Just add everything missing from the Mario games in the game formats available. What about water/poison/lava options for other level themes besides Forest and Castle?
Good and reasonable list. A few small additions I'd make for MM3 would include moving/shifting terrain, edged slopes, and nighttime level gimmicks being optional.

Mario Maker 3 would have to distinguish itself from the previous entries. I prepose reworking themes so that the options of background, block tiles, and special mechanics can all be chosen independently of one another. We could have a castle in the clouds, or a flooded ghost house, or a low gravity cave, or an air ship in a windy blizzard.
These are good ideas. One of the biggest things I think smm3 needs is updates to the super worlds. 1, maybe more levels per world, 7-8 could work. 2, a search system for the worlds like course levels. 3, you should be able to name and add descriptions to the worlds.
also, some ideas for an odyssey. I think the Course themes could be cool. Grass = Cascade Kingdom Desert = Sand Kingdom Ghost House = Lost Kingdom, Maybe nighttime option could be Ruined Kingdom Underground = I think it should still be underground Jungle = Wooded Kingdom Snow = Snow Kingdom Airship = Metro Kingdom Underwater = Lake Kingdom or Seaside Kingdom Sky = Cloud Kingdom with nighttime option being Moon Castle = Bowser’s Kingdom
4, world warps. 5, world 9. 6, carry over powerups if game style is the same. 7, different map game styles. 8, bigger maps. 9, more map themes to fit the added ones.
I think an option for more customization would be great, like adding triggers for objects, custom settings, custom terrain, custom slopes (like circles and stuff like that), and maybe expand past mario (such as yoshi's island, the art style is just beautiful) Edit: Also, i think it would be cool to have skins for enemies (such as the bone enemies like in nsmb2)
A "frozen cavern" course theme would be really interesting; it has made its way into Super Mario World (SMW), so... Why not? Also, it's nighttime gimmick could be slipperiness because it is frozen, just like the snow theme and flipping it upside-down because it's underground like the underground theme (all at the same time

I think there should be something called "Sub-themes" these would be a mix of themes. Sandy Sky, Frozen cavern, volcano cavern, sky castle, Overworld cave, Haunted jungle, Abandoned ship, sunk ship, underwater castle, etc.
How about a theme mixer? That could add your frozen cavern with snow + underground, and you could have stuff like sky castle, or beach mountain, or underwater castle, all that The night time gimmick could be to just fuze the 2 themes gimmick as one, so underwater castle, would just be dark, as you can’t be underwater whilst underwater. So like the icy cavern idea
Excellent list! Some other things you didn't mention I would love to see: Get rid of the vertical/horizontal toggle and make it just open. Like the height is the most it can be and the width is the most it can be all times Also, option to make more sub-areas. We currently can have 1 sub-area, it would be nice to have 2, 3, 4 etc Make the option to add more than 1 exit, so we can have secret exits. Don't limit exits to the main area, and make it possible for a boss to be the end of a level. Add more customizations to boss (attacks, health points, difficulty etc) Make music more customizable, make ground tiles more flexible and please get rid of having the night themes being necessarily different in mechanics and music Make water and lava tiles, and get rid of the obligatory water/lava on forest/castle Make one-way pipes, make launch pipes, hidden walls etc Make screen lock something easier to do Make star coins available as parts to use Give us the option to choose what happens to the player when game over on a Super World Add even more foreground decorations to have in tiles etc, and make them not random add more slope options Text blocks would be amazing too Well, these are just some other things. If Nintendo implemented everything you said in this video plus everything I said here, then I would say we would definitely have an improved Mario Maker experience
3:50 I think they should Either give us the option to combine existing theme I.E. Grass + Castle = Volcano or Jungle + Desert = Beach or even Underground + Sky = Mountain. Or give us 8 worlds (Grass, Desert, Water, Snow, Jungle, Mountain, Sky and Lava) and 5 settings (Overworld, Underground, Vehicle, Ghost-House, Castle) E.g. Ghost-House + Jungle is Vincent Van Gogh level or Overworld + Water is beach etc. Either can work. That we can have 8×5×2 (Night Themes) = 80 Levels compared normal 20. They can also give us Bonus Worlds I would like a City Theme, A Digital Theme, A Space theme, A Food Theme, or Even Starworld theme.

