@@Bestspin2winLas if you go and watch all the Xrd Sign Arcade modes, May fights Ramlethal and tells her that the Japanese are cursed/diseased. This is before events of the main story. Some more stuff starts to get revealed about the Japanese situation later on in the main story + Revelator. But yeah, the arcade modes provide a bit of context but the reality is that GG very much leans into its own complicated lore and often doesnt explain things lol. Still enjoying it, on Revelator main story now
