Hey Steve, I live in Wales, UK, and a friend emailed me about your channel last week and I've been addicted to your videos since. I've been trying to find the right words, because I'm not someone who has ever enjoyed camping, or been interested in it so I had to do some internal assessment as to why I'm absolutely addicted to your videos. When watching I find myself fascinated, yet also relaxed, taken away from the politics and anxiety that is found everywhere right now. There's so many elements I love, firstly the concept is cool, and the random and crazy places you setup in are fascinating. But, what really makes these videos, aside from the professional and excellent videography, is you. You're genuine, devoid of agenda and politics and this is so refreshing especially in these current times; Steve what you're doing is all round awesome, thank you.
I think for me is I wish I could be out there with him . My dad took us camping every summer it wasn’t nothing like how Steve does it we didn’t rough it but I’ve always loved it . And in time I’m planning on buying me a van and turn it into a home on wheels and go traveling
honestly, if you live in the US or Canada, going car camping (like front country camping) is an easy way to get into it. Basically park your car, and set up a tent near it. No lugging stuff around and generally have access to a washroom of some kind (pit, flushing, or something) and water. The camp site will probably even sell fire wood.
I know Steve was disappointed he couldn't get some camping and content done in BC, but honestly, just hanging out on his property and cooking on a roasting hot fire is fantastic to me.

Hello,my name is Randall Pearcy and I'm a double amputee and can't wait till Thursdays roll around so I can watch the youtube videos. I had help loading up some boxes and bags full of food and supplies and carried it to a battered women's shelter in Richmond, Ky called Hope's Wings! It done my heart good and I know it will be put to good use. I usually donate to Habitat for Humanity but this place is new and there are a couple children there and it just breaks my heart. Steve reminds me of myself back when I could get around good. Never take it for granted!! Merry Christmas to you and your family....(beautiful wife and crazy neighbor)🎄🎄🎄 PS people in the lower 48 enjoy your videos too! "Be safe"
Great film Steve! I love campfire meals even if they do look pre-digested! I love the call for donations to local charities!Good man! The family and I made care packages for a local shelter and dropped em off today. P.S. I had no clue that NoName made beer… amazing! Stay healthy, stay strong and stay you!
Thank for these videos, Steve. I recently found your channel and it has been my saving grace from a particularly stressful holiday season. I also feel better cracking a step 2 with you, keep up the good work.
Nothing better than watching Steve start to cook a meal on a roaring bonfire! The "burnt the hair off of the knuckles" comment made my evening! Thanks for taking me along to camp in the snow!
Honestly, if you and crazy neighbor did 399 videos of camping in the snow I may be thinking, "I sure hope the next one is a little different" and even if it wasn't, I would still watch. This was super fun, thanks!! -Rhonda
Finally getting a chance to watch this video. I do believe that Steve and Crazy Neighbor have enjoyed quite a few Step 2’s!! A bit of struggle preparing dinner. Love these guys!
I enjoyed you and Crazy Neighbor having relaxing evening. I would LOVE to see multi-day camping videos! I have to admit that I am not a camper, and I would love to know what you do when you aren't setting up, breaking down, cooking or sleeping. Thanks!
Activity-wise there's always fishing, hunting, trapping. Foraging, wood-gathering, organizing. There's almost always some little thing you could do to improve your comfort. But honestly, just doing absolutely nothing is kinda a big draw to this activity. Sitting, staring, poking a fire, talking about nothing. All depends what you're into.
It's all good Steve ! You and crazy neighbor are like brothers ,you taking good care of him ! Love you guys , thank you for the adventures! AND GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!
You always apologize for videos like these but they are some of my favorite. I started watching your channel when you were on your 8 week class staying in the old ice fishing tent. Obviously the stealth camps are great, but the stress-free, just enjoying camping type of videos are so relaxing to watch.
