Careful when taking off the logic board cover. I accidentally broke the cable to the fingerprint sensor. Ordered a replacement that will hopefully be better as it seems the original started to lose the ability to pickup fingerprints properly over time. I probably used some chemicals to clean it that I shouldn't have... anyway, just a heads-up. The fingerprint sensor (and cable) doesn't just move out of the way on it's own... so you have to be careful how you pry out the logic board cover (even though for mine it took quite a bit of force even with no screws left).

Having trouble taking off the back. Does it have to be well heated? Because I'm trying not to damage the phone, but it seems really impossible right now.

Where did the double sided "adhesive" to hold down the new battery come from? Took me by surprise and have no idea where to buy it.... Thank you.

I noticed some of the batteries sold on Amazon included the tools and the two strips of double-sided tape needed to remove the old battery and install the new one. I'd imagine, if you had to buy the tape separately, you might need to make sure that it is heat resistant but that's just my logical thinking and not my tech experience.

Why would you even use new adhesive for the battery? I wouldn't want to have to loosen it to replace it next time.

@@tlojewelrylove Thanks. I no longer own this phone. I do vaguely recall that I found the Amazon "tool kit" inside their packaging AFTER successfully completing all the repairs I was doing on the phone (including battery replacement). Ain't it always the way?

@@penetratingstain Good point. I recall thinking that after defeating the factory glue job, extracting the replacement battery from a little adhesive strip would be a piece of cake. It's all moot: I no longer own this phone.

would you advise doing that at 2:55 if you have a swollen battery?

No, Don't Do. Just Gently Pry the battery

I wish you would told us first to avoid the ribbon cables under the battery or at least shown the back of the old battery to see where the "old" glue was placed. Looks fairly straightforward but those things could help some people. Thanks!

We were using b7000, you can use t7000 or pre cut original adhesive
