Thanks! The ram is soldered onto the board. For an average end user would not be possible to change, only a professional with soldering would be able to de solder the ram and replace it.

They are just different types of adhesive, both can be used to re adhere the back to the phone. However its always best to use the original pre cut adhesive made for the phone instead of those generic ones you need to cut down yourself. But for this phone, I can't seem to find just the pre cut adhesive for it listed online anymore, however you can order a battery door cover/backplate which comes with the adhesive pre installed, so you can apply it on easily. Hi, you can heat it up with a hair dryer and just peel off that broken lens cover to replace. Its held on with adhesive and doesn't require disassembling the phone. They are doing it just like Samsung if the charging port is damage at least it's not soldered to the motherboard it's connected via flex cable easy to repair very good 👍

You're welcome. You would just need to pry the back plate/cover off and then pry off the cover over the stylus enclosure to gain access to removing the broken stylus.

Well...used a different plastic pry tool and got it started then used the plastic picks to finish the job. Unfortunately...there's probably a bit too much corrosion (took a swim with me for 1 hour; it's been sitting in a bag of rice the last week, but still wet inside; most visible corrosion was under the fingerprint reader and the center screw on the speaker assembly) for me to salvage it - at least with my experience level of working on these; I'll probably let it dry out and try assembly, but it's probably going to be a backup device now if I do recover it. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
For the heat, just enough to be hot to the touch and you apply more heat as needed while working on prying it off. As for water damage, use a small brush like a tooth brush to brush off any corrosion around chips or connectors. Also let it dry out. Then re assemble and see if it works. If not, you can swap out parts like battery, screen etc to see which part may be faulty. If its the board then you're probably out of luck.

I'm not sure if you will get this comment notification but is the power button replaceable if I've totally dug it out....lol. turned it on with a foreign object for too long and now it wont power up. I've also tried several ways to boot it up but nothing works. Am I going to have to replace the whole screen?
You probably wore out the clicker on the flex cable. So you would need to replace the power button flex cable as well as the power button itself. However, it does require prying off the screen which poses a high chance of damaging it. You can attempt it before going the route of replacing the screen assembly combo with button etc. You would need to apply heat with a hair dryer to loosen the adhesive under the screen, and use a suction cup tool to gain leverage and get a thin pry tool in between the screen n frame to work your way around prying it off. But careful not to go to deep or you will damage the screen. You can use b7000 glue to re adhere the screen to the frame. Hi, if there is any water or moisture inside, its best to turn it off and not attempt to use it until you can take it apart and dry/clean out any water or moisture inside since it can cause a short and damage the parts rendering them not usable. Once you take it apart and clean off any water, you need to use a small brush like a tooth brush and brush off any corrosion on components or connectors. Then re assemble the phone and continue to use it :)
What is the small hole on the top of the phone? I was thinking it was for the sim card and kept pressing on it with the sim tool. Did I damage anything?
It's the secondary microphone, your phone comes with two microphones, one at the bottom next to the charger port and one at the top. The simcard injector is right next to the sim card tray.

Yes, You need to: - Take the back shell off and the battery out (the video ribbon cable feeds though a small opening behind the battery). - Remove the front glass screen. I found that removing the back shell, battery and glass screen was difficult due to the glue holding them in place. You'll need to apply heat to the perimeter of them and use a fine flat tool to pry them out. It's not easy, take your time. I had to break a small corner of the glass screen so I could pry it out. Also, I'd recommend removing all of the old glue and apply some new glue (T-7000). One more thing, make sure that your new screen works by installing it and the battery cable.
yes, once the back plate is removed, the plastic cover over the stylus chamber is held down with adhesive. You need to heat that up also and pry it off then you will have access to removing the broken stylus.

You would need to take the phone apart and replace the filter covering the holes on the inside of the frame for the bottom speaker, and see if it helps. If the speaker itself has gotten damaged, that would need to be replaced as well. Not sure if they sell the filter replacements though, so you might need to find some sort of mesh filter to use. I only want to replace the battery that's bulging out. The case cover is what's holding it together, etc protection on art only as sides are opened. I just wanna skip in new one but in ebay. Save this cell as still getting a new one anyhow. Just to keep it alive pics, etc. The back is warped open anyhow only sealed edges & the case holding it. Ok so I gave ro remove allot b4 take battery off. I wish was just easy in swap out connect. Ugh. Dang it the finger print cable got broken cuz of this issue. I don't use it anyhow. I don't like that idea. I am old school as far as this cuz less collected about me the better or that. It's cool & all, but sad I can't use it. I have it & never got to try it. I should have .I tried it one sec on a other cell I used to have. Be at mind. On The 21st etc I'll get it from eBay & I can replace it. I don't want to remove all. I will just do the battery. Seems easy enough & pop new in, but I don't want to remove front, etc. That won't be good or cracked screen etc, cuz doing that to tablet broke it. The battery really puffed up & the screen didn't work it wasn't perfect replacement & then that happened. After 8 months that bought on Best Buy on holiday in 2017 or 2018. Omg it has adhesive. You can try using a size bigger screw driver to try and unscrew it but if it's too badly stripped, you would need to use a drill bit that's small enough to fit in the screw head and drill into it slightly so it breaks off the screw head.

