribute from people that were friends. And it can't feel phoned in.
It is not an official video and the sound quality is disappointing, but it is enough to feel the atmosphere of the scene. Great video. Thank you for your hard work!
At least Phil sounds Phenomenal!!! And the rest just play the part just fine!!! Keep that Pantera spirit alive as long as you can!!! A lot of us got stripped of these chances!!!!😊

No one ever gives credit to the pitch shifting assistance in this song haha! There is an extra member during this song every time live since the dime days. Even other famous rockers have been invited to the whammy pedal for the pitch shift effect here.
God, I wish so badly I could’ve been there on Friday to see this. Sunday’s setlist with Pantera opening would’ve been the ultimate. Having seen the two setlists, I’m definitely happy with the one I saw. But I’ll take Pantera over Five Finger Death Punch ten times out of ten.
Ummm....they haven't always been good friends or professionals with eachother. (Pantera dominated them whilst on tour, every night) caused alot of problems through the 90s and into early 2000's. Alot of egos at play. Good to see they've not grinded that axe in a long time) 😂

You couldn't ask for a cooling group to cover the original crew.. but damn isn't it amazing that no matter how great the musicians are, they just don't sound like Dime + Vinnie? Those guys had something u just can't copy.
There are so many leads he’d have to learn in a short amount of time. Even for someone like Zakk it would take a long time for him to be able to perform Dimes solos like him. The guys you see online that are fairly close to Dimes feel have been playing his leads for YEARS and still can’t get it exact. Give him a break.
Parking, parking, parking. The traffic situation was horrendous. And...they held the crowd for a good 90 minutes because of rain/lightning, so by the time Pantera was ready to hit the stage, they re-opened the doors and people were still flowing in.
There were pre-set kits for the opening band - Ice Nine Kills didn't play because of the weather, so they left it there until after Pantera and took them both down at the same time.