Something else I'd like to see would be the water jets in the beach theme and sand jets in the desert. Maybe you could even adjust how high the jets go.
Idea: theme merging. There are 8 main themes: Grassland, Desert, Snow, Beach, Jungle, Mountain, City, and Volcano. Each of those has 6 sub themes: Ground, Underground, Sky, Ghost House, Airship, and Castle. This makes for 48 themes per gamestyle, though there won’t be 48 tracks of music. Every sub-theme will have their own song, except for ground, and beach-underground, which is underwater. Some notable combos: Beach-Airship is a sea ship. Beach-castle is flooded. Beach-Ghost house is a shipwreck. Jungle-underground is a partially flooded cave. Beach-underground is underwater. City-underground is a sewer. Desert-Ghost house is a pyramid. Jungle-Ground, Jungle-ghost house, and Jungle-Castle have poison. All desert themes except sky and airship have quicksand. P.S. Fluid is toggle-able.
Other cool ideas include: Super Mario Land 2 theme. It would be a standard theme and would replace odyssey as the third new theme, as I feel like odyssey wouldn’t work in 2D due to it’s source game not being a 2D game with an extra axis like 3D world. It’s power ups would be the carrot and the super ball flower. Ice flower in all styles, as a variant of the fire flower. The power armour and gold mushroom should not exist, and will promptly be removed. The amiibo costumes will replace the smb2 mushroom, and the Weird mushroom will return as a variant of the mushroom in smb1, as well as having a 1 in 1000 chance to replace the regular mushroom. Smb2’s powerups would be the potion which grants invisibility for 10 seconds, and the Magic carpet which allows Mario to fly for 10 seconds.
To me the perfect Mario maker should allow you to perfectly recreate any 2d Mario game effects and all, like clearly the technology is there they already did it, they just need to put it into an editor and Bam Mario maker 3, also bring back mystery mushrooms they were awesome
Here’s what I think they might do: Let’s be honest, the new parts they’ll put for the classic styles will just be from Mario 1, 3 and world And if we only get one style, I at least want it to be Mario galaxy 2 That game has several 2d parts so it would definitely work in Mario maker 3
I would think they would add variants to the themes something like ground -> lava underground -> inside volcano castle -> tower etc you would select these varients the same way you choose day/night
This is a really good and pretty realistic list. Personally there's two things that stuck out to me though, for the fourth course world I would replace the haunted woods with the pipe world. I haven't played any of the DS games so I'm going on a whim, but I'm pretty sure the pipe level has been featured in more games and is more unique. Another one is the item roulette block could be abused in making "impossible" levels. People could easily keep re-trying levels until they get the power up that's requires to beat the level and overall it could be to unpredictable for Nintendo. Once again though, good video

