very well said. but i always pity his talents were not materialized and shine through at world stage because he stay with one second tier club his whole career. he is the most complete football player i'v ever seen and he deserves much much much more recognition
I’m English and a West Ham fan for me Totti is a one of a kind there will never been another, I found him in the 02 World Cup and my fav player ever since and I’m 28 so missed lots
Totti as a striker was excellent. Totti as a #10 (first half of his career, before turning 30) was otherworldly, he could create chances with extreme confidence and entertain crowds like a gladiator in the arena. I actually enjoyed that part of his career more, he took more responsibilities and appeared unfazed by them. Euro 2000 was his peak for the national team.
About Totti and adaptibility... Yes, he never played for another club. But he proved his adaptibility in another way. By being able to play in many different systems under different managers. On several positions. Left winger, second striker, false nine, attacking midfielder...
Truthfully, I remember when I was discovering football as a sport seeing a picture of him in a football equipment magazine and he had this passionate look on his face. Like if his heart could burst out of his chest because he loved what he was doing. I liked him from the off, and the more I learned about him, the more I respected him. 10/10 player all around for me.
actually Aldair never wanted to be captain in the 1st place, he was basically forced to be captain after Balbo left so he gave it away as quickly as he could (if i remember correctly he was only captain for 1-2months)
Totti, Del Piero, Baggio, Mancini . People say Italian football is defensive they haven’t half produced some of the most technically gifted 10s going. Totti was a genius
As always Italian players are underrated and under appreciated. If Totti was of a diff nationality he would be considered a 🐐. He was that amazing. I miss watching him play
Totti is mostly famous for being THE one club legend but really he was also such a good player. every time I want to cry,I just watch Totti's retirement😢 Love your videos BTW can you make a video on Tony Adams aka Mr arsenal. Also another one club legend who is now immortalized outside the Emirates stadium in bronze.🙏🙏🙏
And in loyalty, modesty, leading by example, every decent human being gives Totti the value of the very highest number ever mentioned in our world thus far. He remained with his Roma, giving joy to his fans and denying himself the chances for a better, more glorious career. And I'm sure, this is the example of a great human being. Totti stands as one of the best among thousands of footballers in generations, and as an extraordinary man among billions of us. From a Die-heart AC MILAN fan, Imenso, Francesco Totti!
The blood of the Roman emperors flows in his veins ! After Totti, many other players pick favorites club before money and Totti show all world how one big love dont have a price...legend of Rome
Great video. Well done. Totti is a legend. Credit to him for showing such loyalty to his team. I disagree with the going to another team. Forget the rankings. Football, at it's best is art.
Totti was and still is the ultimate traditional number 10 .. a playmaker second to none .. and on top of that when he got played as a striker he still scored an absurd amount of goals
Here in Rome we belive he got an extra eye on the back on his head. He already knows were to send the ball far before he had it.. and he 's passing was so brilliant and precise that he has absolutly no rival in the whole world on this. No one was like him on top of he's form. GRAZIE CAPITANO!
One of the greats of the game. Loyal son of Rome. The number of big clubs after him and he turned them down. I remember even in Football Manager, couldn't prise him away from ROMA no matter what. Was glad he was part of Italy winning the World Cup in 2006.
The most complete player of all time. Vision, one touch passing, backheel, short pass, long pass, shooting with both feet, freekick, ball control, awareness. He was a hibrid player.
