    Thanks for the recipe. I’m 11 working on becoming independent in the kitchen. I can cook noodles, bake pancakes, boil meat and get the stock and fry chips. But my problem is with salt. All my fried dishes turn out too salty. Thank you for the video.

    Love plantains. I use a flour batter when frying mine and then eat it peanut sauce.

    I watched several videos on how to cook plantains before trying to cook mine.
    Yours was the first that suggested salting them so I tried it both ways.
    Your version, salting them first, brought out the flavor and they tasted much better. Thank you!
    P.S. My 82 year old mother got the giggles when she heard you say to wait to let them cool or you will burn your mouth because that's exactly what she was trying to do..eat them up too fast! 😊

      @edibles4458 I followed ur recipe and my plantain was good but not sweet. My question is, if I buy a plantain that is yellow, not dark, if I wait, like banana, will it get dark and sweet, or do I have to buy it that way?