I barely enjoy camping but I LOVE your videos :). It's your positivity, in situations most people would consider miserable (camping in the rain, or freezing temperatures), you're all smiles and like "doesn't get much better than this!". You're a glass half full kindof guy, it's inspiring. I'd love to have a step2 with you, thanks for the entertainment!
Shepherd's pie is with lamb, cottage pie is with beef. Always good fun with crazy neighbour & he doesn't try to take over, just goes along with Steve, which is great. 🇬🇧
This comment really pertains to one of your videos about a year ago, where you mentioned getting negative comments breaking you down. You have way more people in support of you than the haters ever will. People ask why would anyone leave mean comments? Well it is so much easier to tear something down than to build something up. You keep doing what you do and thicken that skin, you have setup mental real estate for free in these haters minds same as you setup camp sites for free.😎
Bahaha “not as offensive as its price point would suggest”. I haven’t had the no name beer, but that sounds like as good a review as one would expect! All hail the Weston family.
Couple tips on your dutch oven cooking... Rotate the oven 180* every so often. And put coals on top of the lid. When you rotate the oven, rotate the lid 180* too. That way it'll even out the heat as you're baking.
Steve you should get one of those thermoelectric fans that sit on top of a wood stove. With a minor modification, (grind out a slot in the base) it will slide right into and sit securely on top of the grate of your buddy heater. When that fans kicks on ... it's now blowing hot air. Game changer. Cheers !
Well, I have always wanted to snowshoe since my stint in Vermont. As an aside, let me tell you how much I appreciate how structured all of your vids are content wise. I always know what to expect. A good intro, set-up, step two, dinner, kudos, wake up and wrap up. It’s well planned and not just a bunch of off the cuff stuff without direction, so thank you!

I love his survival skills, he just adds the whole bag of whatever he’s cooking with into a pot! Solid!
Love every video you put out Steve. Always nice to see Crazy Neighbor along for the trip! Keep having fun!
You guys are the best! Crazy Neighbor is always a joy to have along the adventure. Never stop Steve, whether its stealth camping or just car camping, I'm here for it.
When Crazy Neighbor goes along, you know it's going to be a great episode! More Crazy Neighbor, please!
Camping with Steve is always a good time .
Thanks for ALL the videos!
And I guess I’ll add a little cheese “dumps whole bag” this is why I watch Steve, absolute legend
Haha! I loved that part too
lol same exact thought went through my head
Loved it, two lads camping and having fun. Great channel, from Ireland
Any video where you and crazy neighbor are having fun im happy to watch. Your videos are relaxing so really as long as you're doing something outside I'm probably gonna watch.
I love the videos with crazy neighbour. He's great at keeping quiet when needed and piping in at the right time! A great duo. Keep them coming Steve, been watching your videos for a few months now and you're clearly a good man x
When you’re up late on a Thursday night in the UK, but see that Steve’s uploaded a new video!
Sleep can wait a bit longer 😊
Always a treat to see the uploads pop up - cheers to you & CN ✋😀🤚
Just got home from a late shift and got this waiting for me, result.....!!
me right now
Hi late night UK viewers from an ex-UKer.
I like when Crazy Neighbor joins Steve, because it makes the amount of food he prepares look slightly less ridiculous.
It is nice to have company with you on your adventures!!
Merry Christmas to you and your family....(beautiful wife and crazy neighbor)🎄🎄🎄
PS people in the lower 48 enjoy your videos too! "Be safe"
From a woman who had to use such a shelter, once upon a time, thank you.
I love how camping with Steve always involves a 37 pound propane tank... even when it's a hike-in spot.
Crazy neighbour seems like a true buddy. Steve is blessed to have friends like him.
“Get a little cheese in here…” promptly puts in the whole pack. Lol love your cooking lol Gordon Ramsey has nothing over you lol 😂
I scrolled for this comment!
I was just going to say this too lol. 😂 Steve needs a shirt that says that..
