Screen Replacement for a Motorola G Pure XT2163

- Today we have a Motorola G Pure with a badly damaged screen. The LCD is cracked and the touch works intermittently. We will replace the screen and frame, and move the components from the original frame over to the new one.

will the phone still power up if the fingerprint sensor is unhooked, I ripped the cable getting the back cover off, no power up.
Makes it looks so easy - the "remove back cover" step is next to impossible - don't be fooled by the video -
I thought that part looked easy. Remove back cover, easy. Unscrew some screws, easy. Pull out all these components and set aside, uh. Apply heat to flex cable and pry loose, wait what? Apply alcohol to battery, nope I'm out.
Can’t take battery out. Alcohol 91% doesn’t work :/

following along, at 2:15 I couldn't figure out why the hell my motherboard wouldn't come out. kept prying the hell out of it until eventually I figured it out when I broke my damn sim card tray! Thanks for not mentioning that step!!
Hi! It’s the second step, shown at the 0:24 mark, right after powering down the phone. I’m sorry that happened to you though.
aww damn I guess it's my fault. now my signal drops all the time, and takes a long time to reconnect (still shows signal technically, just doesn't have connection, which must be sim card auth issues). IDK what I broke. The sim tray was a little bent but I was able to straighten it out. I guess maybe I damaged the part it goes into on the board... fixed the screen but broke the phone, damn@@colchesterphonerepair3835

We help us? I have 2 of these, one original blocked, turns everything on and the other broken screen. Your technical friend could change the screen for me and the colleague here, his material that broke

I put the earpiece speaker on wrong. Contact tabs did jot make contact with plate and did not work untill I turnrdit around.
Good tutorial but you should have definitely stress a little more how important the alcohol is I was praying on my battery punctured it and it started a fire 😢
