    Leeds didn't have money, nearly all the players that reguarly started for Leeds in this era were home grown, developed by the club not bought on the transfer market. and when Don revie took over Leeds were 250,000 in debt and at the bottom of the second division

    This is a good film but they changed the scores of matches to fit the scenes. Leeds didn't beat Derby 5-0 and Derby didn't win the return 2-1 either. Also in this film Clough gets sacked at Leeds after losing to Luton. That game was a draw and he was actually sacked during the week another draw at Huddersfield in the league cup. A game in which Lorimer scared a last minute equaliser. If the players were trying to get him sacked they wouldn't be scoring last minute goals to save cup ties.

      @@teengshentai1508 it's based on a semi true book but it's as close as we can get really. The book was pretty much panned and was a dark version of the movie which made clough look jealous vindictive and insecure which couldn't be further from the truth so the film lightened up the character and made him more like the real brian. I would love a full movie about his time at forest aswell and would love if sheen reprised the role. Would never happen but I would love it. Damned United gave us a good look but not the full picture theres over 20 years of story left untold. Some of his interactions signing players at Forrest is legendary. I won't spoil it but type in dean Saunders brian clough and there is a hilarious story that's also bizarre but its cloughie in his later years to a tee.

    • @kerrymandanny8135
      @kerrymandanny8135 2 года назад +3

      I'm 11 years late but I think it's just a dramatisation. He stayed in the office because he was afraid of getting thumped by leads again. Apparently that's what the book says but that has been proven inaccurate so its either he was banned or he was there they just added it for drama. Maybe it did happen but I'm fairly sure it was just a movie plot.

Triuble with Leeds was although their first 11 was as good as anything maybe the squad just wasnt quite big enough otherwise 6 trophies would have been atleast10