@@cubefromblender I said Indescribable pipes, because I had the Mega Mushroom on the list. Those twisters are okay but they aren't powerful enough and can only be placed on ground pipes, pipes attached to walls or the roof, can't have them. Springs only allow you to jump higher, Trampolines catapult you into the air and allow you to spin down to the ground slowly.
I’d like to see: 1) MORE FREEDOM : All assets available in all styles. Freely mix and match night gimmicks and win conditions. 2) BETTER MULTIPLAYER : Better servers, multiplayer-specific parts, and revamped win condition system allowing for things like battle stages and mini games. 3) NEW CHARACTERS : Link was the coolest thing added to SMM2. So in addition, now you can play as Kirby or Samus, who play like their respective games. Play entirely as these characters, not as a powerup, using their health system (like hearts for Link). Kirby can copy abilities from existing enemies like gaining Needle from Spinies or Pokeys. 4) NEW STYLES : SMB2, Legend of Zelda, Kirby’s Dream Land, and Metroid, with a host of content from those games. 5) BETTER DISCOVERY : More options to find and curate levels, and a more robust Super World system.
I would like to have a background changer that has variations of that course theme background. For example, the castle theme normally looks bland but if you could change the background, you could make sky castles and other stuff which looks way cooler
If there's one thing I absolutely need in MM3, above anything else. It would be improved one-way doors designs. As versatile as the one-way doors are, they instantly ruin the aesthetics of the stage.
What I'd want in SMM3: -Being able to play courses from previous Mario Maker games in addition to SMM3 courses -Being able to import courses that you started in a previous MM game (if it doesn't have at least this one or the previous item I mentioned, I'm not interested, no matter what other cool new features it may offer) -Custom level palettes -Super Mario Odyssey, Yoshi's Island, and SMB2 styles -Chucks in the SMW style
maybe for the beach and forest theme we could have a ice flower mechanic were Mario can run on the water similar too the ice flower from Super Mario Galaxy
For things I especially want I'd say Ice Flower and Weird Mushroom. Fire, Ice, and Boomerang Bro. Volcano Theme. More Levels in a Super World at once. I get if there's still just 8 worlds, but I'd like there to be more levels per world. Maybe even up to 10 if we wanna get beggy. Mushroom Scales and Cursed Key for all styles since I really like that mechanic.
They probably didn't add an SMB2 game style because it's basically a reskin of Doki Doki Panic. Also it would be cool to add the tower theme, but it would only really work with vertical areas.
There are 6 main things I would want in super mario maker 3. First are mega + mini mushrooms (for all styles) that could increase and decrease enemy and player size respectively. Second an indestructible crate like block, similar to the heavy block from story mode, that could activate p-switches, kill enemies, jump/walked on, etc. Third, foreground + background non solid blocks that are one for decoration, and foreground blocks could be used to create hidden areas. Fourth is placable water/lava, for obvious reasons. Fifth is an ice flower, not penguin suit sorry. Lastly a color block; an indestructible block that's purpose is to allow for more decoration.
Wouldnt it be cool if we could combine game styles and themes. We could have yoshi and the goomba shoe in one level and crrate an icy desert or a ghost airship as examples.

I think that the costume mushrooms should also be usable in smb3, and also think that an athletic theme (the grassy area in smb3) would be an important addition

For the boss doors, how about just have a singular door type that automatically closes if any bosses are nearby, kinda like the teleporters in Mega Man Maker.
I would love to see Yellow-Green On/Off blocks, More Key Coins and Key Doors, Like Green Coins open Green key doors. Anti-P-Switch conveyor belts that would only work when a P-Switch is triggered. Also I don't know how to put it, but Square Levels, Length of a Overworld Level and Height of a Vertical Sub-World. Boss Fight Stages, Stages which are only and instantly beaten when (a) Certain boss(es) is/are defeated. Boss Doors and One Way doors (Doors which only lead to one area and disappears on another area, like how classic door works), Speaking of doors I would also like an On/Off Door. Not ending on door, I would also like more than 4 doors like 6-8 doors at least. I think number of Pipes is enough. Let's talk about On/Off in General, We would like On/Off Pipes, Question Mark Blocks and Burners (On/Off Invisible block would be too nasty). Crates in classic styles. I think adding that in a sequel is possible. Three things we need back from Original Game is 1. Amiibo Costumes, 2. Enemy Ricochet 3. PIPE STACKING. I should stop now, Sorry for long comment.
I feel like the switch should also be added to world maker. It would be cool to have to clear a couple of levels, hit a switch, then go back to the gate. Mabye you could have 6 switches and 2 gates per world and you can link specific switches to certain gates. This would work really well with the bigger world map you talked about
Some other enemies that could be added are the Huckit Crab which would fit really well with the beach theme and the Fizzlit which would be exclusive the the Super Mario 3D World style.
What I would love to see is the weird and mystery mushroom back and in 3D world each character follows their special roles like Mario is balanced, luigi jumps higher,toad is speed and peach can hover
Fun idea: ●The roulete block could be obtained by puting 1 to ??? Thing's in an ice block (and yes, that might slightly or completly change it's design) just like how you would put it in a question mark block, brick block, etc. ●the roulet block could also onely be 1 powerup, witch would just make it a transparent block with an item inside. Trust me, its beter when you think obout it a bit

