Wow, you always amaze me how you treat your employees! Trucking business needs more owners like you. Treat a man like a decent human being and they will stick by you through thick and thin. All the best for 2022!
Just a farmers two cents. When you install the posts and electric for plugging in trucks look into timers for turning on the block heaters. We only have one truck but when I would plug it in all night you could see that on the electric bill. So I got an outdoor timer and plug my extension cord into that. Depending on how cold it's going to get I might set it to turn on 2 hours or sometimes longer before I want to leave. Way to save a little money.
I notice in all your videos your always rebuilding and repainting the kenworth while the peterbilts are always out working 🤣🤣 In my 35 year's the big thing I notice is you treat employees and drivers like family they'll stay forever, it's great you cook and spend time with them to let them know they are appreciated and that's why your successful in business, and your knowledge but mostly how you treat people, great video just. Keep them peterbilts rollin!
Now THAT'S how to treat your people, nice job Justin! The kind of good will that creates when you do nice things for your employees is priceless, and you don't have to do to much. Keep it up Justin, Happy New Year, stay safe and be well, God bless.
Wind chill aint a factor for machines. If it's 5 degrees out no matter how hard it blows the truck wont get any colder than 5 degrees. But I get what you're saying, I live in the cold myself and absolutely hate cold starts.
Enjoy your videos and love the fleet just an FYI our trucks are parked all in a row A couple years ago one of Pete’s caught fire burnt to the ground and damaged paint and lights on the two next to it It was electrical so I installed battery disconnect on each truck and the get turned off every night inside or out of the shop
Great operation you have built ! It's all First Class, hard work and being a good person pays off ! You really treat your people like family, that's wonderful !! Enjoyed you and your wife cooking with the help of your daughter too !! ( She's a cutie) Peace to you Brother !
We had a cold below zero and snow spell and now we have another below zero few days. Some places in the washington mountains had a couple feet of snow and the highway passes got closed, I think things are open again but not sure. Nice job cooking the food all looks great. I hope you get all the trucks in, it can be a risk but you have a new building with sprinklers and alarms so worth the risk. Stay safe and healthy, your young daughter ways to drive the forklift.
Justin you seem like a great guy . Keeping the trucks warm will extend the life of the truck . All the oils flow better and the seals will last longer . As you may already know besides the outside temperature the wind blowing on the trucks makes it even worse . Keep up the good work .
One important insurance factor is your claims history. We had combo of a dozen cars + Class 8 trucks. Just telling your carrier that the costs are stifling can result in a reduction in conjunction w/ improved driver safety program. (give & take) All major carriers subscribe to CLUE! That is a history sharing system where your COMPLETE history is known before you even apply. So if less than candid on the application, it is goodbye! When a company develops a relationship over time w/ ONE carrier, you will fair better w/ an incident. The company w/ a new carrier every year or two, chasing minor $ discounts, will get NO benefit of the doubt @ a claim. Unless the situation is untenable, unworkable, stick w/ a carrier that has come through for you in the past. Think this, who would you expect help from,? someone you just met or someone known for years, Business relationships differ little from personal ones. Know your agent, some are driven by the highest residual paid to the agent, Pick someone w/ scruples/loya!ity. Do NOT be moved to a new Carrier without Cause. The above applies to liability, workmanship comp coverage is a whole new discussion.
Correct but when insurance increases drastically like more than double there comes a time when you have to explore other options. Also I have to consider long term ….. and the future of the trucking industry ….. prices are going up over all
When he has a kw t 800 day cab with a wet line kit and says it's just a spare truck that's a good sign that they don't mess with junky trucks in my opinion kw and Peterbilt are hands down the best trucks you can get was in the dump truck business for nearly 20 and ran kenworrhs mostly and had great luck with them I have seen all kinds of problems with other brands that never happened with kw sterlings and macks were horrible on tires and saw a bunch of frame problems with sterlings
I look at it the same way. Give a giod driver a fully beautiful "show rig" and they shoukd take care of it. If not, they are tossed into the fleet models.
Air brakes on the trailer can still be an issue w/ sustained single digits even if the tractors have been heated. All air lines contain some moisture, air driers do not remove 💯
Bill try not setting the trailer brakes when so cold metholhydrate in lines when hooking up not that hard rookie try truck in Canada you would never make it
Haven't had anything to eat all day yet but you had to do it didn't you cooking!! Looked so good I could smell it here in Ohio yummy yummy 😋!! You have a Blessed weekend Great looking Family!! Be safe out there Brother Peace!!
Hey Justin! How are you doing? I hope everyone is doing well and your dad is well. Good video I almost jumped in the car when you showed the meat that you will be preparing. Anyway iam in New York but down in Queens but one day I will take a trip to check out the shop if it's OK. So take care stay safe and God Bless everyone. Until the next video PEACE ✌to you...
Hey there Justin, I hope you're all well and good! Man oh man that beef and pork tenderloin sure looked good! I noticed that your wife dresses similar to the Mennonite lady's here in our town, but you don't. I'm very good friends with one of our Mennonite families, and have been to their home and church many times throughout the years, and I have great admiration for their simpler way of life. I hope y'all have a good one! 👍🇺🇸
@@flintcreektransport My friends down here don't have TV and they would never approve of your doing RUclips, or that big silver watch you were sporting, no jewelry whatsoever.
What’s the oldest truck you run? I’m was looking to buy a 98 379 with a Detroit 12.7, It drove great, just needed quite a bit of things: head gasket, tires, air compressor, carrier bearing, etc.. I would love to run it OTR but it doesn’t compare to the creature comforts of these newer trucks
Are you going to put full electric post with like a street light type of thing with outlets underneath it so that way drivers can see?? Kind of like a Street light

Yes. We have another cold snap ….. but no sprinkler in our shop. It’s just under the size requirement ….

Put a switch on all the outlets, it prevents arcing when you plug the truck in and saves block heaters.

Nice Chef Justin. You're a great boss and create a great work environment. Food looks good.

Use the bed liner paint on your trucks under the cab and frame like you would paint the box of your pick up and the hoses. 👍
On the frame it traps the moisture in…….
If lived close love work in your shop. Appears you have have fine mechanics. Kudos to them
