Good deed. I just fixed my son's phone with this video. I did a lot of research before I went ahead and bought one. I noticed they sell the complete back of Motorola or just the screen. I bought the complete back and it's really easy. The pieces that wouldn't stick, I used very little school glue and it turned on. It took a few minutes to process but it works. Thankfully for this video to help me walk through the steps.
TY for the video. It was spot on. Only one problem i had. ❗❗Anyone who tries this DON'T PRY UP BATTERY WITH TWEEZERS I POKED A HOLE IN MINE❗❗ It sparked up and almost caught fire. Its ok ill order a new battery, but wanted to thank you and save someone the mistake I made.
Thank you. I just fixed my phone that broke after only 3 days of having. Paid $42 for the new screen on eBay. Watched your video and did exactly what you did and it is just like new. You earned a new subscriber! Keep up the great work.
Thanks for being so thorough and helpful in the dissassembly of the pure - Great job! If I can send you two pures one with a broken screen and one that won't unlock with a great screen to replace how much will the charge be ?
The best at spelling out the knowledge to get the job done and in English at that!! So many have English titles then speak another language in the video. You've earned my subscription!!
I know how to replace a lcd with digitizer and frame. I need to take just the glass shell off, what would you suggest to get it done. take off everything or does the glass top come off alone?
Question...can I swap a Assurance wireless version with a Cricket wireless version? (Edit)____yes it can. Attempt was a success. Swapped motherboard and kept everything else as is.
Hahahahahah my phone works. Only complaint, you didn't mention the screw for the bottom board and I was peeling at it because you kept saying clips. Finally saw the screw and everything else was flawless. 4/5 star rating old RUclips style. Lol
Great video. Question, i cant get the power/volume button and strip to stay in place when putting it in the new screen frame. What adhesive can i use? Thank you?
Only ran into 1 problem so far. When I’m trying to reattach the power/volume buttons, there is no adhesive on the back of it, so it’s not staying in place 😩
I replaced the screen before I screw everything in and stuck the new battery in place I tested it and it worked. I then stuck everything in place and screwed it in place. The screen did not work but the sound came on. I took it back apart and checked all connections, put it back together and nothing happens. I plugged it in and the led blinks. Did I do something wrong or did I miss a step
I have 2 of these phones .one is activated with a cracked screen and the other could not be activated, i was told to dispose of it. if I removed the mother board from one and put it in the other would it still essentially be the same phone?
After watching this video I think you are who I need to talk to. I have a Motorola g pure XT 2163DL phone The screen is black the only way I can see any thing is if I hold it under a strong light source at an angle even then I can hardly see any thing. Is there any thing that I can do to fix this issue? Can it be fixed.Or do I need to take it in to be fixed. And money is an issue I may not be able to afford to pay to get it fixed . Can you help me ? I will book mark this page and check now and then.
What is the white powder on the back of the motherboard and what is it on the phone for? I removed that substance. Can that cause the phone to short circuit, send signals to the phone that you did not choose to send like power off, etc?
It is called thermal paste. It's main purpose is to transfer heat away from an electronic component such as a processor. It is not electronically conductive but it's best not to get it on other components, just to be safe.
Hi question I just replace the screen but the phone wont turn on, however it charges fine and can see the percentage .power volume flex cable seems fine but may be did damage during removal! will appreciate any advise thanks so much
Where do I buy the screen I also have a moto g pure I just cracked mines it's not bad though but tryna gone get a new screen before it spreads and get bad
I was wondering where the small rubber square piece goes that was still on the table after you finished putting the phone back together. I had the same piece left over and I don't know where it goes.
Great video my screen on my Moto g pure got cracked today as I dropped it on the asphalt at Rural King in Heath Ohio and I'm hoping to get it repaired or replaced soon

I appreciate slowly going over how to disassemble and reassemble all the components, but when it came to the actual screen itself, it was a draw the rest of the fucking owl moment. You literally cut the film from removing that last gasket to just peeling the plastic off the front of the new screen. How do you take the old screen off? What does the new screen stick to? This video leaves those questions unanswered.
His video showed a screen with frame repair. What you need to look for is a screen only video. Usually it is the same except you would remove the screen from the frame. If frame is worth reusing. Best to also test new screen first.
1) Good thing I have a complete Torx set, so I can try them all, until I find the right size... Oh wait, I don't. Well good thing you guys mentioned the size, so I can order one... Oh wait, you didn't. So now, instead of ordering a single screwdriver, or even just one bit, I have to buy a whole set... 2) What if I don't have enough money to buy the replacement screen/chassis unit, and can only afford the screen, no frame? Could have used a complete teardown, all the way past the chassis, to the actual LCD. Seeing how to do that would give us the knowledge to be able to order just the screen, no frame, and save about $5... In short? Be more detailed, and complete with tool types, names and sizes, and do the most complete teardowns possible. Especially when there are more complete, and less complete versions of the part you're replacing. The inner frame, that allows the pcb's to mount onto the screen? Well there are replacement screens available, for less $$, that come without one. Always do the most cost effective, verses complete version of the repair.
OMG..My phone is now destroyed. Quit making it look so simple. For first timers assist them more in removing battery. And my new screen is just a screen. How come u got all that shit in the backside of your new screen? Mine is glass only.

Now what is that strip underneath the battery after you remove the battery just in case it gets ripped by accident

Check to see if top speaker is in the correct way. Sometimes the contact pins are up and sometimes down. Its easy to put it in the wrong way.
How about when you don't have new screen at home and you want to fix it whit the same screen
If it’s cracked that is not possible
if model numbers match but the 2 letters at the end dont match up dose that matter

do you have video on how to get free wifi
I wish but no 😔
How the hell did you do that so quickly I can't take out my sim
Screen is not broken but I can't use the touch screen only side buttons work is there a solution or does it need to be replaced 🤔
It needs to be replaced.
Great video but how do you remove the back housing plate since my screen didn't come with it
You can use a Card, alcohol and heat gun