Here’s some ideas for night versions of your corse theme predictions. Beach: small waves in the water that push the player back. Mountain:spikes throw rocks that only move if they’re on a slope pokeys are made of rocks. lava/volcano:large fireballs falling from the sky. Haunted:boos and dry bones are faster
I'd like to see Galaxy as an extra style. Yeah, I know, that sounds impossible, Galaxy is a game about round planet platforms. Well, It can still be mostly blocky, still. And we can still make it's main gimmick anti gravity. I was thinking the gravity arrow walls could make a perfect element for this style. They can be like semi solid platforms without the platforms.
For characters you should be able to play as wario and waluigi and mabye different color toads we only have blue right now mabye we could have red.yellow,purple,green, ect.
If mario maker 3 doesnt have the fake terrain from nsmbw, idk what they're doing It'd be perfect for hiding secrets, hiding contraptions, and possibly a way to simulate the dark room gimmick in other game styles. Also, how would the odyssey style work for toad and toadette?
Toad and Toadette in Odyssey is a good point, I hope we don't have to see the monstrosity known as hatless Toads so maybe they can wear a builder hat on top and throw it? Not entirely sure lol

13:23. I think enemies should be able to hit that switch if you are creating a level that requires an enemy to flip it. It should also trigger on off switches.
Some stuff i think would be cool are the Brolders and ninjis being able to choose if you want liquid in a level or not, let the Koppalings have their smbu U powers back like Roy’s bill blaster lemmy’s bombs ect.
What if in the Super Mario Odyssey style, you put the start/end (the odyssey) wherever you want, and you put moons around the world, so one level could be like an entire kingdom. That would make cool non-linear levels because letting you put the start wherever you want would make starting off the level much easier. Like imagine a non-linear ground level where you collect moons, but can go underground to get the other half of the moons.
They should add a button, something like "World Settings" that will allow the player to change things such as Gravity, Character Selection for Single Player, and other useful and perhaps strange things. Same with the world editor, but not the same settings, Hide Levels (the player needs to find a secret door/pipe that will bring them to a secret goal to unlock the hidden level, this will also hide the path to it), Carry Power-ups (like from all games lol, have a mushroom and yoshi in one level, then in the next, getting to a castle level will get rid of yoshi until you beat it or die), Restart on Game Over (upon a game over the player will be sent back to the beginning of the world they are in), and other things I can't remember. If the 3rd suggestion World Settings seem a little harsh, then maybe they could add some sort of checkpoint system into the world maker.
These are super cool ideas and I agree, but I do have one suggestion that I'd like to make. Baby yoshies from NSMBU. I feel like having each of them for different themes or something like that would be cool to have.
Honestly, if you could make your level 3d and then create whatever you want, i think that would be super cool! Because because even if it was complicated for people, they could still make the 2d levels