If you are referring to the 5G modem, most of the time they are under one of the shields on the main board which are soldered down to the main board and not easy to remove to be able to show it. In most cases the board will become damaged trying to remove the none removable shields. Some phones some of the shields are removable but usually those removable ones are only by the processor and memory.

Its confusing since there are many different models with same naming, there is a G stylus, G stylus 2021 and a moto g stylus 5G 2021 etc it goes on lol. Make sure to double check which version you have by checking on the box or in settings for the model number which starts with XT-
Too bad the touch screen on my 5g moto g stylus 2021 isn't working anymore. I wonder why it isn't working anymore? I accidentally did drop it multiple times on the back plastic part. I think something may be loose which is the cause. Now I bought the 4G version of this phone and to me the 4G is the better phone.
It could be from moisture/water damage, or other damage from a drop. You can try to take it apart if you are able to, to see if there is a loose or disconnected cable.

The moisture indicators are there to let you know if there's possible water damage to any components
I think it's to indicate if any water gets inside where the components are located, to ensure if the parts are damaged or not.

That is what connects the charging port to the motherboard I believe. It was mentioned in another video.
One of the wires is an antenna wire. Not sure what the other one is for, possibly to link power between the boards?

You need to:

How do I get my stylus pen out? It got stuck yesterday. Also the tip broke before that. I haven't even had the phone 2 months yet.
You would need to pry off the back plate, then peel off the plastic cover that is covering the stylus housing and you would be able to remove it.

I only want to replace the battery that's bulging out. The case cover is what's holding it together, etc protection on art only as sides are opened. I just wanna skip in new one but in ebay. Save this cell as still getting a new one anyhow. Just to keep it alive pics, etc. The back is warped open anyhow only sealed edges & the case holding it. Ok so I gave ro remove allot b4 take battery off. I wish was just easy in swap out connect. Ugh. Dang it the finger print cable got broken cuz of this issue. I don't use it anyhow. I don't like that idea. I am old school as far as this cuz less collected about me the better or that. It's cool & all, but sad I can't use it. I have it & never got to try it. I should have .I tried it one sec on a other cell I used to have. Be at mind. On The 21st etc I'll get it from eBay & I can replace it. I don't want to remove all. I will just do the battery. Seems easy enough & pop new in, but I don't want to remove front, etc. That won't be good or cracked screen etc, cuz doing that to tablet broke it. The battery really puffed up & the screen didn't work it wasn't perfect replacement & then that happened. After 8 months that bought on Best Buy on holiday in 2017 or 2018. Omg it has adhesive. I forgot can't be that easy. I will try without first, cuz scared to put more moisture. I hope I can do this. I don't wanna take screws out, etc. So could just do it without ? Please tell me. Not clear. Looked at video over & over. Yeah strong adhesive till sun etc or battery pushes it out. Only having on from edges, cuz waiting to get battery to ta it off. I am scared to, but I'd rather try from side, but that's impossible so I'll deal with it. Then so idk till I get the battery & try it following the video. I have tools the screw driver from that tablet kirs so I'm ok with picke, etc.omg I have to remove it to get to the battery cable. Ugh. This sucks. Ok. I'll have to do it. What happens when u strip a screw?
You can try using a size bigger screw driver to try and unscrew it but if it's too badly stripped, you would need to use a drill bit that's small enough to fit in the screw head and drill into it slightly so it breaks off the screw head.
My stylus is stuck inside the phone and won't come off when pressing it

Hi, thanks. If you are referring to the 5G modem, most of the time they are under one of the shields on the main board which are soldered down to the main board and not easy to remove to be able to show it. In most cases the board will become damaged trying to remove the none removable shields. Some phones some of the shields are removable but usually those removable ones are only by the processor and memory.

My moto g stylus 2021 looks different?
Its confusing since there are many different models with same naming, there is a G stylus, G stylus 2021 and a moto g stylus 5G 2021 etc it goes on lol. Make sure to double check which version you have by checking on the box or in settings for the model number which starts with XT-
Too bad the touch screen on my 5g moto g stylus 2021 isn't working anymore. I wonder why it isn't working anymore? I accidentally did drop it multiple times on the back plastic part. I think something may be loose which is the cause. Now I bought the 4G version of this phone and to me the 4G is the better phone.
It could be from moisture/water damage, or other damage from a drop. You can try to take it apart if you are able to, to see if there is a loose or disconnected cable.

Use a small brush like a tooth brush to brush out the small hole on the bottom rim of the phone next to the charger port to make sure its not clogged with debris.
