This is a good idea, since in-game you can't really fast forward or skip to specific scenes, you can only go to the Chapters, and you'd have to manually skip all the scenes before you get to the scene you want to rewatch. Putting it here in movie form is a great move, thanks ArcSys!
I really appreciate their effort to help audience get to know abt GG story even if it's summarize. I'm glad they still show lots of love for the series.

But then Xrd came around, and even though it was not massively succesful, they still kept pushing it forward until now and we have STRIVE. Nothing against BB, but I just prefer the characters of GG overall.

PROTIP for people just starting out: Sign story mode is a sloooow setup and introduction of the characters. But once you get through that, the Rev story mode is a roller coaster. Great villain, great feels, great action scenes. I usually hate sitting through fighting game story modes but I felt this was well worth it.

if only the new terms (weapons, powers ecc) were more explained during the story and you could actually fight even 5-10 minutes of movie, the story could be very good for a fighting game
they should adapt the story of GG2 overture into a novel or even animated like the story mode here. feel that were missing quite a bit of info for new players

You’re ready and expecting to be an active participant and play the game when you watch it in game. When you’re not playing, you get bored as you’re in game and being an active participant is a few button presses away. On your phone, your ready to be a passive observer and watch videos. Or yer weird I dunno

The backstory for this first chapters (how did the valentine sisters enter the scene, the events that led towards sol fighting ram, etc.), did it happen in the arcade modes, as in revelator? Or is it found in some material between Overture and Sign?
