Great Guide! I actually just did this on my 2nd playthrough. I wish the AWD upgrade wasn't on a russian map. I feel like by then trucks like the Tayga and the AZov just outshine it. It would be nice to get that upgrade in blackriver! That upgrade makes it quite good!
I can't think of any DLC trucks that are better than the trucks that came with the base game. That might change with the Western Star 49x but we shall see.
It's too bad that this truck is neglected by pretty much everyone that plays this game, simply because getting the upgrades to actually make it useful is such a pain. I don't understand why upgrades for American trucks are in Russia and why some Russian vehicles have their upgrades in the US. It makes no sense and just gets annoying. The GMC in its stock configuration is pretty much useless. It gets stuck constantly, and it doesn't help that it's the first truck new players get their hands on, which can turn away new players after few hours of just getting stuck everywhere and not making any progress. I almost refunded the game early on because i kept getting stuck in literally every single puddle with the GMC. Luckily there is tons of tutorials that can help new players here on RUclips, and pretty much all of them tell you to get rid of this truck as soon as possible.

Agreed! It would have been nice to have all the upgrades in Michigan spread out between the 4 zones instead of putting the AWD in a DLC map!!
I wonder why they put such an upgrade into a Dlc. Why did they not patch it in the game? It does not make any sense...

GMC is one of the best trucks in the game, even though it is listed as a highway truck. I guess it's for those who don't own the DLC.