Things i would add not in the video, a switch that makes platforms disappear/reappear (like the first castle in nsmb world 8), bowser statues from new super mario bros 2, pretty unique item from that game imo lol, it would shoot fire that goes straight, but can be adjusted to shoot blue fire, which is faster, and purple, which homes in on you if you get close, it also shoots fire from a far distance, similar to bowser, but the location will always be the same, Dry bowser, a bowser who throws bones, and is immune to lava and fire Edit: one more thing, id actually like to see mystery costumes in mario 3 instead of mario 1, mario 1 already has a ton of power ups, and mario 3 is clearly the least popular, also id like every costume to be obtainable in some way without amiibo lol, while still keeping support
My perfect ideal MM3 is a 3D level editor, and I don’t mean like the 3D World style in MM2 Of course it’s gonna be difficult to create the level editor and for users to create 3D levels
A few things I would like to see And concepts for them Enemies Shy guy Normal: He works exactly like smb2(USA) but in all game modes Ninja form (or just ninjis): An extremely unique enemy If you place him down there are two blocks one start one end. if you do nothing with it he walks from start to finish no matter what but under it's form menu you can see a play button, if you press it you start to play from the start point and need to go to the finish point this being recorded (just like niji speedruns) when the level is played the ninji/ninja shy guy just does what you did. You can also give yourself item. If you give yourself mushrooms the player can defeat the ninji/ninja shy guy. I have an idea for how placeable water can be implemented in Mario Maker 3. My idea is the water bubble block. It's a ground block that when placed looks like a circle of water you can swim in. If you place more water bubble blocks next to each other, they all connect to each other in one big bubble. Then you can cover the round corners with ground blocks, making it look like a puddle of water. The water bubble block can be turned into a lava, poison, acid, and quicksand bubble block as well. I also have an idea for hiding secrets. My idea is the hidden ground block. If you touch it, you go through it and can see yourself behind it. It's useful for hiding machines and stuff.
I agree with everything other than one, I think New Super Mario Bros. 2 could be there instead of one of them. The game style could have the coin roulette block, star coins, golden flower, the purple spiky fish that follow you (not the huge one from 3D World), the tight ropes featured in the sky world, and so much more.
Some extra things I would like to see in Mario Maker 3 include; A Kyogre Amiibo costume, oh wait everything else was listed in the video lol. Although for the better world maker it might be more realistic to expect up to 8 levels per world.
I want editor back, spin carrying in smw, start over from checkpoint, prompts asking if you're sure you want to exit / start over after a cp (clear checks already do this if you click edit and have unsaved changes), and other things like burners that permanently stay active or switch with on off switches like you said, the mm1 muncher hitbox back (spikes are fine imo), a way to toggle invincibility frames in the editor like you can with your trail, amiibo costumes, lanky mushroom, the heavy blocks and toad caravans from story mode, and the extended death sounds that played when you fell in pits in mm1 sometimes. some are a much higher priority to me and most are just something that'd be nice to have but I'm not dying for :P
I don’t think that new super Mario bros would be a good choice for the original 4 themes because the new super mario series is already represented. I think a super Mario land 2 golden coins art style with maybe an option to have colour or not. Super Mario bros 2 USA is a good choice and so is Mario odyssey. I think the metroid, kirby or link power up’s should be there own themes and not power ups The theme exclusive items is not a good idea for Mario maker since it goes against the original game’s philosophy of mixing anything together. The sequel kinda strayed away with 3d world which i dont really like. Tanooki leaf and lucky bell kinda suck. Some course themes i want Mountain Beach Cookie/Candy (One of the 3d world level’s use this Volcano Tower Painting (The van go level from New Soup My most wanted thing is probably never going to happen but i want a sort of creator tool where you can make course parts and share them online in a sort of market place but nothing costs money. This would be difficult but cool. Starcoins would be cool and so would roulette block. Cool video, really like it! Sub to me and this channel!

Mario Maker 3 would have to distinguish itself from the previous entries. I prepose reworking themes so that the options of background, block tiles, and special mechanics can all be chosen independently of one another. We could have a castle in the clouds, or a flooded ghost house, or a low gravity cave, or an air ship in a windy blizzard.
These are good ideas. One of the biggest things I think smm3 needs is updates to the super worlds. 1, maybe more levels per world, 7-8 could work. 2, a search system for the worlds like course levels. 3, you should be able to name and add descriptions to the worlds.
also, some ideas for an odyssey. I think the Course themes could be cool.