Totti lack the trophy cabinet because of the high competition at the time there were too many players and clubs performing at their peak and establishing as what we call their golden generation. Had he went to real madrid he could of won more trophies Ballon dor was difficult when you have del Piero, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Figo, Zidane, Henry, schevchenko, etc (too many to list) They were rewarding fifa player of the year awards ie (they still do) Ronaldinho won fifa best player of the year award while schevchenko won the ballon dor It's not the ronaldo v messi only era So medals were distributed differently And for the world cup it's a big deal when you're playing less In a national team for this event once every 4 years it's a bigger difference from champions league as "we'll try next year" It's safe to say totti played in the toughest italian league era let alone golden era
As a Lazio fan i respect and admire Totti because A.S. Roma was mostly mediocre in the 25 years he played with them and he still stuck around refusing better opportunities to become a symbol and now he's a legend for a reason
the best playmaker of the football history, what a legend !! he's one of the champions of the world that he has not win the champions league in europe as the brazilian Ronaldo and the legend of gaolkepers Buffon
To keep it in the 10 subject, Please do Rui Costa, our maestro back at SLB, and people tend to ignore how good he was, such under rated player and yet such love for Benfica, once when i was a kid he score a goal agaisnt us while playing for Fiorentina and he didnt even celebrated, he actually cried, pls do all of us a favor
I would give him higher scores in: -Finishing cause the cucchiaio -Adaptability cause he played well in different roles during his career -Icon factor cause he is Francesco Totti! And would give him a bonus point for his loyalty and not going to Madrid on the eraly 00's By the way, loved the video man! Waiting a Christian Vieri video
Also playmaking would've deserved a 10/10. Totti was able to create plays outta nowhere, with one touch he was able to put his teammates in front of a goal, was able to start the play from behind and there are some crazy combo with Cassano that are glorious!
@@acalciodicanepodcast5846 he had a really good one touch pass that lead to a lot of Cassano and Bati goals, but I believe a 10/10 playmaker would be someone more like Iniesta or Pirlo
@@henriquehansen314 i respect your opinion. Because i assume that your evaluation is purely based on the skill-set of a pure playmaker(Iniesta and Pirlo) and i accept that. Both Pirlo and Iniesta are 10/10 in playmaking, for sure, and concequently, i understand the why: . Because Totti was overlooked in that, with Xavi, Iniesta, Pirlo, Scholes etc. worldwide recognize as the best, it is easly to assume that Totti in some way was a little less of those legends. and had more in terms of assist-goals, balistic and goals. And also because Totti wasn't to the general eyes a "classic regista", because of the misconception that "the regista" is a role when in reality it is a task. To me the greater proof that he was on top of the game, also, in playmaking it is the world cup of 2006 after that he suffered a very bad injury that stopped one of his best season(individually) in terms of assist and goal-scoring. in the eyes of Lippi(italy C.T.) he would've been the game changer for italy, the one that could've assured goals, assists(to Toni) and all-around the most impactfull player in that World-cup. But instead with a metal plaque on his leg he was able to transform himself(Del Piero was his sub...) 4 assist and one decisive goal. Starting from far behind and see those passes lines(obscure to almost all players) one of my favourite plays was that heel that sent Zambrotta to score against Ukraine. Sorry for the essay xD but Totti gets me fired up.
certainly would give him some higher, but also some lower like mentality and speed, but this then should be done according to all other players so i think its alright here comes out all the same in overall ranking, just a bit bloated overall haha
Playmaker is no other than 10/10. One of a kind. Fast, deep, soft touches, long passes, heel back passes, you choose. He got it all of it. He had that peripheral vision and the smooth technique to make the most of it. King of assistance. 10/10!!! Easily!
Such a great player. Tho his prime career is not that long, still managed to earn really impressive amount of cups and became one of the most important part of those huge victories. Only he missed was the EPL cup and Ballon D'or but 3rd place of Ballon D'or the same time when Ronaldo and Messi is on their prime is considered incredible.
Another class, another whole prime level. One of the most important and exquisite real “italiano” boy. He gave it all in the field in every single game. Simply for the love for the Roma, the love for the football and never for fame or money. A true legendary player. If he got a bit more lucky he would be perhaps twice world champion. Despite of many problems and comparisons…. the fact he stayed all his career in Roma and played at such high skilled level, alone make him one of a kind. Me and my son always loved to see him in the pitch, you knew he was capable of doing great things and stuff in the field. Grazie Il Capitano !! Never forgotten!
Who could be more iconic than Francesco Totti? Rome is one of the greatest city in the world, Rome has one of the greatest history in the world and Rome had Julius Caezar and lately Rome had/has Francesco Totti who stayed loyal servant of Rome. Il Capitano is the modern Caezar. Modern day Romans don't know any more iconic footballer than Totti.
Fair scoring. If he’d tried another club such as Real he’d have been revered if he had been successful. Loyalty affects his legacy... but inside of Rome... he’s a god.
