Antonio, looking at your outfit makes me want a deep dive on when black and brown go together and when they do not. It’s one fashion thing I may never understand the difference in. A look book on good and bad examples would probably be the best fashion video I could learn all year. Help a challenge coin holder out.
@@GenuineGents Lol I don’t think he gives out that coin so generously that one usually has more than one. If you got two, you must be his favorite Rmrs fashionista. 😂
It’s funny timing that you’re posting these videos because I’m turning 40 in two years and am transitioning my style to more accomplished adult and a little less causal. Love these series.
One of my favorite looks during the fall/winter is a cable knit turtleneck with a pair of jeans and lace up boots. Further my wife loves this look and I always get lots of compliments people.
I picked up two merino turtlenecks on Saturday, a grey and a white. Sunday I wore the grey with brown flannel slacks, a vintage green Harris tweed jacket, chili Allen Edmond Daltons (brogue boots) and a green trilby to a book release party. A received many compliments.
Thanks for the tips. I used to wear turtlenecks but my neck whiskers used to tear up the fabric and make pills. I would then throw them away after 1 season. I never thought of folding it inside and get double the wear! I enjoy your channel!!!
There are two things that converted me to the mertis of turtlenecks: 1) Seeing Cpt. Kirk and the Enterprise crew wearing them in the "Star Trek" movies (I've been trying to find those ribbed-neck types for years!) 2) Living in Colorado for two years. I became a devoted shopper of the Land's End catalog during those years, since they featured FOURTEEN PAGES of turtlenecks in their winter edition!
The turtleneck is a staple of my signature look when the mercury drops. I have 'em in all thicknesses and weaves, mostly in earth tones and blues, one medium gray, one charcoal gray. For the colder days, I go with a chunky. Like you, Antonio, I favor a roll neck underneath a sports jacket or suit coat, but I got tell 'ya -- the shacket is where it's at. I invested in several elegant shackets that pair exceptionally well with the lighter weaves (SuitSupply makes phenomenal turtles for layering!). I'm glad to see the resurgence of the turtleneck sweater. I've always loved the look.
Hi Antonio - I'm English and over here we call them pola neck jumpers as the turtle neck is the jumper that sits just above your Jacket lapels which is a rather nice look. The pola neck jumpers are best if you roll them once. So it gives a very smooth look. But they do come high on your neck. I should say - I've been a jumper wearer for many years as I like them more than any other mens wear apart from my suits of course.
James bond actors wore turtlenecks in multiple movies. Archer (cartoon) referred to them as the "tactleneck" lol! I just texted my wife I want some for Christmas. My existing sweaters are like 20+ years old.
I’ve always dug turtlenecks. In fact, I’ll be wearing a thicker one today as it is cold outside. :) I’m very tall and slim, and will wear it without layering. :)

Antonio, I love turtleneck sweaters and have them in many different patters and colors, enjoy wearing them with a multitude of suits, blazers, suede, or leather jackets, overcoats and alone, your buddy from the Alpha male channel wore a dark blue grey pinstripes suit at one of your men conferences a number of years ago and he inspired me to do the same with my dark blue grey pinstripe suit. BTW you rock in that black blazer and brown turtle neck bro !!! I going to wear that combination today.
Great timing with this video was on the fence really didn’t know how I would look with a turtle neck being that I have a short neck, appreciate the folds type.
One of your best looks yet Antonio. You are killing it with the gold/burnt orange turtleneck, dark blue jacket & killer pocket square - nice combination! Oh my lord, tuck the turtleneck to the inside!? Why didn't I think of that. Great tip. :-). Hey, could you make a video on the principal of how to combine (and not combine) different levels of textures? Use of texture seems to be a forgotten corner of the menswear RUclips space. Plenty of videos on combining colors - almost nothing on the use and misuse of texture. Another welcome video would be on go-to dressing formulas/patterns e.g. the "sandwich": Color "A" for the shoes and top and color "B" for pants = A, B, A. (feet, pants, top). Thank you for considering the topic. :-)
I am a man who has a really particular size: Wide shoulders and around 1,85, but a rather thin neck. Turtlenecks are exactly a thing I like to roll with, because it never bothers me and it makes me more classy. Also if you have a thinner neck like me, the inside fold does wonders ☺️.
Great video! I really like the turtleneck you are wearing in the video Antonio, and also the pocket square that compliment the colour perfectly. A couple of years ago I started to add turtlenecks into my wardrobe. I had a little bit of gut at that time so I always wore it together with a scarf or a dawn vest. Now I have lost about 15 pounds and feel more confident wearing turtlenecks even as separates. It's all about fit.
Hey Antonio, Great video on turtle neck shirts. Now I know what to look for when I do some shopping to upgrade my clothes for the winter. I like that gold color turtle neck and sport jacket on you. It's very well put together and it coordinates with your men wardrobe.

Turtlenecks are very classy. I think some men are afraid of wearing them because they haven’t reached that level of class in their persona. I am one of those men. So the turtle neck is a goal.
Saludos hermano Antonio from Spain, Personally I started loving turtlenecks after watching the film "GRIMSBY", when Sasha Baron was wearing a grey turtleneck.
One thing I'd like to add that people might find useful is that men, like me, who have a full beard with dark hair should be careful wearing a black or dark brown roll neck (turtleneck). Otherwise if you have a dark beard and a dark turtleneck it all blends in and your chin and jawline disappears. For this reason I prefer lighter colours
Where do mock turtlenecks fit into this matrix or do similar suggestions apply? I have a preference to mock turtlenecks & I wear them routinely throughout the year, the colder months in particular. Usually with dark denims & a casual jacket though I often pair it with a peacoat, oilskin duster & long "car" coat. It all depends on what I doing for the day.
Hey Antonio, a good video. I technically do not have a turtleneck. I was turn off by them, but now I am definitely inspired to eventually get one also by the way last year at a wedding it was technically a casual wedding. I try to do look, and it looked half decent. The groom and fat was my cousin wore a sport coat, on trousers and a tie, while the bride obviously wore a white wedding dress, most people were dressed up to a point where in suits and ties I decide to with my chocolate brown in the Indochino suit with a dark brown sweater no shirt, no tie am I chocolate brown whole cuts from Paul Evans
Just my opinion, but a turtleneck looks great paired with a nice cardigan sweater or a double breasted suit. Also a turtleneck sweater looks great paired with a nice pea-coat.
That makes it much harder to find one that fits correctly. On the bright side, if only the sleeve length is wrong, you can just scrunch up the sleeves to show off your forearms. If you're happy with the way your body looks, a well-fitting turtleneck will show it off. If you're not happy with the way your body looks, layering a turtleneck under a well-fitting jacket will still look great.
First off all I don't think a lot of people know those "tough guys" you were referring to so let me refer to two other guys who wore turtlenecks that were "tough guys" John Gotti and Tupac Shakur both rocked turtlenecks and looked like baller's
