Great video. My frustration comes when I want to create a surface repeatable pattern fron the beginning. But what I created does not work. Please do a video called.. create a seamless pattern everything video from the start! This way I will always end up with the seamless pattern I want every time. I love Repper.

Thank you for the info, I tend to jump into things without researching first, so my patterns although nice were small when I downloaded them, as my repeat and resolution weren't set properly. This helps, thanks again for the great info

In that case, definitely check out the blogpost in the description about image resolution throughout the design process in Repper!

I would love to have the option to export the 3D preview as a short rotating video. I think that would be awesome.

That would be cool! I will suggest it to the Repper team. I can't guarantee if they would develop it as I do think that's a complex feature to make and we're a small team with limited resources and a big wish list. But definitely a cool idea and thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the video. For some of the pattern types I like to rotate them but I noticed that when I go to export it doesn’t export the rotated version. Would love that as a feature. Also being able to lock the ratio for end tile result. I like to work with square patterns so to have it pre select the area that would allow for a square ratio tile export.

Thanks for your input, @LemonPaperLab! Regarding square patterns, there are 3 types to think off:
      1. Some tilings ALWAYS result in square pattern tiles, like the Cross (P4M).
      2. Some tilings NEVER result in square pattern tiles, simply because of the geometry of the tiling, like the Honeycomb (P6M). (detail: some tilings has a whole number aspect ratio, like the 3:1 Ladder tiling, and so you can export that one for instance as a square surface with 1x3 repeat)
      3. Some tilings have a flexible aspect ratio and these result in square pattern tiles only for a selection area with a specific aspect ratio (often square too, but not necessarily). Indeed for this case we don't have an easy way to force a square output.

      Regarding exporting patterns with rotation:
TILE export: We will always export your tile without rotation, because otherwise it would no longer be tileable. The idea of the tile export is that you will repeat the tile in other graphics software or product service UIs, and so it needs to be repeatable as a block horizontally and vertically. The software you do this in may support rotation.
SURFACE and 3D export: These will take your rotation in account

Great video. I have a question. Does Repper use AI to create patterns?
Amazon now asks to declare whether AI is used to create KDP coloring pages/books that we publish on Amazon KDP. I plan to create coloring pages with Repper. So please let us know......

Hi @mukundguruji, Repper uses no AI technology to generate patterns, so you can safely use it on any publishing platforms that don't allow or require you to specify the AI tech used. Of course, if you use AI-generated images as your source material, you would have to flag that with them.

what a shame you can't repeat for example a pic of a bird, the whole bird.
