Awesome video....saves me $200.....i bought my kit from Amozon I did not come with instructions but this video saved me...i did not have a heat gun , so I skipped a few steps but followed pretty much all the instructions...thank you and good luck to anyone who uses this video
I wish you would've warned me about the screen being in 2 pieces. I pryed off the top layer and cracked the LCD screen. Other than that, it was a great tutorial, and a cracked screen is better than a shattered screen lol
Man....... i was going to attempt this but after watching this video I think I just may spend the money having a pro do it. awesome video though. They don't make things easy these days do they ? i suppose as tech advances so is thelevel of difficulty in repairing. Thank God for the people like you that are willing to share your knowledge and make it possible for someone to do this that is willing to take on the challenge. but what I learned from this video is that I should just hire a professional
Lmao 🤣🤣 that's what I said 🤣🤣 I would have messed up something great video but that's a lot of work and patience. I'll just spend that $90 to get my daughter's phone fixed LoL
Good video. My Moto G Stylus recently had its screen smashed beyond all usability, and there are still quite a few files sitting in the internal storage that I'd very much hate to lose (never backed them up with Google so I can't recover them that way). There are a few recovery methods I'm going to try out but if none of them pan out, I might just buy a new screen and follow this guide. Beats paying upwards of $200 to have Geek Squad recover it for me.
Would this work on a moto 5G that's showing signs of a broken lcd? My phone was cracked then I got water in the cracks now it's black with a white line?
How do you start the part of prying it open tho? What's the step between heating it up and pulling off the back? What do you use to prying it for the initial starting point?
How much would you charge? I'd send you mine.. might make for a good video. I'm using it currently with clear tape all over it. It's shattered (dropped 9 stories 🏢) works beautifully but got a big chip on top right that'd needed shaved a little to make screen fit again. Just wondering ..anyone have a clue?
I thank you from the bottom of my heart 😂 i cannot hold onto a phone for more than 3 weeks without breaking the screen. I tried this myself, but knew nothing about the heat. Awesome, thanks.
Man I might just forget fixing it with all these steps you gotta do just to change out the screen. I guess I'll put up with the crack. But if I ever do get brave enough to try it, would a hair dryer work for a heat gun?
you forgot to put that tape back on, also please show where to put the glue, maybe move the cameras further up idk what the setup is this helped a lot though so thanks
The battery removal part was hard to watch because it started flexing and now I'm hoping it wasn't damaged in the process and can still hold great battery life
The Motorola engineer that decided to have the power/volume flex go between the midframe and the screen should be mauled by a gorilla..... What an absolute dick move to put that there.
I can do this kind of stuff but I just thought I'd take my three phones to get the glass repaired at the mall that took 2 weeks and a phone call asking if I had the password to the phone to fix my screens? Hell no you don't need that I said and after getting the phones back within 2 weeks paying $300 they came completely unglued. I called and told him how much of a crappy job they did they asked me to bring them in so they can fix them I said hell to the no I'm watching this video right I'm going to fix it myself
The mall usually isn't the best place to get a phone fixed. Sorry to hear about your troubles. Always look for a reputable location. Ask questions check, Google reviews and most of all make sure they can fix your phone same day or with in the 24 hour period. People that know how to fix phones can fix 10 of them the same day if it takes them 2 weeks to fix one phone obviously its the wrong place to go. Thanks for bringing it up. Wish you the best.
@@bluelighttechsolutions4119 I replace the phone screen but touch is not working is it possible the screen replacement was the wrong one it looks different then original?
Pay attention to Manufacturing guidelines... Know what you are looking at; is it a Clip, Vacume, Notch, or Slip Brace.... a heating pad would be a better choice than the Hand blower.. Although you have the experience with the hand blower.. Heating Plate helps you to do the removal much cleaner quicker and with less intrusion to the Pivot Heat technic.
that is not the moto stylus 2021 ...that phone is the moto g stylus 2021 5g.,,i needed help replacement power button on moto g stylus 2021.,, but not the 5g
Good video.. bit you a bit rough around the edges.. but good job.. As someone whom owned repair centers and have taught many techs... if you were my student I would say "slow down"... other than that you got this! 👍
I really enjoy this phone and it's very practical for what I use it for.. right down to COD Mobile. Saved me lots of money just having my screen repaired
For starters out there want to changes it by yourself please always unplug the battery before removing anything else always unplug the battery before testing the lcd because u don't want to hve buy a new lcd that u short killer it..
Easy to follow video, but yes you are going to need to be very patient. I think am going to pay the guy $90 bucks down the street to repair it because I don't want to mess up my daughter's phone any more than it already is 😅 I'll mess around and 🫠 melt the phone and won't put anything back where it belongs. smdh 🤦🏾@ myself
What can I do if the screen simply isn't working anymore 🥲 Please help me I really don't know what to do, it got ghost touches after the cracks got water and now the screen has a bunch of lines and is almost always black
If you got your phone water damaged depends how much but Best thing is to buy a new phone, Because a professional repair would cost you 110 or more and it might fix your screen but sooner or later your overall phone will stop working some how. Might take weeks or months but your phone won't be the same. So just think about it and make your right decision
@@bluelighttechsolutions4119 ah ok, thanks for the comment, do you think there's any way of getting the data on it? I was looking online and an lcd screen is 30$, is it worth my time and money to just fix it for now, and get the data backed up?
If the phone still charges and or turns on like if your phones rings or alarms or notifications are coming than you can take to professional for repair. Your data is worth 100 dollars I would say but if it's not showing any signs of turning on than I wouldn't bother. This is a little tougher repair I would not try it if you haven't fixed many phones

Do i really have to take everything out for a simple screen repair?
Just fixed my phone following this. Thank you 😊
This helps because i have a Moto G stylus that severely needs a screen repair.
There is no need to remove the bottom cover on the back of the phone just remove the battery, the cable is directly under the battery.