I think there should be something called "Sub-themes" these would be a mix of themes. Sandy Sky, Frozen cavern, volcano cavern, sky castle, Overworld cave, Haunted jungle, Abandoned ship, sunk ship, underwater castle, etc.
How about a theme mixer? That could add your frozen cavern with snow + underground, and you could have stuff like sky castle, or beach mountain, or underwater castle, all that
The night time gimmick could be to just fuze the 2 themes gimmick as one, so underwater castle, would just be dark, as you can’t be underwater whilst underwater. So like the icy cavern idea

Some other things you didn't mention I would love to see:
Get rid of the vertical/horizontal toggle and make it just open. Like the height is the most it can be and the width is the most it can be all times
Also, option to make more sub-areas. We currently can have 1 sub-area, it would be nice to have 2, 3, 4 etc
Make the option to add more than 1 exit, so we can have secret exits. Don't limit exits to the main area, and make it possible for a boss to be the end of a level.
Add more customizations to boss (attacks, health points, difficulty etc)
Make music more customizable, make ground tiles more flexible and please get rid of having the night themes being necessarily different in mechanics and music
Make water and lava tiles, and get rid of the obligatory water/lava on forest/castle
Make one-way pipes, make launch pipes, hidden walls etc
Make screen lock something easier to do
Make star coins available as parts to use
Give us the option to choose what happens to the player when game over on a Super World
Add even more foreground decorations to have in tiles etc, and make them not random
add more slope options
Text blocks would be amazing too
Well, these are just some other things. If Nintendo implemented everything you said in this video plus everything I said here, then I would say we would definitely have an improved Mario Maker experience

Yeah, I agree with this list completely. Your definitely one of my favorite underrated channels.
Idea: theme merging.
There are 8 main themes: Grassland, Desert, Snow, Beach, Jungle, Mountain, City, and Volcano.
Each of those has 6 sub themes: Ground, Underground, Sky, Ghost House, Airship, and Castle. This makes for 48 themes per gamestyle, though there won’t be 48 tracks of music. Every sub-theme will have their own song, except for ground, and beach-underground, which is underwater.
Some notable combos: Beach-Airship is a sea ship. Beach-castle is flooded. Beach-Ghost house is a shipwreck. Jungle-underground is a partially flooded cave. Beach-underground is underwater. City-underground is a sewer. Desert-Ghost house is a pyramid. Jungle-Ground, Jungle-ghost house, and Jungle-Castle have poison. All desert themes except sky and airship have quicksand.
P.S. Fluid is toggle-able.
Other cool ideas include: Super Mario Land 2 theme. It would be a standard theme and would replace odyssey as the third new theme, as I feel like odyssey wouldn’t work in 2D due to it’s source game not being a 2D game with an extra axis like 3D world. It’s power ups would be the carrot and the super ball flower. Ice flower in all styles, as a variant of the fire flower. The power armour and gold mushroom should not exist, and will promptly be removed. The amiibo costumes will replace the smb2 mushroom, and the Weird mushroom will return as a variant of the mushroom in smb1, as well as having a 1 in 1000 chance to replace the regular mushroom. Smb2’s powerups would be the potion which grants invisibility for 10 seconds, and the Magic carpet which allows Mario to fly for 10 seconds.
To me the perfect Mario maker should allow you to perfectly recreate any 2d Mario game effects and all, like clearly the technology is there they already did it, they just need to put it into an editor and Bam Mario maker 3, also bring back mystery mushrooms they were awesome

This is a really good and pretty realistic list. Personally there's two things that stuck out to me though, for the fourth course world I would replace the haunted woods with the pipe world. I haven't played any of the DS games so I'm going on a whim, but I'm pretty sure the pipe level has been featured in more games and is more unique. Another one is the item roulette block could be abused in making "impossible" levels. People could easily keep re-trying levels until they get the power up that's requires to beat the level and overall it could be to unpredictable for Nintendo. Once again though, good video

Those twisters are okay but they aren't powerful enough and can only be placed on ground pipes, pipes attached to walls or the roof, can't have them.
Springs only allow you to jump higher, Trampolines catapult you into the air and allow you to spin down to the ground slowly.