Amazing content - all the videos I’ve seen are really enjoyable, would love to see a video on Cassano - Totti and Cassano were incredibly impressive in 01-04’ serie a campaigns
The biggest difference between him and gerrard or messi or xavi ecc is that he decided to stay in his former knowing he wasn’t going to win ANYTHING. In 2004 as roma was in 16th position (near to serie B) and Real madrid asked him to play w them, but he said NO. For me it’s super easy to decide to stay in barcellona or liverpool when you know that every year you will win a trophy or compete for the ballon d’or or that you have a lot of super skilled teammates. The history between totti and as roma is exactly like if CR7 decided to stay at sporting lisbona for life. Something crazy. He is THE LEGEND.

Messi, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, all the great players are ok, I truly respect them but I'm seriously saying Totti was something else. I've never seen a more complete player than him. He has almost every skills a footballer can have.
very well said. but i always pity his talents were not materialized and shine through at world stage because he stay with one second tier club his whole career. he is the most complete football player i'v ever seen and he deserves much much much more recognition
It was not really the club that made him captain of the team, it was the captain himself, Aldair.
which was really impressive at that time since he was so young and aldair was and is a club legend
actually Aldair never wanted to be captain in the 1st place, he was basically forced to be captain after Balbo left so he gave it away as quickly as he could (if i remember correctly he was only captain for 1-2months)
4:19 it's Rudi Voller, not Carlos Bianchi.
Totti, Del Piero, Baggio, Mancini . People say Italian football is defensive they haven’t half produced some of the most technically gifted 10s going. Totti was a genius
Zola
This guy played football like he was playing a violin, he was pure silk, magic. And his love for Roma made every(most) football fan love him.
The king of Rome... one of The best playmakers in history💛❤️
As always Italian players are underrated and under appreciated. If Totti was of a diff nationality he would be considered a 🐐. He was that amazing. I miss watching him play
Totti is mostly famous for being THE one club legend but really he was also such a good player.
every time I want to cry,I just watch Totti's retirement😢
Love your videos BTW
can you make a video on Tony Adams aka Mr arsenal.
From a Die-heart AC MILAN fan,
Imenso, Francesco Totti!
Would love a Raul Gonzalez Blanco video next bro, love the vids btw you're the best out there
Icon factor 8/10??? The guy is known as the king of Rome :) I think he deserves a solid 10.
Loyalty to the club 10/10
Totti was and still is the ultimate traditional number 10 .. a playmaker second to none .. and on top of that when he got played as a striker he still scored an absurd amount of goals
I always say, if totti was in RM, Barca, Man U during their legendary runs, people would have him in GOAT conversation
You never dissapoint!! Another great video!!
He was one of my favourite. I can still remember euro 2000 moments of totti. He was like todays messi.
"Francesco Totti is the best footballer I have ever seen play football. And always will be." -- Diego Maradona
congratulations on 10k subscribers. the content had been unreal. keep it up.
The most complete player of all time. Vision, one touch passing, backheel, short pass, long pass, shooting with both feet, freekick, ball control, awareness. He was a hibrid player.
Totti was an artist one of the best finishers I have seen untill this days.
Hes amazing, his story even makes me emotional
Not that thats hard anyways but still
The best Italian player of all time..n 10 forever ❤💛
Wow . Its outstanding that Real Madrid is so big that rejecting them is considered and achievement .
Er purpone è troppo bello 😂😂. Grear video, legendary player
Totti lack the trophy cabinet because of the high competition at the time there were too many players and clubs performing at their peak and establishing as what we call their golden generation. Had he went to real madrid he could of won more trophies
Ballon dor was difficult when you have del Piero, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Figo, Zidane, Henry, schevchenko, etc (too many to list)
They were rewarding fifa player of the year awards ie (they still do) Ronaldinho won fifa best player of the year award while schevchenko won the ballon dor
It's not the ronaldo v messi only era
So medals were distributed differently
And for the world cup it's a big deal when you're playing less In a national team for this event once every 4 years it's a bigger difference from champions league as "we'll try next year"
It's safe to say totti played in the toughest italian league era let alone golden era
staying in one club is exactly what makes Totti a 10/10 icon
As a Lazio fan i respect and admire Totti because A.S. Roma was mostly mediocre in the 25 years he played with them and he still stuck around refusing better opportunities to become a symbol and now he's a legend for a reason
TOTTI 10 ❤ My all time favourite player, reason why I love AS ROMA ❤
the best playmaker of the football history, what a legend !! he's one of the champions of the world that he has not win the champions league in europe as the brazilian Ronaldo and the legend of gaolkepers Buffon
Great channel!
