My latest solo female van life video is at Fell View Park, Scorton, Lancashire.
It was one of the few campsites I could find nearby that allow your own fire pits. I noticed some others allow them but you have to hire their pits and buy their wood.
It's a lovely site beside a working farm, not far from the M6 motorway, spacious hardstanding pitches, £25 a night for electric, £20 no electric. There's a fishing lake on site £5 a day to fish there.
The grounds and facilities are all well kept.
I give you a quick look at the facilities.
I had a wander once the rain stopped and the sun came out mid afternoon.
After a pizza and a Moretti, and lit fire pit to take the edge of the still quite chilly air. Sitting out like that is where I find I can truly be in the 'now' and I can't get enough of it!
I then turned in and had a peaceful night.
An odd discovery on my pitch the next morning initially confused but didn't bother me but it later raised a few questions and slight concern.
It was then time to pack up and leave until the next outing.

I’ve begun vlogging my solo travels in ‘Vanya’, to re-engage with life after tragically losing my husband 2 years ago. The world changed forever and irreversibly in an instant and working through my grief has been the hardest & loneliest challenge imaginable. Some days it still knocks me completely sideways, but I cope better all the time.
By returning to the vanlife we enjoyed so much together, revisiting a love of photography, and immersing myself in nature, I’m regaining strength, balance, purpose, and hope moving forward through this next, completely unplanned chapter of life.

@@CamperVanya were actually 11 days into the trip. Been on the coast mostly, but the gale force winds forced us inland. Currently chilling in Banchory just south of Aberdeen 🙂🐕🚙

I was going to type that your windscreen was a bit dirty then I realised ....it was my laptop screen lol You now made me realise I want a pop top, wind out awning, front windscreen covers, bin....coffee pot , Ridge Monkey, fire pit LOL Gotta love watching your favourite Vanning You tubers and realising you might just not have finished your van after all. Great video again as usual. I'll be sure t look out for the Phantom of the firepit if ever I visit there.

We stayed at this site on our first trip out when we got our first caravan. There’s some lovely country walks from the site, gets you away from the m6 humming. The lambs are so cute. I have visions of a whole ant colony, hatching a master plan to steal you’re wood 🪵🫢 Thanks for sharing you’re little trip. Em 😘

Love Scorton and Nicky Nook, these were my haunts as a kid as they were my nearest countryside and hill. Done the walk a thousand times and have great memories. Just in Cornwall atm with my mom, sister and her hubby in a lovely holiday cottage but let me tell you I'd rather be in my van. Nice site I am one of those people who like silence, the hum in the distance of traffic would keep me awake. Thanks for mentioning that. You can’t beat being out in the van can you. I know traffic hum can bother some people it was particularly noticeable because I had the pop top up. I haven’t overshot the chocks yet 😅. Thanks for watching and commenting 😊👍🏻

Lol, that was one of those weird things that I don't think you'll ever get an answer too! Got to say I don't think the noise from the M6 would bother me too much. I think when it's a constant hum in the background it's like white noise.

I’d been looking for somewhere that would allow me to use my fire pit (amazing what excites me these days!). It was a lovely surprise how nice the site was actually. Breezy but it died down & the sun came out 😎. The mallet is from our tent camping days haha. I’ll use it on any future wood thieves 😂

Scorton is a lovely little place we drive through to get to the Tower you visited. You know… “Quernmore” but pronounced better than the Brummie did 😂 Looks lovely there. Haha well spotted yes they’re TanjaB stickers. The blinds are by Vanshades, window pods with integrated cellular blinds. I like the neatness of them. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

It all counts haha but for me it’s always my coffee. I’m just so grateful the fire pit was still there!
My thoughts are that they ‘borrowed’ the whole fire pit and returned it cleaned out with the remaining unburnt log. 🔥

There were other vans pitched in a different area lol. These prices do seem pretty typical at the moment. Some others like you say are definitely getting greedy! 😐