I’d like to see:
1) MORE FREEDOM : All assets available in all styles. Freely mix and match night gimmicks and win conditions.
2) BETTER MULTIPLAYER : Better servers, multiplayer-specific parts, and revamped win condition system allowing for things like battle stages and mini games.
3) NEW CHARACTERS : Link was the coolest thing added to SMM2. So in addition, now you can play as Kirby or Samus, who play like their respective games. Play entirely as these characters, not as a powerup, using their health system (like hearts for Link). Kirby can copy abilities from existing enemies like gaining Needle from Spinies or Pokeys.
4) NEW STYLES : SMB2, Legend of Zelda, Kirby’s Dream Land, and Metroid, with a host of content from those games.
5) BETTER DISCOVERY : More options to find and curate levels, and a more robust Super World system.

They probably didn't add an SMB2 game style because it's basically a reskin of Doki Doki Panic.
Also it would be cool to add the tower theme, but it would only really work with vertical areas.
There are 6 main things I would want in super mario maker 3. First are mega + mini mushrooms (for all styles) that could increase and decrease enemy and player size respectively. Second an indestructible crate like block, similar to the heavy block from story mode, that could activate p-switches, kill enemies, jump/walked on, etc. Third, foreground + background non solid blocks that are one for decoration, and foreground blocks could be used to create hidden areas. Fourth is placable water/lava, for obvious reasons. Fifth is an ice flower, not penguin suit sorry. Lastly a color block; an indestructible block that's purpose is to allow for more decoration.
Wouldnt it be cool if we could combine game styles and themes. We could have yoshi and the goomba shoe in one level and crrate an icy desert or a ghost airship as examples.

Also I don't know how to put it, but Square Levels, Length of a Overworld Level and Height of a Vertical Sub-World. Boss Fight Stages, Stages which are only and instantly beaten when (a) Certain boss(es) is/are defeated. Boss Doors and One Way doors (Doors which only lead to one area and disappears on another area, like how classic door works), Speaking of doors I would also like an On/Off Door. Not ending on door, I would also like more than 4 doors like 6-8 doors at least. I think number of Pipes is enough.
Let's talk about On/Off in General, We would like On/Off Pipes, Question Mark Blocks and Burners (On/Off Invisible block would be too nasty). Crates in classic styles. I think adding that in a sequel is possible.
Three things we need back from Original Game is 1. Amiibo Costumes, 2. Enemy Ricochet 3. PIPE STACKING. I should stop now, Sorry for long comment.

I feel like the switch should also be added to world maker. It would be cool to have to clear a couple of levels, hit a switch, then go back to the gate. Mabye you could have 6 switches and 2 gates per world and you can link specific switches to certain gates. This would work really well with the bigger world map you talked about
Hop chomps are already in the 2nd Mario maker
Some other enemies that could be added are the Huckit Crab which would fit really well with the beach theme and the Fizzlit which would be exclusive the the Super Mario 3D World style.

●The roulete block could be obtained by puting 1 to ??? Thing's in an ice block (and yes, that might slightly or completly change it's design) just like how you would put it in a question mark block, brick block, etc.

Here’s some ideas for night versions of your corse theme predictions. Beach: small waves in the water that push the player back. Mountain:spikes throw rocks that only move if they’re on a slope pokeys are made of rocks. lava/volcano:large fireballs falling from the sky. Haunted:boos and dry bones are faster

What if in the Super Mario Odyssey style, you put the start/end (the odyssey) wherever you want, and you put moons around the world, so one level could be like an entire kingdom. That would make cool non-linear levels because letting you put the start wherever you want would make starting off the level much easier. Like imagine a non-linear ground level where you collect moons, but can go underground to get the other half of the moons.
Or they could add an open world mode to the game? Like Metroid or castlevania

They should add a button, something like "World Settings" that will allow the player to change things such as Gravity, Character Selection for Single Player, and other useful and perhaps strange things.
Same with the world editor, but not the same settings, Hide Levels (the player needs to find a secret door/pipe that will bring them to a secret goal to unlock the hidden level, this will also hide the path to it), Carry Power-ups (like from all games lol, have a mushroom and yoshi in one level, then in the next, getting to a castle level will get rid of yoshi until you beat it or die), Restart on Game Over (upon a game over the player will be sent back to the beginning of the world they are in), and other things I can't remember.
If the 3rd suggestion World Settings seem a little harsh, then maybe they could add some sort of checkpoint system into the world maker.
Great ideas! The world maker was not the best in Mario Maker 2, I wish there was another update that added more features.