You got me with that Koeman video. ;)
he is the real example of the fidelity, a lot of rappers put his name in their songs as the best example of fidelity
Rui Costa was immense. I miss those days of old school #10s in Serie A like Zidane, Totti and Rui Costa. We were truly blessed then.
Legend 🙌
Respect to Totti's mom, loyalty at it's finest.
I would give him higher scores in:
-Finishing cause the cucchiaio
-Adaptability cause he played well in different roles during his career
-Icon factor cause he is Francesco Totti!
And would give him a bonus point for his loyalty and not going to Madrid on the eraly 00's
By the way, loved the video man!
Sorry for the essay xD but Totti gets me fired up.
certainly would give him some higher, but also some lower like mentality and speed, but this then should be done according to all other players so i think its alright here comes out all the same in overall ranking, just a bit bloated overall haha
my favorite player since i was a kid. Nobody as loyal to his team as Totti
Playmaker is no other than 10/10. One of a kind. Fast, deep, soft touches, long passes, heel back passes, you choose. He got it all of it.
He had that peripheral vision and the smooth technique to make the most of it. King of assistance. 10/10!!! Easily!
lol..when i subscribed yesteday around early 4k..today 10k..tomorrow hope 100k..gud luck
I'm a Lazio fan and I kinda hate him, but still I can't deny he is one of the greatest footballers of all time.
The youngest captain in the history of Serie A. Thank you forever Capitano!!
Totti is the only God of Rome..And thoroughly respected worldwide
I’m a Roma fan and my favourite player to play for Roma is by far totti what a player.
One of the most iconic players ever
can you make a vid on ferrnando torres btw love your vids
Such a great player. Tho his prime career is not that long, still managed to earn really impressive amount of cups and became one of the most important part of those huge victories. Only he missed was the EPL cup and Ballon D'or but 3rd place of Ballon D'or the same time when Ronaldo and Messi is on their prime is considered incredible.
There's one called "el niño "
Can you do one on Ji Sung Park? Korea’s legend
Underrated legend
One of the most underrated players in history
Forever a legend of Roma great video brother yessir 🙌
Ti amo sempre FRANCESCO TOTTI sei IL Migliore #10 🇮🇹⚽⭐⭐⭐⭐
Clearly the true, loyal King of Rome !!
Thank you mate.
Few weeks ago i asked you to do one of "how good..." on Totti.
so, now i'll enjoy it ;-)
For me He was the Best and never never forget Him. He’s always in my heart..❤️
Great video! Only when you mention “Carlos Bianchi” you show the photo of Rudy Voeller, instead!
Reparei logo que eras tuga, grande vídeo! Continua com o bom conteúdo!
4:18 that's Rudi Völler :D
Totti, Nesta, Pirlo and Maldini are my favorite Italian footballers ever.
Toti and Roma is love story . He loves his City he couldn't go anywhere else .
I'm proud to watch football on his golden Days
i love your videos ma, they're informative and fun to watch at the same time. Keep the work up!
Make a video on Garrincha please. I loved the effort made on every Video! I feel garrincha should get some recognition with Pele.
Idk no why people don’t consider one of the best of all time? 🤷
As a lazio fan, totti is undeniably the king of rome
In early 2000, M. Owen is fav..even Aguero reveals Owen 'looked up to' as a kid..can u make vid about Owen..
I wish Mourinho got a chance to coach Totti and play him as a Classic No. 10.
Love your videos
Love from Bangladesh 😍
Sometimes the biggest club for you is the one you already play for .
Totti is the most underrated footballer of all time.
An old legend tells Michelangelo was asked by God to paint a football player, so he painted Totti.
Best Italian player ever
