I could watch you paint forever Steve, while my Multiple Sclerosis makes learning a bit more challenging I’ll never give up my love for painting 😊!
Excellent work and a good reminder not to take our sun for granted ~ without it there would be no life! Thanks 🌞🌎🌱
Hello from Greer, SC! I started my watercolor journey over four years ago at age 60, and yours was one of the first channels I found. I have learned so much from your tutorials, and I really appreciate your positive and encouraging delivery. This particular video is so inspiring. I love these old barns and buildings here in our area. I’ll give it a try. Thank you, Steve!
The light is what it's all about.! Beautiful! Thank you ❤️
I love how you make these old barns look amazing...The lighting is awesome. TFS
That was great.
you're such a talented artist and great teacher too. Thanks for explaining the process.
Love any southern landscape or building! It's hard for me to paint things I don't ever see like a castle, etc.
Fantastic... thanks
Thank you for this video something I really need thank you
Awesome video.
I loved this video. This is something I would like to try.
This is excellent! Love the colors, showdows and a lesson on light. Thanks
Love.. Love..Love it!!!❤
I am trying to preserve the light as I paint and get the values right. Thank you for this demonstration.
Beautiful 🤩 so soft ❤❤
I just love old farm buildings! Thank you so much for your advice and ideas.
Really nice little painting! As time passes, we see fewer and fewer of these rustic beauties. We're grateful for artists who take time to record the appearance of these landmarks before nature reclaims them!
Yes, so true. Thanks for viewing and commenting.
A wonderful tutorial on light, colour and technique! One of my favourites! Thanks Steve
Magnificent! 🥰
😂🎉😂FANTASTIC, congratulations thanks a lot for sharing your wonderful painting 💥💥💥👌👌👌
Great Job Sir.Thank ypu for sharing.
Wonderful tutorial, thank you! I’m in Appalachia and these barns are everywhere. I’ve been wanting to paint them. Your instruction will help tremendously.
Sweet ol' shed! Thanks for sharing this with us Steve! Amazing light effects too! SO well done and creating just a bit of envy today! Stay safe and be well!
I like how you handled the sunlight, but what I learned most was how you handled the boards and the rust on the roof tins. Around here we too have a lot of old barns, sheds, and homes that look pretty much like the one you sketched. Many are downright great pictures just waiting to get put down on paper. Might just want to repaint some of my past paintings. Thanks for another one.
Thank you for this lesson
I wasn't specific with my brush question. The princeton 12 with the very pointy tip. It doesn't appear to be an aqua elite but that's all I'm finding. Covet.
Really enjoyed this tutorial. The light is wonderful. It also shows how important a good under drawing is. 💕
Super super beautiful work ❤thank you for teaching!
Just wondering if you can paint southwestern style with cactus mountains, rocks, the desert plants, etc. will be awesome.❤ 🌄🏔️🌵🪴🌵🌿
This is one of my favorites that you’ve done. Great explanation of technique and color. Thank you!
Your drawing is absolutely amazing as well!! Wow!!❤
Great video 🎉
Great study and advice to keep it understated….that whine was my guilty conscience 😂
Thank you, Steve! Loved the complete tutorial!
Beautiful! Thanks for these videos!
Very nice sir ❤
Love this one so much!
Really nice, you've captured what you wanted!❤
Really stunning! Thank you so much for this video.
Beautiful work, as always Steve! I always learn something new with every video you do. Thanks for all your hard work!!
Very kind and encouraging Steve. Thanks for the comment and the visit.,
I really like this painting! You did a great job in capturing the light! I must try and get some pictures...there are lots of buildings like that around here! I love watercolor; there is no end to what you can learn, and you are a great teacher!
I love this! ❤️
That initial colour worked really well as the highlight on the barn. At first I didn’t think it would - but of course it’s all a question of tonal values. Thank you.
With all the perfection we see in your paintings, Steve, I’d be curious to see something that you consider unsatisfactory, and why.
I’ve done a few of those videos. 😁
Lovely! I'm very interested in the brush you are using. I didn't see it listed but the point is amazing.
I'm pretty sure it's the Silver Black Velvet brushes, I've seen him using these before.
@@cindyhorton6980 I have that brush. I'm talking about the other brush he used which is not listed bur thanks for trying! 👍🙂
@@cynthiamoon4315 Oh yea, I noticed that one. I was wondering too, I hope he answers you! ❤️
@@cynthiamoon4315 By the way, do u like your silver brushes and are they really soft.
It looks to be a Princeton Aqua Elite long round
Hi, Steve, I hope this gets to you. I'd be really interested in a tutorial showing how to get a smooth, streak free blue sky on a somewhat larger paper - say, a landscape 12 x 19. Paper, water, color and so on.....
Try this video. ruclips.net/video/8WthjR2CLMQ/видео.html
You make it look so simple, but put the paintbrush in MY hand…..!! 🫣