Things i would add not in the video, a switch that makes platforms disappear/reappear (like the first castle in nsmb world 8), bowser statues from new super mario bros 2, pretty unique item from that game imo lol, it would shoot fire that goes straight, but can be adjusted to shoot blue fire, which is faster, and purple, which homes in on you if you get close, it also shoots fire from a far distance, similar to bowser, but the location will always be the same, Dry bowser, a bowser who throws bones, and is immune to lava and fire
Edit: one more thing, id actually like to see mystery costumes in mario 3 instead of mario 1, mario 1 already has a ton of power ups, and mario 3 is clearly the least popular, also id like every costume to be obtainable in some way without amiibo lol, while still keeping support

An extremely unique enemy
If you place him down there are two blocks one start one end. if you do nothing with it he walks from start to finish no matter what but under it's form menu you can see a play button, if you press it you start to play from the start point and need to go to the finish point this being recorded (just like niji speedruns) when the level is played the ninji/ninja shy guy just does what you did. You can also give yourself item. If you give yourself mushrooms the player can defeat the ninji/ninja shy guy. The amount of jumps the player need to defeat the niji/ninja shy guy is equal to the amount of mushrooms given to the niji/ninja shy guy
Last but not least if you overlap an end button with a start button then nija shy guy just will continue on his path
Mini goombas
They are small goombas that swarm and kill you unless you defeat them by either jumping three times in quick succession or spin jumping depending on the style
they can be placed inside of other enemies they are spawned from it when it is in the air and when it's defeated
They come in three different varieties named after how many it takes to kill you

I have an idea for how placeable water can be implemented in Mario Maker 3. My idea is the water bubble block. It's a ground block that when placed looks like a circle of water you can swim in. If you place more water bubble blocks next to each other, they all connect to each other in one big bubble. Then you can cover the round corners with ground blocks, making it look like a puddle of water. The water bubble block can be turned into a lava, poison, acid, and quicksand bubble block as well.
I also have an idea for hiding secrets. My idea is the hidden ground block. If you touch it, you go through it and can see yourself behind it. It's useful for hiding machines and stuff.
I would like a super Mario land 2 style personally.
I agree with everything other than one, I think New Super Mario Bros. 2 could be there instead of one of them. The game style could have the coin roulette block, star coins, golden flower, the purple spiky fish that follow you (not the huge one from 3D World), the tight ropes featured in the sky world, and so much more.
Some extra things I would like to see in Mario Maker 3 include; A Kyogre Amiibo costume, oh wait everything else was listed in the video lol. Although for the better world maker it might be more realistic to expect up to 8 levels per world.

I want editor back, spin carrying in smw, start over from checkpoint, prompts asking if you're sure you want to exit / start over after a cp (clear checks already do this if you click edit and have unsaved changes), and other things like burners that permanently stay active or switch with on off switches like you said, the mm1 muncher hitbox back (spikes are fine imo), a way to toggle invincibility frames in the editor like you can with your trail, amiibo costumes, lanky mushroom, the heavy blocks and toad caravans from story mode, and the extended death sounds that played when you fell in pits in mm1 sometimes. some are a much higher priority to me and most are just something that'd be nice to have but I'm not dying for :P
I don’t think that new super Mario bros would be a good choice for the original 4 themes because the new super mario series is already represented. I think a super Mario land 2 golden coins art style with maybe an option to have colour or not. Super Mario bros 2 USA is a good choice and so is Mario odyssey. I think the metroid, kirby or link power up’s should be there own themes and not power ups
The theme exclusive items is not a good idea for Mario maker since it goes against the original game’s philosophy of mixing anything together. The sequel kinda strayed away with 3d world which i dont really like.
