I use my photos that I take on my phone, run them through some apps, again on the phone, to make them into either mandalas or just something abstract and then use them as my new source images. And also like you mentioned I will use a digital painting/drawing that I make on the computer as source images too!
Looking forward to the series! I have used my own art for source images, and it's been super rewarding! I've used my neurographic drawings - some with color and some without (get some NICE black and white patterns with that!), and some simple abstract drawings with color. It's a lot of fun! Looking forward to learning more!
Sounds like fun. I use my drawings, paintings, collage and gel prints, also images that I have created in NightCafe AI software to make my Repper Patterns. So Much Fun, so little time.
Thanks for the suggestions. Never considered gel prints, seems cool! Also never tried NightCafe AI. Thanks for sharing something new and cool to play around with. :-)

Thanks Karen. That's a nice way to do it. We'll have a video about that soon. ;-)

Never heard of neurotrophic drawings. Have to say this looks like an amazing style for creating patterns from. Thanks for the suggestion! :-)
I use photos of my garden 🌿🌼🌸
Great idea! Also closeups of plants and flowers work great. Have fun! :-)
