i guess Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a tool to log back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost the account password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
@Kamryn Rory thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and im trying it out atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
I have a tip that might help anyone that is about to do this. I have a Droid force, so it might not apply, but if they are similar this will prevent u from damaging your screen and edges. I just got my phone taken apart and I did absolutely zero damage to the front screen or the edges in the process. I got the iFixit kit that included the battery and tools needed and I also read the instructions on the same website as well as watching all of these videos. The first thing you need to do is remember to be patient and take your time. The kit I got included a heating pad, but I ended up using a mini butane torch as well. I suppose a hairdryer would work too, but if you use a torch be very careful because you could obviously melt things. Anyway once you pry the two back plates off and expose the screws you will notice there are two holes in the top corners of the phone. They might be in different location on the z, but hopefully there are holes. These holes actually go through to the back of the front screen and you can push something in the holes in order to break the seal in the two top corners once you heat them up a little of course. Doing this will prevent you from damaging the front of your phone when you start prying. That is the most likely place where you will damage something if you don't do it this way. anyway I used a precision screwdriver to push through one of those holes and the front corner of the screen came up almost immediately and I just stuck a razor underneath there and then a plastic wedge that was included in the kit and just moved it around the edges. this work quite well because I didn't do any damage to my screen or the edges of the phone. Anyway, I hope this helps. If anyone has any questions just post on here
Marco Jr It's a bit different with the Force, because the display is much more "solid" having those layers of plastic over it whitch makes easier to open it up.. With simple Z display is extremely thin and made only from glass harder to open it up.
Thanks for one of the 'better' how to do videos. Have now done 2 screens and on it's 3 battery, I try not to use the original turbo charge wall adapter anymore to extend the battery life.. Just in passing to anyone undertaking a screen swop, BE VERY careful and don't flex the screen cable near to it's attachment on the screen, it easily crackes way from the digitizer, ask how I found that out!! Bit late leaving a comment, used your video over 3 years ago..👍☺
Amazing video! In fact, I replaced my Moto-Z when the battery went completely dead and now I really miss the Moto-Z (an excellent phone overall) and want to revive it. I watched your video and, with the confidence to follow your excellent video, I was able to remove the old battery without any problems. Now, I've just ordered a new battery and, when it arrives, it will be a simple matter of reassembling the phone according to the second half of the video.
Hello, SPJvideo! I m so glad to hear that!!! If you need more information or do you have any doubt when you ll install the new battery, please let me know, i'll be glad to help you! Thank you for watching and Merry Christmas!
Ditto, my Z battery could literally go from 99% to 0% in about 10 seconds. I've never had a phone with a battery *that* dead before. Interestingly I have another one that has excellent battery life. There must have been quality issues with these batteries in certain runs.
To free up the battery I found a bit of heat from a hot plate along with the thin plastic top of a pringles container cut to a 70mm diameter circle worked great. I would turn the circle which forced its way under the battery slightly. I then added some wd 40 to reduce friction and soften the glue. The Pringles plastic was .3mm thick.
I tried this method and thought I had fixed it. Phone worked perfectly... for about an hour. The screen slowly turned a shade of purple and then black. Petty sure its due to the heat. If I were going to do this again I probably wouldn't use heat, or maybe I'd apply 5 seconds of heat.
I'm sure, by now, you've probably bought a different phone but, beware, all phone manufacturers these days essentially do not offer any simple way of replacing a battery like the old, reliable, indestructible, classic Nokia phones from the late 90's to around 2013

hi MovilOne Phone Repair. I have the exact same phone you show on this video (Moto Z XT1650) and my battery has died. The phone can hardly stay on for a minute if it's not on power. Am not sure if I have the expertise to install the battery. Can you help me to install it? I am in Nairobi - Kenya.
I have a Moto Z and I know that the battery is specifically giving me issues as the battery is 100% toasted. The local phone repair stores apparently couldn't identify what type of phone it was and "Couldn't access the battery." There's a lot on this phone that I'm unable to pull off and transfer over due to it's battery since it will kill itself while plugged in. I don't have steady enough hands to do something like replacing the battery, I've sent this video to my dad who does model work in his free time so he could do it, I'll happily let him take out money to buy the battery. I'm a little worried that my phone is a ticking fire bomb at the moment...
Gracias