Steve needs to stealth camp in a downtown Nativity scene. Would be hilarious and epic.
Yes!!!
Epic. Step Two.
He should hide in plain sight in the nativity. Hunker down as baby Jesus. It’s so obvious no one would notice.
Sounds funny but someone will feel insulted and cancel him.
haha
Thank for these videos, Steve. I recently found your channel and it has been my saving grace from a particularly stressful holiday season. I also feel better cracking a step 2 with you, keep up the good work.
It doesn't get much better than this, great to see you and Crazy Neighbour back together again
You know that shepherds look after sheep, right? I think you made a 'Steve; version of Cottage Pie. Shepherds Pie has lamb . Great job as always 👍
I scrolled down the comments just to agree with this comment.
Nothing better than watching Steve start to cook a meal on a roaring bonfire! The "burnt the hair off of the knuckles" comment made my evening! Thanks for taking me along to camp in the snow!
Is it really camping if you haven't burned all the hair off of your hands?
Honestly, if you and crazy neighbor did 399 videos of camping in the snow I may be thinking, "I sure hope the next one is a little different" and even if it wasn't, I would still watch. This was super fun, thanks!! -Rhonda
Finally getting a chance to watch this video. I do believe that Steve and Crazy Neighbor have enjoyed quite a few Step 2’s!! A bit of struggle preparing dinner. Love these guys!
I’ve always loved your ice shanty winter camping. I loved your old videos when you used the wood burning stove. So this was a nice blast from the past
Camping with Steve always looks so cozy.
You know its your raw videos like this that keep me coming back week after week. Just givin er and I love it. Keep up the great work !
It's all good Steve ! You and crazy neighbor are like brothers ,you taking good care of him ! Love you guys , thank you for the adventures! AND GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!
Only Steve would cut up an onion on a paper plate. Can't wait to see the pepper grinder. Love Thursday nights with Steve and CN.
I kept picturing that knife going through the paper plate and into his leg! Eek!
Same here.
and it's an utility knife
Looks like a light duty plastic plate. I can't see a paper plate standing up to that sort of slicing action!
You always apologize for videos like these but they are some of my favorite. I started watching your channel when you were on your 8 week class staying in the old ice fishing tent. Obviously the stealth camps are great, but the stress-free, just enjoying camping type of videos are so relaxing to watch.
Really enjoyed this video. It wasn’t flashy but it was as earnest and relaxing as all the others I’ve seen. Steve is the man
Heck yeah he is i love Steve's videos
Always makes my bed feel that much warmer watching your videos. I like the step 2 and the cooking parts.
By some strange coincidence I am cooking Shepard's pie as I watch this video. Always entertaining, Thanks Steve and Crazy Neighbor!
Very cool!
Shepherd's pie is with lamb, cottage pie is with beef. Always good fun with crazy neighbour & he doesn't try to take over, just goes along with Steve, which is great. 🇬🇧
It was a good one; missed you for so many days/weeks! Squeaking snow and crackling fire counts for camping with Steve.
doesn`t matter where he`s at,
as long as we get our fix of ``Hunker Down`` !
I still like watching your at home content! Nothing is better than camping on your own land!
Hey Steve, you really are an inspiration. keep it up. this may be as generic as comments get, but it is from the heart. Keep on hunkering down
Bahaha “not as offensive as its price point would suggest”.
I love when Steve and CN giggle like little boys on a sleepover. Looks cozy, guys. Right on!
😂🤣
this was wonderful you seem to think it was not. we just enjoy you two. no stress. all good
I like the stealth camping but this is old school Steve here! I like it as well!!!
Crazy Neighbor eating with that scrap of cardboard! Hilarious! Reminds me of my own shenanigans with my friends. You both seem like some fun guys.
Hey Steve and Crazy Neighbor! Great to see you both. Happy holidays to y'all from Alabama.
I don't know why this episode really had me laughing in a good way I thought it was a fine episode!
