5’6”, 185lbs, 66 years old haven’t swung a club in 25 years. Just tried almost all the new game improvement clubs and hit the Callaway AI Smoke with cypher 60 +55 graphite shaft the best. Got fitted and these were the winner for me.
I just bought the qi HL model. Best. Lofts are weaker than standard qi irons and aren’t too jacked. With the flighted CG and added loft, I get 50+ landing angle on whole set..good spin. Standard qi are stronger lofted. Go try the qi HL model! Beast mode!
They are all a winner in my books. It would just boil down to personal preference as the performance specs are all so close, and every person is so different with their swing as to what the outcome would be. Great test love all these head to heads keep them coming!
Great review guys currently play Stealth 2 tried the QI , Smoke, T350, G430 , all nice but got the best figures from QI and actually preferred it to P790, the feel of the QI and my tight dispersion was a welcome surprise. The T350 very nice but pricey and the numbers not as good. I’m a senior 16 handicapper.
So what happened to part 2 of this??? And where has Kevin been? I've really enjoyed the interaction between Kevin and Drew... The chemistry between them has made these pieces not only informative but also very enjoyable.
I believe that the only reference to this was with the V-sole on the Cleveland Zipcore which is a feature that is best for a steeper swing where you will be interacting with the dirt/grass more, and Kevin says he has a "shallow" swing. None of the other irons tested have V-soles.
There’s very little in the results basically strike effects the results. They all spin within 300 of each other. The ball speeds almost the same. So they performed very close. So for me the winner is Cleveland purely on price with the money you save you can add a matching hybrid or extra wedge.
I tested the darkspeed 7i. Sales guy asked me. How do you like it ? I said well it takes the record for the lowest spinning iron I have ever tried. It was 2700 rpm. Great in a driver. Not so much in a 7i.
I agree with the person who said a good golfer testing game improvement irons is ludicrous. if you’re 73 years old, like myself, and want as much forgiveness available who cares about the look of the club. Also I want the irons to give distance, if you can’t stop it on the green club down.
We didn't include Mizuno in this test because Mizuno has not released a game improvement iron in 2024. Their most recent game improvement iron release was the JPX 923 Hot Metal irons, which we did include in our BEST OF 2023 videos.
Is the older guy here to share what other people’s opinions are or have been about the Callaway irons or is he here to share his professional opinions about the irons in question????
Kevin is a club fitter at our Columbia store and has fit thousands of golfers for game-improvement irons. He is providing his take on the latest in the category!

Thanks fellas. Well done. Excellent content.
Thanks for watching!!

I know Kevin does the majority of the testing but Curious why you wouldn’t bring in someone who the irons are geared for ?

It looked like he hit the Qi10 the best to me.
Always fantastic content, quality production, no idea why you don’t have more subs?
Why did you not try wilsons irons???? Please review. Thanks
Loved the Zip core looks
One of Kevin's favorites of the year!
Guys, quick question when testing and or fitting what swing weight are you using and what is typical for men and senior men?

Good feedback! The ZipCore XLs are one of Kevin's favorites this year and that's a big part of it
Dude is a machine
Indeed!
Why is very good golfer with a high swing speed testing super improvement irons. What a disappointment, I certainly can't relate.
What kind of information would you gain from a guy shanking it repeatedly
New camera in the tour van?
I’ll give the joke a 7.3 but I’ll give the delivery a 6.0 lol
There’s a Ford Diesel joke in there about reliability.

Wait, other people land the ball on the green?

@@2ndswing Got it. Thank you for your response.
Qi can be lofted by 2 degrees

What shaft weight was used?
In my opinion, the Cleveland was the winner.
It's a REALLY good iron !
The sound of the 8-PW is totally different (in a good way) than the sounds of the 7 (and lower ) irons.
10
That joke is a Big 10 and deserves a Big Pint and some classic Rock. Since it was just St Patrick’s Day how about some Thin Lizzy. That be a deep cut.
I wish he would think, toe and heel them more. I for one am not as good as Kevin hahaha.
Cobra dark speed another seven iron that’s really a4 iron Wow look how far I hit it really
4000 spin on a seven iron
Could be wrong but the Callaway was going the furthest.
Can we get Dynamic Loft in the numbers? Thanks 🙏
Good luck stopping those irons in the summer
I think the cleveland clubs are much too busy. There's no need for all that stamping
A white horse walks into a bar and the barman says "hey we've go a whiskey named after you" and the horse says "what Bruce?"
This dude is way too consistent.. get a high handicaper in there
