R.I.P Brian you were and still are the greatest manager to ever live, and I am proud you managed my club and won the things you did with us, we still sings songs about you at every home game in the Trent End, and will do forever you are the best
I dont support any of the teams directly or indirectly linked to clough, but i will say hands down no questions he was THE GREATEST english football manager ever
Defo. Only Herbet Chapman can lay claim.
Im just seeing him this close in living colours from close range for the first time.Such a great personality
The football fan’s hero , god bless Sir Brian
although he's nearly been dead for ten years, football misses brian cloug. he was a man of the people. he said what he thought. he rose about the sheep mentality and said HOW IT IS. we need more like him. not sheep who are scared to say what they think. portobello road.
The Labour Party misses people like Brian Clough (and Bill Shankly) even more than football does. What the hell happened to their clear and concise conception of socialism?
The Premier League nowadays is Sadly Lacking a Man Like Brian Clough
An iconic figure even for those not particularily into soccer.
Very much missed...
Managers come and go. Some really good, some average but Brian Clough really stood out and illuminated. Really miss Cloughie.
This great man’a achievement managing a club like Forest to two European cups will never be bettered the fact he was never offered the England job one of football’s greatest travesties.
Got a great photo of Brian and me dad together in the school team . They were mates went to the same youth club in grove hill in Middlesbrough together.
The Shanks quote is the best. 'I'd hold him while Shanks hit him' Different times.
Greatest Achievievee in English football. 2 underperforming, especially Forest, mid range clubs to Title Winners and Debry SF European Cup and Forest 2 time winners.
And playing with No Little Style.
RIP Brian.
My right ear enjoyed this.
He said what he meant and he meant what he said…… there’s not many in life that do that let alone in Football…..! The best English manager ever….! Should have been given the England job….. I genuinely think we would have won either the Euros or the World Cup…. Especially with the players we had at the time…. But he scared the directors of the FA because he was the man he was….. a better man than any of those directors then or now….. RIP Mr Clough….
Thank you for making the game I love.. Great..!
Thanks for doing this mate!
If only we could bring him back and replace boring Gary Lineker on match of the day!
R.I.P Cloughie! Brain Clough's Red Army!
Cloughie was a legend, a wonderful man.
RIP cloughie. boro legend
Cloughy would be proud to see how forest was for the 2022 2023 season..amazing team spirit and skills. They Did the city proud again, they once said there was a Clough curse on us..they can't anymore.Theyl have a good year next year cloughy am sure of it
Thanks for posting this
True perfection has to be imperfect. Rest in peace Brian.
Legend , sorely missed
Brian and Peter. Are without doubt the greatest ever to manage in British football. No other club with Forests stature have ever or will ever win the European cup
Peter Taylor deserves a lot of the credit
Your right Peter Taylor does deserve a lot of credit Brian Clough and Peter Taylor one of the greatest double acts of all time same as bill shankly and Bob Paisley at Liverpool I liked Brian Clough because he spoke his mind and if it upset anybody he didn't care he said how it was Peter Taylor was at his job as well they were like brothers they both needed each other same as at the time bill shankly and Bob Paisley
Im a Liverpool supporter and I can say this hand on heart, if Clough and Taylor were given the England Job, we would have won the World Cup in 1982 no doubt about it, and the team that went to that tournament would have been very different Clough and Taylor knew who the best players were, and it didnt matter if you played for Crewe if they thought you was the right man for that position you would be playing for England.
Mr Clough, you were brilliant.
What a man, what a absolute legend
Simply the best
LEGEND.
Brilliant man.
Always in my heart,Cloughie
Nottingham Forest Legend And Always Will Be

We miss people like you in the game.
I have been a Leeds fan for 45 years, did not agree with things you said about my club, but I liked you jus the same. RIP Brian. You are a one off
